Nearing the end of bus 3 so here is bus 4!

11+5 feeling rougher than ever but excited what's to come

Scan tomorrow, feeling so anxious not sure why just these last 2 days I've been so nervous can't stop thinking about it. Woke up at 5am this morning just thinking of all different possible outcomes, know I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight 😩

@Babyboom1990 it does look normal. But I know it can be worrying. Maybe give your midwife a ring. X

Is anybody else experiencing back pain? Today I've just started getting a shooting pain to bottom of back. I'm struggling to sit up

@mummasoph we can keep each other company tonight! I'm not going to be able to sleep either. They called me this morning and confirmed my oh can come to the scan but needs to leave straight after, so am very glad he can come with me. I'm so scared of something being wrong and really don't know how to stop/reduce the worrying.

@mummasoph I'm the same as you. I have a scan in the morning and I'm so worried. At this stage I had my MMC with my twins so I think that is making me more anxious. Hope all goes well for you x

@pol96 keeping each other company sounds good 😌 that's so good he can come with you, mine called and asked if I had any covid symptoms and told me they still aren't allowing partners to come with you which is so disappointing especially as it's a covid free hospital and some are allowing partners and some aren't just think it should be the same rule for all. I'm 12 weeks today by lmp xx

@bubbabee yeah that's what I'm worried about, I've had a miscarriage before but not a missed one but my friend did a couple months ago and I'm just so anxious I'm gonna have the same outcome, there's no logic to it or any reason why I just think you panic don't you. Hope your scan goes well too I guess we'll all be posting our scan pics tomorrow testing out the nub theory 😂 xx

Good luck for the scans. It will be such a releif once they've checked everything is ok and in place.
I'm 13+4 - are people still taking preg vitamins? I had to take a higher dose of folic acid and already take vit D & calcium. Dr only prescribed folic for first three months. I didn't take a general vit because I was already taking these two. Now I'm still on d& calcium, but not taking anything else. Anyone else not taking anything?

Random one- what figures did you get for you Down's syndrome and Edwards/pataus test?

Like where do they get those figures from very specific.

@BabyG123 Mine were 1 in 1800 for downs and 1 in 100,000 for Edwards and patau.

@Carabu1 hey how did your appointment go to have your cervix measured? Since you mentioned you pushed for it earlier I have been worrying myself. Got a call with midwife next week so going to mention it then xx

@MayBug2020 - oh no, I didn't mean to cause you worry! It's probably just me being paranoid - like I say, the hospital were happy with 18 weeks. It was OK, thank you - measuring 3.5cm, which sounds short to me, but apparently isn't a worry; they going to scan again in 2 weeks to check it hasn't changed. The main bonus is getting a sneaky look at baby while you're at it!

@mummasoph it's really sad that not everywhere is allowing partners. I hope it's okay on your own x

@MarvEll thank you, and I take pregnacare and a vegan omega 3 supplement.. I think I'll probably continue taking throughout x

Good luck for all those with scans tomorrow. I had mine a week ago and I was so nervous before but everything was fine. Try and get a good sleep tonight!

@MarvEll I still have some pregnacare left over so taking that just now. After that my midwife told me to take folic acid, vit D and vit C throughout. I'm in Scotland though so got given the vits for free.

@MarvEll I took pregnacare plus and the extra folic acid my whole pregnancy last time and into breastfeeding so was planning on doing the same again.

@pol96 thanks hope yours goes ok too! got my fingers crossed for everyone having their scans today! Just got up and have 2 hours 10 mins till mine 😂 got my little one to keep me busy until then though! X

@BabyG123 I got 1/2500 for Downs Syndrome, 1/50,000 for Edwards and 1/15,000 for Pataus. I think they put all the data (NT measurement, bloods, you age, weight, medical history etc) into a computer and it just spits out those numbers using some kind of algorithm.

Good luck to those with scans today! The odds are vastly in your favour. And once it's done you can relax start to enjoy the hallowed second trimester!

I'm already impatient for my next one, though it's over a month away yet 🙈 14+6 today and feeling good physically, just wish time would move a bit quicker!

Is it if its a round skull it's a girl if the skull is more angular it's a boy??

@pol96 Aww bless you try get out for a couple of hours to pass the time quicker! Yeah I think that's right, also the nub if it's pointing upwards it's a boy if it's straight out it's a girl I think. X

I bet you feel so relieved now! Did they tell you the nt measurement there and then?
