@BabyG123 I know it’s crazy how it can change so quickly. I am trying to hide but all my trousers are too tight so want to have my scan on Wednesday to check all is ok before I order any bigger size or maternity ones xx

CoalCraft · 06/07/2020 12:44

13+4 today and feeling a bit down. Had a bit of bleeding yesterday, only the tiniest little trace, bit after over two weeks with bigger if started to think I was past it all. Now I'm just worried again. I'm desperate to get to the stage where I'm definitely showing, at least to myself in front of the mirror even if it's not obvious with clothes on, just so I have some sort of reminder that I'm pregnant and things are progressing. I have no real symptoms and it's so long till the 20 week scan.

On a more random note, is active else getting hiccoughs a lot? It seems like every time I eat I have a long bout of then.

TerribleImagination · 06/07/2020 13:01

@blueskiesandapples I feel your pain on the sickness! I’ve had 24/7 nausea since 6 weeks, but haven’t actually been sick. I’m 13+1 today and it’s finally starting to ease a bit. It’s still there, but over the weekend I noticed it’s more manageable than it has been, so it will get better lovey! I was the same as you and starting to think it would never end! Im hoping the magic 14 weeks will be a game changer and I’ll feel full of beans again 🤞🏻😂

Carabu1 · 06/07/2020 13:52

@coalcraft I feel you! I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, and I look basically normal. My 20 week scan isn't actually until 21 weeks, it feels like forever away! I have a cervix length check next week though - don't know if they might have a sneaky peek at the baby while they're at it...that would be lovely! And ty not to panic about the bleeding - its quite common I think, but if its really stressing you out call your midwife?

blueskiesandapples · 06/07/2020 15:16

Thanks ladies that has helped me feel a bit better! Nausea started in week 5 for me and has been constant but have also been throwing up daily for the last 2.5 weeks. If it continues I'll talk to the doctor @MayBug2020 and @terribleimagination I'll hang in there.

In other news I had my kidney checked for hydronephrosis on Friday and the sonographer had a cheeky look and could see something there and a heartbeat! Hoping it sticks around for my proper scan in 2 weeks!! He showed me and I was like Rachel from Friends - it just looked like a blob to me! Xx

T2020 · 06/07/2020 16:45

Hey ladies, I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and over the last few days sore boobs have gone and im only getting up once in the night. Bit worried but still have the nausea, not as bad as its been but it's lingering. My scan isn't until 13+1 weeks so feels like forever to wait to make sure everything is ok, has anyone elses symptoms changed this early??

lydiangel83 · 07/07/2020 07:13

Hi can I join please? Am 11+5 and due 21/01 - day before my bday! I am 37 and have DD 2.5 yo who we had traumatic birth and quite a few health complications with. I am still damaged from labour so bit nervous about this pregnancy and delivery. Luckily she is healthy and happy now though :)

I have piled on weight so far all over and had severe nausea but not actually vomited. I hope it eases soon as feeling a bit miserable!

MayBug2020 · 07/07/2020 08:57

@T2020 hello! I haven’t personally had the symptoms change but I know a few others in this forum have and some haven’t had any at all. I believe it’s Normal as you go through the weeks so try not to worry.

@lydiangel83 of course! Congratulations! If I go by my early private scan I am one day ahead of you but have my dating scan tomorrow so will get that confirmed. Already starting to feel anxious about the scan - just want to know everything is ok xx

Wineandrun · 07/07/2020 10:07

Hi @lydiangel83, welcome! I’m 37 as well, having my 3rd, due 27.1. I’ve had terrible sickness and nausea but have woken up today feeling a million times better! I’ve also piled on the weight, literally the second I got a positive test by body said here, have an extra half a stone of fat!! Desperate to start doing some exercise again but just haven’t been up to it.

Beni07 · 07/07/2020 10:12

@T2020 I am 10+6 today and I feel so normal, my symptoms have gone for the last few days and my scan is 13+1 as well. I guess is normal, all of us are different , you are not alone xx

MeganC104 · 07/07/2020 10:18

@MayBug2020 I am near Camberley :)

Boof87 · 07/07/2020 10:29

@beni07 my symptoms seem to be disappearing too. I had neasuea from week 6 and I'm now 10+3. I get a little sickness and headaches of an evening but I work shifts so my sleep pattern is a little all over the place! Ive not actually thrown up but there's been some retching for sure! My boots hurt especially in the morning when I get up!

Is anyone in the London area or have had any experience at Kings Hospital?

MayBug2020 · 07/07/2020 10:35

@MeganC104 oh wow not far at all. How far along are you? Is this your first? X

MeganC104 · 07/07/2020 10:45

Yes, I'm 13 weeks tomorrow. What about you?

blueskiesandapples · 07/07/2020 11:15

For ladies who have had their dating scan and chosen to get the NT combi test - how long does it take for the results? X

TerribleImagination · 07/07/2020 11:40

@blueskiesandapples I was told when I got the bloods done that if I looked high risk, I’d hear from my midwife in around 5-7 days from when they took the bloods. But if not, I’d get a letter in the post after a couple of weeks. I’ve had nothing through yet and my scan was on Monday last week, so assuming all is ok! 🤞🏻

MeganC104 · 07/07/2020 11:49

I had mine Friday and was told 10 days for the letter

MayBug2020 · 07/07/2020 12:13

@MeganC104 I will be 12 weeks tomorrow going by my epu scan but have my dating scan tomorrow morning - so anxious as I just want everything to be ok.

@blueskiesandapples I had my bloods on 28th and nothing yet but wonder if I have to have my scan as well? They do them separately in my trust x

MarvEll · 07/07/2020 13:09

@blueskiesandapples had scan and blood tests on the 1st, lower risk result by letter yesterday, so pretty quick for good news. I was told it would be 1-2weeks either way. I'm in Essex

The test results were the last obstacle I had in my mind to distract me from the scary thought of an (planned) actual baby 😬. We've told all the family and close friends now. Feels very real! And also a big relief

MilsCookie · 07/07/2020 13:10

@blueskiesandapples I got my results exactly a week after my scan/bloods. Thankfully all came back low risk x

IshaPoet · 07/07/2020 14:02

Hi ladies hope your all well.

Welcome all the mums to the group congrats and hope your all enjoying your symptoms 🤣🤣 I've been so achy the last few days I think it maybe the ligaments stretching.

Any of you beauties in the Essex Redbridge area? I'm booked at Queens Hospital but I have a few of my scans and consultations at King George's Hospital. I've been told I'm high risk but I think that maybe because of the bleed I had with my both my last two pregnancies after birth. Hoping this pregnancy and labour will be smooth sailing.

My next scan is on the 22nd July for my 12 week scan but I'll be about 13 weeks. I'm going to ask if my partner can come for the next scan fingers crossed they'll be able to.

I'm 10+4 today.

lydiangel83 · 07/07/2020 14:13

@Wineandrun sound similar to me, I managed to not put in much weight through lockdown then 3kg in 2 wks once pregnant! I don't mind as long as don't continue at this rate, my clothes don't fit me already and I'm only 11+5, I was wearing normal clothes until 18/19 wks last time! Did you get bigger quicker with your second? I'm keen to get back to running when this awful nausea subsided!

OhSoCherished · 07/07/2020 15:29

Hi everyone! I hope you are all well. I thought to ask something here as I haven't had much luck elsewhere, and thought someone might have some insight into what I've been going through.

So I'm 14+1 and for a couple of days now, I've been having what I assume to be contractions. I'm not certain as this is my first pregnancy, but it feels like a tightening that builds up, intensifies, then slowly relaxes and I can feel my rock hard uterus when it happens. It's happening roughly every 3 minutes, for about 30 secs.

I normally suffer from pretty bad period pains and this is not quite like that. I've had no bleeding, or any unusual discharge at all throughout my pregnancy.

Has anyone else had anything like this?

@lydiangel83 I was a lot bigger second time round and I got bigger earlier. Both bump and weight gain wise. This time I’m about the same size as I was at 20 weeks with my first (thats not an exaggeration!). I can get my clothes on but they are not comfy!
