Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

Hi ladies, I woke up yesterday with a reduction in symptoms, hoping they would reappear today but they haven’t.

My sensitive boobs are starting to disappear along with their fullness. I’m not experiencing the mild cramps/tugging I had since my BFP and my stomach feels ‘empty’, like my body isn’t preparing for a baby anymore.

I’m really upset and don’t know what to do. My fear is that this is the start of a MC. Has anyone else experienced this?

I’m 5+4 today so know it’s still very early, however the thought that something could be going wrong is panicking me.

AnaBananas · 16/07/2020 09:51

@Boredinthehouse12 try not to panic (I know it’s easier said than done). Perhaps check in with your GP and advise them of your concerns. I’m 5+3 and my mild cramping has pretty much subsided too, but my boobs are still slightly sensitive. Speak to your GP and see what they say.

HeadShouldersKnees · 16/07/2020 10:19

@Boredinthehouse12 during my last pregnancy my symptoms disappeared for a few days and would come back. Like you I worried but it's perfectly normal! Xx

Rainbow1808 · 16/07/2020 11:01

Looking for a bit of advice..sorry for the tmi. I’m 6+5 weeks and on Sunday me and DP ‘did the deed’ and ever since then I’ve been bleeding on and off. It’s more like pink discharge. I’ve been worried out of my mind thinking it’s another miscarriage. I have read online it could just be that my cervix was irritated. I did 2 tests last night, the line was very dark and the digital read 3+. I remember with my chemical, my tests were going lighter before the bleeding so I’m hanging onto this. Has anyone else experienced this?

SazCat · 16/07/2020 11:21

I started spotting yesterday which turned into bleeding overnight. Accompanied by painful cramps and backache. Am 5+1 weeks.

Called GP this morning and they said midwife is off today, got the nurse practitioner to call me back. He was really nice but just said put feet up, try not to worry and call back if bleed gets so heavy that it soaks a pad in an hour. Obviously can't relax, I feel that it's the start of a MC unfortunately Sad

Sussexbysea · 16/07/2020 11:23

@Boredinthehouse12 oh lovely, I really hope it’s not.

Maybe try and get some bed rest? Drink some water and watch some rubbish tv.

Thinking of you and keep us all updated xx

Boredinthehouse12 · 16/07/2020 11:37

@AnaBananas my boobs are still slightly sensitive too but nowhere near as much as they have been.

@HeadShouldersKnees I’m really hoping that’s the case but a part of me can’t help but to mentally prepare for the worst

@Sussexbysea thank you! I’m in bed at the moment, I can’t face doing any work (luckily it’s a quiet day)

AnaBananas · 16/07/2020 11:47

@Boredinthehouse12 - same here! Boobs were way more sensitive before. Can hardly feel anything unless I actually rub them (tmi sorry). Our symptoms seem similar, which makes sense as we’re only one day apart. I’ll be honest, I did panic this morning when I thought my boobs weren’t as sensitive. But when I did my first morning pee, I’ve noticed that it still had a different odour which I have been getting since my bfp (sorry, tmi again). You should be fine, many people hardly experience any symptoms in the first trimester. GP said to me that symptoms may be heightened around the time AF is due as your body is getting used to not releasing an egg.

AnaBananas · 16/07/2020 11:50

@SazCat so sorry to hear this. Just try and relax. Watch a movie and keep yourself distracted. Really hoping you and baby are all ok. Sending you good vibes virtually!

Boredinthehouse12 · 16/07/2020 11:57

@AnaBananas that offers some relief! I’ve been rubbing mine since yesterday trying to judge the level of sensitivity lol. Since my BFP I’ve noticed a change in my pee too which is still the same today so perhaps I don’t have anything to worry about. You’ve really lifted my spirit! X

SmileyT · 16/07/2020 12:25

@Boredinthehouse12 @AnaBananas I've also noticed my nipples are no longer sensitive to the touch and feeling much less bloated today, I'm 5w today so you've both given me some hope that this could all be normal changes. I guess most people don't even find out until about this time so it's not crazy that they aren't off the scale intense for most so trying to stay positive (also I did a test yesterday and much stronger than any others I've taken so that has made me feel like hcg must still be going up 🤞) x

AnaBananas · 16/07/2020 12:34

@Boredinthehouse12 Yey! I’m glad I’ve made you feel better! Xx

@SmileyT that sounds promising. I must admit too that I’ve brought cheap pregnancy tests from eBay and have been using them regularly for reassurance. It’s probably because I have still received no contact from the midwife and 12 weeks until the scan is so long away. I’ve felt like the last two and a half weeks since getting my BFP has dragged.

annahannah · 16/07/2020 12:44

Hi all - congratulations to you all! My period was due 2 days ago but is pretty irregular anyway. Have done a test on the ofchance and nothing showed up straight away, but after coming back to it I think I can see a line. Have tested on 2 other cheapies and 1 showed a similar faint line. Then tested first response and no line.

Could it be....? Trying to figure out how to put a photo of my test on here so you can help me. Is this the right thread to do that in?

Boredinthehouse12 · 16/07/2020 12:49

@SmileyT my bloating has completely settled too! Up until 2 days ago I was belching uncontrollably and was bloated like never before. It has really subsided in the last 2 days and reduced to a more lady like level lol.

@AnaBananas I got my BFP at 9 dpo and it feels like forever, even though I know it’s not! Any thoughts on an early scan? I received a letter from the hospital yesterday and they’ve booked me in for my first scan on 8th September. I’m not sure I can wait that long, especially if I continue to feel the way I did this morning

DivaRainbow · 16/07/2020 13:06

@sazcat Thinking of you ❤... Try and relax, I know its easlier said than done.

Boredinthehouse12 · 16/07/2020 13:43

@SazCat I’m really sorry to hear that. As pp said, try to relax and get some rest. Let us know how you get on. Sending love and light your way xx

Sakura54 · 16/07/2020 13:57

I went to A&E as I'm spotting and I have a history of MC. They’ve booked me in for a scan tomorrow. This is why I didn’t want to waste time and have my blood test and checks done so early, but it was done the other day. I don’t have a good feeling about this. Wish me luck, guys.

Sussexbysea · 16/07/2020 14:29

@SazCat hope it doesn’t come to anything. Bed rest lovely xx

@Sakura54 so sorry to hear this. I hope it’s just a bleed and nothing worse. Lots of love!

@annahannah sounds like an evaporation line if you’ve left it too long. Remember, tests are very sensitive and will pick up the faintest of hormones, sometimes even chemical pregnancy hormones. If you’ve got the tests, test again in the morning and then maybe leave it a day or two. Either way you’ll fine out. Good luck

SmileyT · 16/07/2020 14:44

@AnaBananas okay you've made me feel better I think because I tested day before period due at 13dpo i was really concerned about a chemical, so feel better I'm past 5 weeks. OH said if it makes you feel calmer that can only be a good thing ☺️ with my trust you have first contact with midwife between 8-10weeks, so hopefully have my first appt middle of August x

@Boredinthehouse12 I was actually smiling so much as I was sick this morning, funnily enough my boyfriend is allergic to soya, had some this morning and threw up 🤮 I've booked an early scan for 8 weeks on the 7th August, I can't bare the thought of getting to 12 weeks and them saying pregnancy stopped progressing 6 weeks ago so hopefully will give me a bit of reassurance before the big one x

@SazCat thinking of you, if you are worried I would call your local EPU and see if they'll take bloods for reassurance, have you done another pregnancy test? xx

SazCat · 16/07/2020 15:33

I've had a few clots now and still cramping, so I don't think it's looking good. Not got any tests but can pick one up tomorrow.

I think the Epu only take referrals, the GPs didn't seem interested unless my bleeding was really heavy.

Trying not to worry too much, what will be will be I guess. Maybe test tomorrow although I assume hcg levels would still be up for a while even after a MC?

Had such a smooth pregnancy first time I don't think I'd even considered anything would go wrong this time :(

Rainbow1808 · 16/07/2020 15:42

@SazCat So sorry you’re going through this. I was the same with my last pregnancy that ended up a MC. I already had a child and everything was ok during that pregnancy, it never even crossed my mind that anything could go wrong. Then I started miscarrying and I was so shocked I just wasn’t expecting it. Regarding the tests, I know it’s not the same for everyone, but I took a test when I started bleeding and the line had gone fainter. Then a couple of days later the line was barely there. Not a nice thing, but at the same time it gave me an idea of what was happening. Hope everything works out ok for you. It’s not nice xx

Sussexbysea · 16/07/2020 15:50

@SazCat I’m really sorry that you’re going through this.

Are you under the care of a midwife yet? If not, the GP’s will be of the opinion that there’s nothing they can do. So horrible isn’t it.

Is this around when your period would have been due?

ALew15 · 16/07/2020 15:55

@SmileyT happy joint 5 weeks! I've just booked an early scan too, I'll be 7+4 (3rd August) hoping that they can see something.
My lack of symptoms is making me paranoid! Although I was so unwell with MMC last year until my 12w scan (baby stopped at about 4w) so it means nothing really.

Asha88 · 16/07/2020 16:04

*Sussexbysea My period was due last weds, so I'm just over 5 weeks. I'd arranged my booking in for when I'm 8 weeks but other than that had no contact with midwives.

I do understand the GP response just horrible waiting to see what happens.

*Rainbow1808 Thank you, I think I will test tomorrow just so it might give me an idea of whats happening.

I am feeling as though it might be cos I'm 39 now and was 4 years younger in my last pregnancy, but who knows :(
