@Pol96 If it helps, the movement I’ve felt is definitely far enough below my belly button that I knew it wouldn’t be gas bubbles, but it is a similar feeling at times! Just unmistakable because you feel it in your pelvis 😂

BabyG123 · 08/08/2020 22:02

This with new year day due dates feels
Mad you could have a baby this year!!!!

Some Movement here too but it's no 2!

Just a question on sleeping. I heard sleeping on your back is bad so I'm trying to sleep on my side. I even bought a special pillow to help but I almost always wake up on my back because that's always been how I sleep.

T2020 · 09/08/2020 07:38

@MeganC104 I'm having the same problem, I've got a pregnancy pillow which I'll go to sleep with but then wake up and I'm on my back. I don't know what to do about it. I've been having really bad back/hip pain too and my midwife just told me to take pain killers which I'm not so keen on doing.

I had my private scan on Friday and we are having a baby boy 🙂 I'm so excited now, I'm 16+4... is it best to wait until after 20 weeks to start buying stuff?

@TerribleImagination thanks! Whatever I'm feeling has been well below my belly button.. Looking forward to definite kicks!

kim160790 · 09/08/2020 13:28

So after 3 boys I'm finally having my little girl!! Still in shock and don't believe it thinking a willy will magically appear at my 20 week scan 😂 so so happy but totally unexpected ❤️❤️

Carabu1 · 09/08/2020 15:02

I’m 19+5 today - finally have the tiniest bump, but can’t feel any movement yet. Apparently I have an anterior placenta so I’ve been told could easily be 2-3 more weeks at least. I have (hopefully) my last cervix scan tomorrow and then 20 week scan week after when I’ll be 21 weeks exactly. Really hope it all looks ok and I can go off our little uk break reassured!

I’ve had the same issue with back sleeping - I’m just doing my best and using the pregnancy pillow. Not sure what else I can do really?! Anyone have any bright ideas?

dixiedo · 10/08/2020 00:13

How exciting that the groups finding out the sex and feeling baby move !!
🥳
@BabyG123 yes I'm secretly hoping I go this year. What a crazy year to be born. I delivered 39 weeks exact with my other two. That means Xmas day though ... xx

Pinkpaintlover · 11/08/2020 22:00

@dixiedo how funny I’m def hoping to make it to 2021. Baby due 6th and opting for a csection.

We are having a surprise after finding out last time. 20 week scan tomorrow at exactly 19 weeks and can’t wait to see little one again. Feel like it’s another major hurdle.

OhSoCherished · 12/08/2020 04:35

Hello everyone! Insomnia post here! I've been scrolling to catch up, hope you are all well.

@IshaPoet I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. Honestly praying for things to turn around for you.

I'm 19+2 today. First pregnancy. Had a private scan at 17+4 since DH will most likely miss 20 week anomaly scan. It was his first time seeing baby, poor guy nearly cried (so emotional). It's a boy and we are over the moon!

I started feeling movement around 16 weeks. Now it's much stronger and baby is rolling around in there, which feels pleasantly strange. DH can feel it too now.

So far, back and hip pain have been awful. Friend got be a yoga ball which I've been using and it's doing the trick.

As for back sleeping, I was so paranoid about it early on, but my body knows when to turn or wake me up, so I don't freak out when I wake up on my back anymore. I've ditched the pregnancy pillow, wasn't working well for me.

Still getting occasional nausea... tonic water and lemons or lemonade have been working so well.

Sorry for the storybook post!

IshaPoet · 12/08/2020 11:27

@OhSoCherished thank you babe. I've just been trying to keep myself busy with the kids and the pregnancy. Ordered myself a harmony bola necklace someone had mentioned to cheer myself up since I don't expect anything for ex. His been making things hard for me but I've just been keeping my distance and only communicating when it's about the kids or if I have ana appointment. I know he won't show up so I've got my sister and mum coming down to watch twins so I can go for my next scan which will be next Thursday and I'll be exactly 17 weeks on the day. I'm 15+6 today I've been feeling flittering and movement a few aches and the occasional cramping feeling I think that's bcos I'm lifting the girls in and out of bed everyday for nap time and bedtime so that's not really a surprise.

Hope you all are ok- the weather is beautiful but the heat is just something else when you feel like a small oven is already on inside you ❤️💙💜

dixiedo · 13/08/2020 10:06

@Pinkpaintlover how did your scan go?

@IshaPoet glad you're getting help from your sister and yes to treating yourself !!!! Xxx

dixiedo · 13/08/2020 10:09

@OhSoCherished I have hip pain too my left one more so it's bloody hard work getting up the stairs if I've been on my feet all day.

Does anyone else have ridiculous pain in the morning? Every morning my upper back around my ribcage is burning and I can't take a full breath in!
It's awful! After being up and stretching out it's not too bad but it's getting really painful. Do you think it's something I need help with ?

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow at 20 weeks exactly. I'm a bit nervous x

MeganC104 · 13/08/2020 15:10

Is anyone else's hospital still not allowing partners to attend scans? Mine still isn't

Maxdoggy · 13/08/2020 16:30

@MeganC104 Mine isn’t either (Kings, London). Got 20 week scan on Tuesday and DH has yet to see the baby! I’ve found a place fairly close by that will do a private scan for 24-34 weeks, however, so going to book that if all goes well on Tuesday.

19+6

BabyG123 · 13/08/2020 20:13

I have a 'gender reveal' planned for next Saturday.

Private scan booked the Thursday but we aren't finding out then but waiting until we are with everyone with a balloon/cannon that's the private place provide!

So exciting.

Anyone else doing this?

OP posts:
Pol96 · 13/08/2020 20:16

@BabyG123 were undecided about a reveal but were also finding out next Saturday at a private scan (22nd) I can't wait! But also starting to get nervous that everything is okay 😅

BabyG123 · 13/08/2020 20:39

We did a reveal last time but knew it was a boy and messed up before revealing hahaha. That's why we've made this choice!

I'm sure everything is fine

OP posts:
dixiedo · 13/08/2020 22:49

@BabyG123 that sounds lovely ! Please post pictures.

I don't think we're gonna find out. I don't really know why and I'm not sure what I'm doing but still quite set on not knowing

My scan is tomorrow and DP is allowed to come x

Baba11 · 14/08/2020 09:14

@dixiedo I can relate to your pain in the mornings
Sleeping is becoming difficult I can't get comfy and always wake up at some point on my bck. I get really scared I'm going to hurt the baby

Maxdoggy · 14/08/2020 09:21

Sorry ladies, anxious post from me...

Woke up this morning and noticed some spotting. Very very light. Now very worried. Can’t get through to midwife, even on emergency number so not sure what to do.

It’s my first pregnancy and I’m 20 weeks today. Scan is on Tuesday.

Should I wait until scan to get checked out??

CoalCraft · 14/08/2020 09:22

Scan next week, so excited and nervous. Midwife has said that partners can come, so crossing everything that dh will be with me, but I've heard from others at the same hospital that they've had to come alone, so guess I will have to ring ahead. Eager to know the sex; am tired of calling it "it"! And family all very excited to know too.

Getting a lot of movement now I'm the evenings, readily visible through the skin sometimes. Pretty alien! Am also a bit sore in the mornings, think it's the ligaments grumbling at having to start holding everything up again.

19+1 today.

CoalCraft · 14/08/2020 09:23

@Maxdoggy don't wait. If you can't get through to your midwife, ring your antenatal unit directly. They may tell you not to worry but better to be safe than sorry.

CoalCraft · 14/08/2020 09:24

How's everyone's bumps looking? Mine can be anywhere from invisible to quite obvious depending on what I'm wearing

dixiedo · 14/08/2020 09:43

@Maxdoggy I would ring now. In the front my notes there are numbers I would go straight to the ward I think.
Sure you're okay don't worry. It is so common but better to be safe than sorry.
Have you been DTD? sorry if TMI xxx
Hope you're oky and report back Daffodil
