Thanks @CoalCraft and @dixiedo
The thing is I’m travelling back from France today (at a million miles an hour).

I finally got through to midwives (after 6 attempts!) who said to come back and get checked out once back, as apparently I won’t be able to attend 29 week scan if I’m not back by 4am tomorrow morning.

Lollipop93 · 14/08/2020 10:32

Hey everyone hope you are doing well.

@Maxdoggy don’t wait just try cal for peace of mind they will say it’s nothing but best just cover yourself

So a bit of an update from me... a couple of weeks ago I ended up getting an internal examination and a scan at 16 weeks because I felt what I thought was fluid loss (I honestly thought my waters had started leaking at obv at this point that is not good news)

They checked everything and said my cervix was closed and the baby in the scan was fine.

I have said before about the increase in discharge and it’s rather goey and reminds me of what looks like bits of a mucas plug. So I’m still getting this increase in discharge and the goey stuff and sometimes it’s tinged brown(old blood) and sometimes a tiny tiny bit of red. I never had anything like this before with my first baby so I’m getting anxious. But maybe it’s just the effects of having an internal?

I have an appointment at day care next week for bloods so I’m defo going to mention it then but obv if it gets any worse or I notice more I’m just going to cal straight away. It’s just such a nerve racking time isn’t it....

Apart from that I’m feeling what I think is movement I’m only 17 weeks so it is still early but it’s just random little feelings that I think must be movement. My bump comes and goes depending on what I’m wearing and what time of day it is. My nausea has worn off and and comes on a bit at night or randomly. Just been feeling so tired in the evenings.

Sorry for the long post but wanted to update you all! How many weeks are you all now? How are all your symptoms? Who’s finding out the gender? I don’t know if we are this time. We might have a surprise

(17+5)

dixiedo · 14/08/2020 11:00

@Maxdoggy oh gosh what a nightmare ! I hope you get back bless you. I was only asking about DTD by the way as I had some pink discharge after being on top the other week and I panicked a bit. I really hope you can get back I was reading the news before and it looks manic!

@CoalCraft that sounds scary too glad you got checked. With DS2 I had gushes of water about 23 weeks and I was in hospital devastated they had gone. Turns out I was actually just wetting myself 🙃 I didn't have any feeling of peeing. It was literally just a couple of uncontrollable gushes. I was mortified. The discharge sounds odd though. Probably just cervix being sensitive from internal but I would ask the question if you're worried.
I'm having a surprise too which feels rather odd and scary xx

TerribleImagination · 14/08/2020 11:02

@CoalCraft My bump is coming along nicely! She’s a little wriggler, but I love being able to feel her move! I’m so lucky I can feel it this early (posterior placenta).

Hey ladies.. just a check in how are you all? Not really felt my little lady yet. Maybe some flutters I think. She's really popped out these past few days too.. 19+2. Xx

Lollipop93 · 14/08/2020 23:06

So I had some blood earlier when I went to the loo I felt it come out into the pan and then when I wiped bright red blood :/ never had this before in this pregnancy or with my first baby so I was petrified. Went to my maternity triage and they found the heart beat and did an internal examination the doctor said she can see the discharge but everything looks ok and it is quite common but I’ve just to come back if the bleeding comes back. I have my 20 week scan in 3 weeks time :/ god girls the worry just never ends

CoalCraft · 15/08/2020 06:58

Baby very active this morning; first time I've felt then in the morning, they're usually much more wriggly in the evenings. I know it's corny but I feel so full of love. Just want then here so I can give them a cuddle 💗

Three days to scan. Can't wait to be able to say he or she.

@Lollipop93 very scary for you but glad baby is okay. These things can happen in pregnancy but of course you made the right decision going to maternity triage

IshaPoet · 15/08/2020 11:08

Morning ladies.

Hope your all well. Honestly I don't think I'm going to have a peaceful pregnancy my family have now gone back to be asses and going in the full attack because I started a gofundme to get help and support which they've said they won't give bcos I put myself in the position when I should've gone for the abortion when they said before. My ex is refusing to help with in any capacity for the girls or baby so my friends came together and created the gofundme for me to help me but now I'm being dragged by my family talking about shaming the family and embarrassing them infront of the world because I've asked for help when they've made
It super duper bloody clear that they won't be helping to move, buy or help with new baby- like I'm 💩 under their shoe.

If by some miracle my child is born and is happy and not miserable to will be a shock honestly because with everything I'm dealing with I don't see how I'm going to get through this with my sanity intact.

Sorry that I'm so miserable and bringing the group down but you ladies and a handful of my friends are all the support I have. 🥺😔😭

BabyG123 · 15/08/2020 15:41

@IshaPoet have you looked into universal credit or how to make your ex help you I think it's called the csa? Not a clue though

It's his loss not seeing your children not theirs (by the sounds of it) better off without such 'role model' in their lives

Haven't been on here for a bit just been taking it steady letting life get away and the pregnancy 😂 I had my gender scan this morning and although the nub and skull theory and a lot of my symptoms pointed towards a boy I am having a girl! 2 daughters 15 months apart! Help me now 😂🙈 hope you're all doing well and staying healthy girls. Xx

Pinkpaintlover · 16/08/2020 05:28

@dixiedo thanks for asking. My scan went really well. Was amazing to see our little mini again. My partner wasn’t allowed to come but I got a little video for him. We are having a surprise this time although I already want to know. Eeks!
How did your scan go?

Pinkpaintlover · 16/08/2020 05:30

Hope everyone else’s scans go really well over next few weeks. And any bleeding stops.
Loving the cooler temperatures finally. And still suffering with peeing in the night and then not being able to get back to sleep 🤣

Bubbabee · 16/08/2020 16:20

@Lollipop93 hope your ok. I've had 6 bleeds and they are so worrying. Are you ok?
@IshaPoet aww hun I feel for you so much. I really hope you can come through this hard time. You deserve every happiness.
@mummasoph congrats on baby girl 💗

IshaPoet · 16/08/2020 16:23

@BabyG123 Yeah I've contacted universal credit for them to put through the CSA application so they pay me directly instead of getting him to do it.

@Bubbabee I'm trying my hardest to stay positive but it's hard. I'm about to have a lie down finally got both the girls down for a nap so I'm going to use this time to get some rest ❤️

Sunshinedahlia · 16/08/2020 16:27

Hi mums-to-be, hope you‘re all doing ok despite the many ups and downs.

Hang in there @IshaPoet, don‘t let people drag you down 💪

I‘m 16+4 now. Heard the baby’s heartbeat while seeing the midwife 2 days ago, made it seem real again 🙏
Next ultrasound scan in a week, really hoping we can find out the gender so I can stop referring to the baby as “it“. What do you all think, is it too early to tell?

Anyone else learning hypnobirthing? I just started doing a digital course with videos from the positive birth company. Will try anything to calm me down about the birth.

Also wondering if anyone has started thinking about themes for their baby stuff? We won‘t be painting the walls, but I thought it might be nice to have a theme for the musical thing that hangs over the cot (what is that called?! Baby brain already...?) and some early toys, pyjamas, a rug maybe and things like that.

Sophiamel987 · 16/08/2020 21:20

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing ok. I’ve been feeling really rough over the last month but felt so much better the last 10 day’s so hoping it stays like this. I had my 16 week scan today and we have decided to have a surprise however I was so tempted today. Would be nice to see what your thoughts were on the gender please.

@Sophiamel987 I'd sway to boy by nub and the folk 🥰

@Sunshinedahlia hypnobirthing sounds so good I would like to look more into that to be honest. !
@Pinkpaintlover fab they let you take a video I'm made up for you :)

Scan went well! Baby was perfect. I feel very lucky I was overly anxious about the scan. It also looks very cute and scarily like my boys scans so I'm leaning towards boy.
DP tried to look when the sonographer went to do the kidneys but I turned my head and he couldn't make anything out anyway it was quite funny. So still a surprise baby 👶🏻

SO GLAD it's gone cooler too. We're all steam ahead on the house work though and it's getting stressful.

Ive just had my well being call with the midwife and my HV. I was nervous about it but I'm so glad I was honest now about the past and things. They were honestly lovely and I wasn't judged. Obviously circumstances are completely different but I'm glad that if I do struggle with bonding or low mood etc I can trust them to help me.

@IshaPoet I hope you're well. I don't know where you are but local to me there is a service called team around the family where they come out and help with the kids and to get you on your feet, look and apply for eligible money and benefits etc. Do you have anything like this you could speak to midwife about. X

@dixiedo wow what a clear scan! Looks amazing!

I'm glad you were open about everything. Mental health is one of the top priorities these days so never feel alone!

OP posts:
dixiedo · 17/08/2020 12:00

@BabyG123 thank you.
So am I. I do think my issues were circumstantial I was only 17/18 when I had DS1 and I was alone completely, lived in the middle of no where no friends isolated myself from family. It was really hard, I didn't really bond and it's a blur to be honest. then DS2 I was 21 so still very young relationship was shockingly bad then he was so poorly as a baby (cancer) it was so much to deal with in such a short space of time.
The last 5+ years I've become a completely different person. I'm happy and secure in myself and have good relationships, especially with my boys. I genuinely feel like this is my first child. It's a bit like PTSD I can't remember much of those years they are a blur to me.
We're all very happy and baby will be (hopefully) icing on the cake and complete us all. I'm so glad I've got the big age gap too as I am certain I'll be a much better mother this time around and it will go unnoticed to the children. My partner is amazing to us all I'm so grateful. Oh gosh i'm getting emotional now.
I do worry about the not bonding issue though. With my first it took me until recently to really enjoy him, I love him loads but there was just something missing. I'm hoping that won't crop up this time as the guilt is what ate me up. X

BabyG123 · 17/08/2020 20:47

@dixiedo oh wow what a mad time you had. No wonder you blocked it out.

This is a fresh start for you all. The kids are old enough to help and join in too.
You'll be fine, I just know it!

Hi @Bubbabee thank you for asking, I’m doing well had no more bleeding thank god. Just can’t wait until I can’t feel proper movements so I can feel reassured. Hope you are doing well xx

Lollipop93 · 17/08/2020 20:50

PercyThrower · 17/08/2020 21:24

Hey everyone. Just going to wave a hello and join you if that's okay. I'm due at the end of Jan, it's our second, and I'm just as bad at pregnancy this time as I was last time so can safely say this will be our last 😁
