@BabyG123 yes well done. Hope you get a good sleep x

Pol96 · 11/07/2020 23:06

@mummasoph I'm definitely going to have to go out or something.. The wait will drive me crazy! Aww a family day out with your 9month old sounds like a great way to distract yourself!
I'm also going to book a private gender scan for in between nhs scans too.. X

Skyla01 · 12/07/2020 08:02

@Lollipop93 I am a very keen runner but haven't don't much recently. From about 6/7 weeks I started feeling awful. I didn't want my legs to forget how to run though so I tried to do a 20min jog once each week. Felt pretty rubbish doing it, it's amazing how much my body has slowed down! I'm 12+4 now and feeling much better although still not much energy. I'm now running twice a week for about 35min each time. I listen to my body, don't set a target for the run, and take a jumper in case I decide to walk. It's really nice to be out. I sometimes get a bit of groin or pelvic pain, or need to pee. I'm hoping to keep building up again but only if my body feels ok.

I can understand you'll be nervous but I would give it a go. Maybe start with a mixture of walking and jogging and see how you go. It'll feel hard at first but I want to try and build up my fitness a bit now to help with 3rd trimester and birth. So whilst I'm not doing any hard runs I'm ok with getting a bit out of breath. Yoga has definitely helped too with my stiff muscles not used to exercising!

Lollipop93 · 12/07/2020 11:25

@Skyla01 hey hun! Good on you for keeping up a good routine!! I think I’m defo going to give it a go in the next couple of weeks and just take it really slow and yeah maybe just walk parts too. I defo want to keep my fitness up with this pregnancy coz I didn’t with my last one and had a pretty horrific birth etc and then after I had baby i had a lot of weight to lose. So it’s almost like giving myself a head start now. I will keep you updated with my progress haha!

Skyla01 · 12/07/2020 12:43

@Lollipop93 yes let me know how you get on! It might feel really rough at first- running always is after a break- so take it easy. But if you manage to keep it up you'll feel better soon. I'm hoping my tiredness continues to go away, would love to be able to run 3 or 4 times a week until the end of the summer. But we'll see!

kim160790 · 12/07/2020 21:14

12+5 today and think my tiredness is starting to go a little more. Managed to clean/tidy my house today while my partner went out with the kids. Sounds silly but feeling quite chuffed with myself as up until last week I found it so hard to do anything other than go to work (struggle) then come home and feel like I had a 24/7 hangover 😫 xx

BabyG123 · 13/07/2020 07:41

Seriously struggling with nausea at the moment. Think I'll have out the whole pregnancy at this rate 13+4

@BabyG123 aww babe have you tried ginger biscuits it helped me for a few days. My symptoms have completely vanished 😟 not a single one now no sore boobs or anything. Just hoping everything is going well honestly I just want one symptoms so I don't feel panic 🥺😔

mummasoph · 13/07/2020 08:16

@IshaPoet try not to worry about having no symptoms I had my little girl last year and honestly through the entire pregnancy I had no symptoms whatsoever so it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong maybe you're just coping well with the pregnancy and one of the lucky ones who escapes most of the symptoms.

@pol96 had a lovely day out. Raining heavily here today and partner has gone to work so think today will go super slow! Just want it to be Wednesday now 😩

IshaPoet · 13/07/2020 08:18

@mummasoph I hope so just feeling anxious due to all the stress I've been through the past 2 weeks from family and stuff that I'm overthinking it. Had some brown spotting for the last few days and my next appointment is on the 22nd. Not far but still not close either 🥺

Skyla01 · 13/07/2020 09:07

@kim160790 same here, I'm managing to do a little more each day. Last week I even did some yoga after work which made a nice change from my usual not moving from the sofa. I hope it continues- were going on holiday in 2 weeks so would be fab if I could be more active for that. I'm also 12+5.

@BabyG123 sorry you feel rubbish :( I know it isn't much help now but there is a good chance you'll be much better in another 2 or 3 weeks, if not sooner.

mummasoph · 13/07/2020 09:10

@ishapoet I did read through that, I'm so sorry for what you've been going through it sounds awful I've had some similar experiences to you if I'm being honest it's tough but good on you for standing your ground and speaking up. I am the worst worrier or stress head and I do feel it takes a toll on your body especially during pregnancy because of all the hormones too. I had a really bad day on Friday and realised I've probably been suffering with anxiety for some time now and it's just getting worse I opened up to my partner and my sister and found out what my triggers are and I've just tried to avoid those triggers and take some time to enjoy myself (it's been a long time) and it's made me feel so much better, I hope you can find something that allows you to enjoy yourself and take some time for just you relax and recharge and hopefully your body will respond to that and you'll be absolutely fine. Thinking of you and sending lots of love, try and stay positive, manifest that everything will be fine and it will be. Xx

IshaPoet · 13/07/2020 09:12

@mummasoph thank you for the kind words. I've just been laying her since 6 since my oldest twin woke me and oh up but his and her have gone back to sleep and I'm just laying here like 😢😔 exhausted honestly. Trying to watch stuff to keep my mind off. 💙❤️💜

BabyG123 · 13/07/2020 09:18

@IshaPoet I was the same as you with my son. This has taken my by shock!!!

@ishapoet Bless you try get a nap in later when your oh is up and recharge 💜

Just rang my hospital and even though it's a covid free hospital they're still not allowing anyone in the scan with you, was kind of hoping the rules would have changed by the time my scan came around feeling really sad about it but I know so many of you have had to go to your scans alone too

IshaPoet · 13/07/2020 11:29

@mummasoph it's the same for me I can't have anyone with me. My issue is once I'm awake I'm up and I can't sleep. I just wish I could sleep in for a little bit even if it was an extra hour or so I'm feeling like I'm getting a migraine 😔

mummasoph · 13/07/2020 11:35

I'm the same, I've been up since 6 with my little one and my partner was rained off from work so went for a nap and my little one went down for one too but I just can't sleep I can't switch off but then I'm grumpy and tired all day 😂😩 it's a nightmare!

IshaPoet · 13/07/2020 12:27

Yeah and my mood progressively gets worse because little things start to trigger me and then oh will look at me like what's wrong😕😐🙄😶 we can't we be like seahorses and let them carry the babies at least let them do the labour and delivery so we can rest you know.

lydiangel83 · 13/07/2020 14:28

@Lollipop93 and other runners - good to hear you are still going. I am 12+4 and still feel so sick. Have been doing one 5km a week just for mental effects really, figured baby still small and well protected, but have felt so sick and really struggled. I am super slow but don't mind that, am more bothered about the huge weight gain (3kg in 2 wks!) due to nausea. I am likely to need planned Caesarian so want to be in decent shape pre-birth but can't see that I will be able to keep running much longer. I might do some run walking next week and also trying to do Pilates 2 times per week at home.

lydiangel83 · 13/07/2020 14:29

@BabyG123 feel your nausea and pain - it's so tough to constantly feel so awful. This is definitely worse for me than first pregnancy!

@Babyboom1990 would you of been due on your period if you weren't pregnant? That could be reason for spotting x

@Babyboom1990 I can understand why you are so anxious. Spotting in pregnancy is quite common so it's likely nothing to be worried about but I would phone your midwife this morning to check.

IshaPoet · 14/07/2020 09:00

@Babyboom1990 I have the same thing going on and my midwife said it's normal. I had a pocket of blood behind Cocobean so they said not to worry if I see it, as long as your cervix is closed you should be completely fine. I know and understand the worry I wear a little pad so I don't panic when I see it on my undies but I know that the worry really never goes away until you have seen little one on the scan bouncing around. ❤️💙💜
