@Bubbabee glad the headaches are settling down a bit now. I'm doing okay thanks, anomaly Scan tomorrow 🤞 alls okay!
Hope everyone is okay?

MeganC104 · 08/09/2020 10:13

Has anyone else started feeling nauseous again? 2 days in a row I've felt terrible in the morning with headaches and nausea. I'm 22 weeks

T2020 · 08/09/2020 11:19

My nausea comes and goes, I'm fine for a week then I'll have a day where it's really bad again. 21 weeks today, had my 20 week scan last week and all was great they changed the restrictions the day before too so hubby got to attend. Not all great as I've been diagnosed with pelvic girdle pain and referred to a physio, it's unbearable after a bit of walking and keeping me awake at night when trying to sleep on my sides. Hoping physio will help, I'm not sure how I'll cope with it getting worse over the next 20 weeks. I've started buying things off the never ending baby list, still need to get a pram/travel system and a bedside crib then I think I'm just about organised. How's everyone else getting on, has anyone else had pelvic problems?

IshaPoet · 08/09/2020 22:08

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been so quiet and stalking the page lol just been so busy I haven't really had the chance to msg or say anything in the group.

Honestly I'm a little stressed I think I may have overdone the lifting- I'm officially 20 weeks in 2 days- but 2 days ago I lifted my sofa to put the clean protective cover on it and since then I haven't really been feeling much movement from Cocobean. I don't want to get paranoid and start stressing myself out but the little tickles and butterflies touches I used to feel have basically disappeared.
I have my scan in 2 days so I'm wondering should I just wait it out and hope for the best bcos that's the only day ex is coming down to watch the girls for me so I can go to the hospital so should I call my epu and let them know or should I just keep drinking my ice cold water and wait for my scan.

I hope your all ok- been getting the worst indigestion at night to the point where I need to vomit but Renee has been my bff so I'm dealing with it as best as possible.

19+5 today 💜

dixiedo · 10/09/2020 20:21

@IshaPoet I hope your scan went well! X

Pinkpaintlover · 11/09/2020 09:07

Morning everyone. Time seems to be going fast now. Sept already! I’m 23 weeks now and feeling good. Making the most of it as I got the pelvic pain last time near the end. Is anyone having a csection? If so, do you know when?
How is everyone doing?

dixiedo · 11/09/2020 12:17

Hello everyone.
I'm 24 weeks today. Feel like it's a milestone!
I found out what I'm having after all and I'm having a boy. Absolutely thrilled. And spent far too much money on shopping so I'm on a ban!
Baby is moving loads.
I've been having bad headaches and horrendous heartburn too. GP has given me extra big gaviscon bottles. It makes me heave every time. Had to go for mint as aniseed was intolerable felt like being teenager and someone ordering a sambuca!
This is the baby at 23+5 xxx

Sunshinedahlia · 12/09/2020 08:33

Morning everyone! Wow, great picture @dixiedo ! I‘ve also been busying buying things, getting baby room kind of ready and reading reviews about everything.

Finally decided we‘re getting the Bugaboo Fox 2. After folding and unfolding it and a few others for a loooong time! Has anyone else picked their pram yet? What are you getting?

Starting to realise the 2nd trimester „energy burst“ is only relevant in comparison to how I felt in the 1st trimester... hehe.

dixiedo · 12/09/2020 10:21

@Sunshinedahlia thank you. 😊 I have bought the Fox2 aswell. Loved how compact it folded. I really wanted the Stokke Trailz but couldn't fit in my car!

Sunshinedahlia · 12/09/2020 13:48

Oh you too @dixiedo ! What colours did you get? And do you have a car seat already?

dixiedo · 12/09/2020 13:56

I was torn between the dark grey mineral collection and the black / grey melange. Went for the melange in the end!
I have bought the doona car seat and Isofix base!
What about you?
I think I have bought everything now minus the actual cot bed and a changing bag.
I am thinking it's going to go fast now aswell. My loft conversion should be finished by end of October so I'll start on a little bedroom then hopefully ! X

Has anyone been so moody?!
My headaches are horrendous and I've been in a bad mood for about two days now 😂 x

Maxdoggy · 12/09/2020 14:22

I’ve bought nothing but about 4 babygrows that I couldn’t resist off eBay! Probably ought to get organised...

I’m glad we’re talking pushchairs- as a FTM I am completely clueless ! Does shops let you test them out etc? I don’t have the first clue as to what we should get- only that I was something small, portable and easy to fold with one hand.
No idea what I’m doing tho- pushchair/stroller/peak/travel system... apparently these are not all the same thing?! Hmm

StephS1984 · 12/09/2020 15:15

We have a couple of ideas for the travel system we think we like JoolZ Geo 2, but need to go to an actual shop to see what it’s like.

Has anyone fainted while pregnant?

I did today, I’ve never fainted before, but was waiting outside a bakery for our takeaway and came over dizzy. Luckily I was with my husband and managed to say I didn’t feel so good, so grabbed onto him before I blacked out. Next thing I knew I was sat on the floor confused, my husband had safely got me to the floor, so no fall or bump. I called maternity day unit and they said I have to rest and take it easy. It’s just made me a bit nervous to go out on my own.

Sorry for such a long rambling post.

23+4

MeganC104 · 12/09/2020 15:39

Glad to hear your ok, I've been feeling faint at times but not actually fainted. I threw up today though after weeks of no morning sickness.

I also have absolutely no idea about pushchairs and all these different types. I think I'm just looking for a foldable pram that changes to a stroller when the baby is older. well probably get second hand as can't afford the £1000+ I'm seeing in shops.

Sunshinedahlia · 12/09/2020 17:58

I just looked for a pram that turns into a stroller, one that was lightweight and folded small, and was good off-road. Once you start looking around you start to get the idea. I read some rankings and comparisons of ones I liked. Then we went to a baby shop and asked to look at the ones we were interested in. I chose 2 top range ones and a cheap alternative. Then we pushed them around, and got the shop assistant to show us how to fold them and then practiced many times!
I like the Melange grey and blue hood, but my partner doesn‘t like the blue so maybe it will be all grey 🤷🏻‍♀️
Haven‘t looked at car seats yet!

dixiedo · 12/09/2020 17:59

@StephS1984 that sounds so scary! Bless you. I would definitely mention to your own midwife and rest. I hope you're okay.

A lot of shops were appointment only and I emailed loads until I found one that would let me try in my boot as I have a saloon so limited on height!

Baffled my why I could put the pushchair up and down and touch in the shop but not try outside the door in the boot as if my boot would have Covid and I wouldn't?
Same with car seats. Those that haven't had one I would definitely google make sure it will fit in your car first. The one I have bought is really big to be honest!

I've gone for the fox2 as needed an all terrain as were semi rural but spend a lot of time in a field.
There's loads of time to buy things. I've had to be quite organised early as we have so much going on in the house I can focus on that now and hopefully have a few weeks of chilling before the baby comes. X

mumsofboys · 12/09/2020 19:43

@StephS1984 my friend had this is he did have blood tests and turnt our to have gestational diabetes so maybe put forward for blood tests?

mumsofboys · 12/09/2020 19:46

Just catching up, had really bad pelvic girdle pain already. Struggling to walk some days. 😤

Got all my sons baby stuff out the loft this week, weird having it all ready to wash whilst it's still sunny!

StephS1984 · 13/09/2020 19:23

@dixiedo I have my 24/25 week check up where I actually get to see my midwife so will mention it then. But feeling ok today, a bit tired, but managed a trip to John Lewis to check out travel systems. It was really odd , no appointment needed and you could try out the prams without them being wiped first or multiple hand sanitizer.

@mumsofboys I’ll ask about more blood tests, I know I had the diabetes test at 12 weeks, as I’m higher risk (my mum has type 2), but would be good to have it again and be able to rule it out. Hopefully it was just a one off. Hope your pelvic pain isn’t too bad.

Not looking forward to this mini heatwave expected for this week.

mumsofboys · 13/09/2020 21:09

@StephS1984 I had one at 12 weeks and I need to book again at 26 weeks as high risk so you may be the same?

We bought a double toddler and newborn travel system today too!

Pol96 · 14/09/2020 09:16

Does anyone have a consultant?
I'm midwife led but my midwife at my booking appointment said I need a consultants opinion due to a couple of my nieces having some issues (one has microthalmia and one has marfans, from different half siblings) I have the appointment today and no idea what they're going to do at it.. Do you think they'll just read notes/look at scans and see if I need anything extra? All scans have been fine..

Sophiamel987 · 14/09/2020 11:14

Hi ladies, I’ve definitely gone overboard on the baby buys but I’m just so excited and feeling quite organised. I ordered the new silver cross pioneer eclipse bundle, I love it. I went to Fenwicks and John Lewis and had a look at a variety of prams before I chose mine. Has anyone got a preference over next to me crib or snug pod? I’m undecided . Hope everyone is well 😊

Pinkpaintlover · 14/09/2020 11:52

Ooh excited for you all buying bits. It’s my second so not getting anything really yet. Poor child! Doesn’t help that we don’t the sex either 🤣

I’m borrowing a Snuz Pod that a friend said was great if that helps

CoalCraft · 14/09/2020 12:23

I'm not buying anything yet, but have been kindly given quite a few bits. Haven't really say down and gone through what we have and what we still need yet though; all seems still so far away.

23+4 today

Positivetime · 14/09/2020 13:05

Does anyone get painful constipation symptoms and any tips for it? I seem to go and it feels I haven’t fully emptied my bowels and then I’m in pain all day. Tried everything!
