Hi guys! Just found out were expecting. Very early but have no one else I can compare symptoms or questions with. Also thought it would be nice to follow pregnancies together. Expected due date should be the middle of March!

My aching/cramping feeling and lower back pain hasn't shifted at all today, even after a lie down and a bath. Is this normal?

Nmvasey · 13/07/2020 18:05

@bobloblawlawblog I'm in a similar position. I think the preg hormones are causing a flare up of IBS, we'll that is what I hope it is. I did have a chat with a midwife earlier and she didn't seem overly concerned but the cramping is really quite painful at times. I also have some mild lower back pain too.

I don't like to take tablets at the best of times but what are everyone's thoughts on paracetamols? I've read various things but midwife said perfectly safe during all stages. Are we ok with hot water bottles directly on tummy area.

bobloblawlawblog · 13/07/2020 18:12

Paracetamol totally fine but hasn't helped mom tbh

bobloblawlawblog · 13/07/2020 18:12

Mine not mom

Hi!! New here, am currently around 4 weeks so very early days, due in March apparently but can't do the maths..!! A few cramps, nausea, very sore boobs!

Haven't told anyone, would love to tell parents on both sides but thinking it's sensible to wait til after the first scan. It's self referral here, not sure if it's all odd due to the er, apocalypse, or if this is the norm!

If all goes okay this'll be my first, honestly didn't think it would ever happen. Have peed on many many sticks (usually at 3am when anxious) because I can't believe it's real!

Anyway, hi all!!!

HeadShouldersKnees · 13/07/2020 18:36

@sikasika congrats! We are similar dates as I am 4 weeks too. It's early days for us! Have you had any symptoms? I've just had the tiredness and the metal taste in my mouth. Xx

Hi @HeadShouldersKnees :)

Ooo yay, someone else super duper early! I've got sore boobs and some cramping, I may be more tired but I have chronic fatigue syndrome so it's hard to tell!

I definitely feel 'different' somehow. How about you?

DivaRainbow · 13/07/2020 19:41

@Nmvasey Im having a huge IBS flare up. My stomach is crampy and lower back is sore and just feel like I need to go all day 😣! Im using a hot water bottle on my tummy and back, The midwives suggested it with last pregnancy just not keeping it on long on my tummy.

hellymum21 · 13/07/2020 20:09

Can I ask a bit of a personal question ladies.....have any of you experience lots more discharge since finding out you're pregnant? I had two miscarriages prior to this pregnancy (one in November and one feb) and I didn't have any discharge with those pregnancies. This time I have lots of clear milky discharge and sometimes feel wet 😳this obvs makes me paranoid and think the worst then I check and it's just discharge. I'm 5+3 today. I've read it's a sign of healthy pregnancy....any similar experiences?? Also have really sore/hot boobs and nausea throughout the day which I didn't have either time before so I'm crossing everything that this is all good!!! 🤞🤞🤞

TweetyPie2021 · 13/07/2020 20:14

@hellymum21 heya, I'm 5+5 today and I do get a discharge but it varies every day, sometimes it's a bit, other times non at all. As for my boobs... don't get me started! They are so sensitive and itchy ! Blush

hellymum21 · 13/07/2020 20:20

@TweetyPie2021 it's unbearable at times isn't it! I had to sleep on my back the other night, I couldn't even lie on my side cos they hurt when they hit the mattress 🤣🤣that being said, I'm delighted to have all these symptoms 🥰🥰tiredness is a killer too but I am waking lots during the night 😫

Hi everyone can I join? I’m 6weeks pregnant with my 3rd, this baby was a bit of a surprise so still getting my head around it really!
I’m due around 7th march.

hellymum21 · 13/07/2020 20:22

Oops dunno why that posted 3 times!

Belle1983 · 13/07/2020 20:23

Evening everyone.
Just found out I'm (very early) pregnant last night.
I'm over the moon but shocked. At 37, no previous pregnancies or near misses, I was expecting this to take a long time.
Got lucky on first try.
Don't want to tell anyone as I'm so aware it's very early days, but also want to share it with the world!
Anyway...thought I'd join this thread. Smile

Nmvasey · 13/07/2020 20:28

@DivaRainbow I'm having a bit of a panic the more I read I'm freaking out thinking it might be an ectopic. I've waited so long for this and I'm terrified. Called early pregnancy and they're not willing to scan me unless it gets so bad I need to go to A&E or my doctor refers me for a scan. It tends to subside after a bowel movement for a while which is why I'm hoping it's IBS. How are you feeling? I think I just need some reassurance and to stop reading stuff!

Welcome all and congrats! 🙂

TweetyPie2021 · 13/07/2020 20:29

@hellymum21 lmao!! I folded my arms and I could have sworn it hurt that much!!! But yes your right, I wouldn't have it any other way! )And I wish you all the very very best with your pregnancy!) x

hellymum21 · 13/07/2020 20:50

Thanks @TweetyPie2021 you too 🥰xx

Phie04 · 13/07/2020 21:32

@hellymum21 at the moment mine is just white and sticky! Not really sure if thats normal. Haven't really got many symptoms which is worrying me as I only have cramping, slightly sore boobs and the constant need to wee!! Sometimes I have a wave of feeling nauseous but after a 5 min lie down it goes and does come back. Have a phone call with midwife tomorrow so nervous as don't know what this hour long call will be about...

@belle1983 congrats! Delighted for you 🥰 and that it was so quick for you guys. It took us a few months but we are relatively lucky. Hope your feeling ok xx

Its hard not to read up on every symptom, This is my 3rd and I still find myself turning to google! I find EPU are very laid back but if you feel in your gut something is not right push them for a scan! I feeling quite sore tonight in my lower back and constantly feeling like I need a bowel movement. Also very bloated today 🙈
