Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@DanceM1 I agree; the wait Is really slow at the mo 😫 and ooo maybe they'll tell me then! 🤷🏻‍♀️ hopefully anyway 🤣

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 17:05

@Bubblybon20 I've not had my bloods yet but last pregnancy they said I'd get a call within 2-3 days if there was anything flagged, if not I'd get a letter in 2-3 weeks just to let me know they're all clear.

Thanks @DanceM1, it's been a hell of a day. Glad it didn't get worse than it felt at one point though, I really don't think I could have faced all of that again. I'm exhausted, going to finish up my work then have a nap I think! Husband has put me on a strict rest schedule as he read after a bleed you should take it easy, bless him. Am not complaining! Hope you're ok after a rough day? I too am desperate for us all to just get past that 12 week mark safely - won't be too long until the first of us get there and the rest of us will be right on their tails.

Doctor today was alarmed that I hadn't yet had a scan as she said they are doing dating scans at 8 weeks at the moment?! 🧐 Sonographer, however, was very much like 'you'll get another scan between 11 and 14 weeks' so she didn't seem to think anything had changed and 8 weeks seems VERY early for a dating scan. Inclined to think the sonographer would be correct in this scenario but it just threw me when the doctor said it, like she was properly shocked I hadn't already had one!

Hi @bubblybon20 thanks for checking in 😊 I'm ok. I've just been looking after my toddler alone this week as my partner is away and I have been feeling awful. I'm also so depressed with how much weight I am piling on 😩 but food is the only thing that helps ...

Sorry I've not had a chance to catch up on everyone's news yet. I'll have a read once DD goes to bed.

I have a private scan on Sunday and I'm pretty worried about it. 🤞 I should be 9+6 by then,

Hope you are all ok? Xxxx

@Smilingdonkey glad you're okay! I've also gained a fair bit, when I was at my midwife appointment, I said it's from lockdown 🤣 but I also just keep eating too 🐷!
Ah that'll be nice!! 😀😀 I'm sure it'll be fine 🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

DanceM1 · 07/08/2020 19:41

@Smilingdonkey I also have a private scan on sunday and will be 9+6 too.... lets hope for the best for us!!

@SkyBlue20 I'm not surprised you're exhausted!! Definitely make the most of your husband's rest schedule.. you need it and deserve a break. I'm fine thank you... its just hard not to let your mind and worry go into overdrive isn't it! I've just spent a while reading loads of old MN posts about people being ridiculously bloated at this stage in pregnancy so I'm feeling a little more reassured that it's normal (even though I already knew really!). That's really strange what the doctor said about scans at 8 weeks.. why would that be?! I would trust the sonographer too!

@bubblybon20 the wait is toooo long! I'm sure they will tell you if there is anything to worry about with your bloods so don't worry.

Workingmama1 · 07/08/2020 20:39

@skyblue20 was it the a&e doctor who said scans at 8 weeks? I've never heard of that as standard in the UK!

@smilingdonkey I can imagine looking after a toddler all week is exhusting, mime is back at bursery now and she still knackers me out!

One of my friends has just told me she is 12 weeks pregnant, she doesnt know I am yet. It was odd as my first thought (after being happy for her) was I really hope this one sticks for me as it will be hard seeing her go though everything a few weeks ahead of me if it doesn't. She is also my bootcamp instructor so I'll be seeing her every week!

Totally agree with those of you saying the wait is a long one, I wish I could fast forward to 12 weeks (then 20, then baby being here!) so I didn't have to worry and be anxious!

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 21:04

Exciting about the Sunday scans, ladies! Would love to see them if you’re happy to share as I have one at 9+6/10 the following Sunday so would be nice to see what I could see!

@DanceM1 The sonographer said to me that I was really bloated and had lots of gas and that it’s due to the progesterone, so don’t worry at all, it’s totally normal.

@Workingmama1 It was the EPU doctor! Tbh she didn’t speak the best English so perhaps she meant something else but I repeated it and she confirmed what she’d said 🤷🏻‍♀️ Made it sound like it’s a covid thing but, as well you all know, I’m past 8 weeks and haven’t even heard from the hospital yet so doesn’t seem to be the system with me 🤷🏻‍♀️
How lovely about your friend! I’m sure bubba will stick around and you can go through it all together 💕

My cousin has just outrightly asked what husband and I are thinking about trying again and when we think we will etc... it’s via text so just haven’t replied for now. We told her early last time but I didn’t really want to (was semi forced in to it by my mum) and I don’t want to now so am just going to have to full on lie, I think 🤷🏻‍♀️

ew1990 · 07/08/2020 21:07

I've just stood up and felt really wet. Went to the toilet and it was blood. Quite a bit. Like a browny pink but really watery. I can't do anything about it at this time. I hate this. 9+1 today and this is when baby heart stopped last time

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 21:14

Oh @ew1990, sending love, it’s so difficult. Hopefully it’s not a bad sign and it’s just that one little bit and you can call the midwife/EPU in the morning and get checked over. Sending strength xxx

bubblybon20 · 07/08/2020 21:15

@ew1990 oh no! Like @SkyBlue20 said, hopefully all is okay, doesn't stop you worrying though! Sending lots of hugs! 💕

Workingmama1 · 07/08/2020 21:58

@ew1990 oh, sending love and positivity. It's good that its not bright red. Hopefully EPU will be able to advise in the morning x

DanceM1 · 07/08/2020 22:14

@ew1990 i really hope you're ok. I know you must be beside yourself with worry but you had a good scan yesterday and this could be something completely innocent. I hope you manage to speak to your EPU tomorrow... are they open at weekends?

DanceM1 · 07/08/2020 22:17

@SkyBlue20 thank you! Ive read a few times about it being because of progesterone so I hope that is all it is.
I hate it when people ask questions like when are you going to start trying. I'm sure your cousin is innocently asking but I think it puts pressure on. Just tell her when you are ready!

ew1990 · 07/08/2020 22:24

@dancem1 that's what I'm Thinking. That everything was ok yesterdAy.
I had this with DD around this time. They said Then that it could be a number of Things. One of them being that the placenta had attached. I just Think you forget all this in the panic of the moment. I was close to tears but feel ok now.

Yeah they open at half 7 on a Saturday so I'll just give them a ring when I'm up and awake. Worrying is not going to help.

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 22:48

@ew1990 Sounds like you have your rational head on, which is good - hopefully it is just the placenta attaching or similar. Glad you’re feeling a bit better now and have a plan to get it checked out tomorrow. Thinking of you xx

@DanceM1 Yes, she’s totally being nice and is asking in more of a ‘how’re you both coping’ type of way so I don’t mind, it’s just awkward to reply to as I don’t want to lie but I don’t want to tell her just yet. Might have to be a vague ‘we’re just seeing how it goes and hoping for the best’ type answer which isn’t a lie...it’s just not the truth as she’d understand it.

DanceM1 · 07/08/2020 23:11

@ew1990 aww well there you go.. thats really positive, it could be just the same as with your DD. Glad your EPU is open too... ours isn't open at the weekend!

@SkyBlue20 that sounds like a good response. I've said similar to a few people that have asked. Its a tricky one isn't it!

Smilingdonkey · 07/08/2020 23:17

@ew1990 keep positive. These things happen for all sorts of reasons xxxx

SmileyT · 08/08/2020 07:21

@SkyBlue20 so glad everything was okay yesterday ☺️ so amazing they could see you same day aswell x

Good luck for scans tomorrow @Smilingdonkey @DanceM1 ❤️

@ew1990 hope you are still feeling positive this morning and get to speak to EPU today who can put your mind at ease x

SkyBlue20 · 08/08/2020 09:16

Morning!

@ew1990 Hope you’re doing ok this morning and can speak to the EPU xx

Have a lovely sunny weekend, everyone, hope you have some nice plans!

ew1990 · 08/08/2020 09:32

Morning everyone. Yes I've spoke to the EPU. They've booked me in for Wednesday. Said if it gets heavy or I'm in pain to go up to a and e.

Feeling better this morning. Thanks for all your messages x

bubblybon20 · 08/08/2020 10:51

@ew1990 glad you're feeling slightly better this morning, and you've managed to get an appointment for Wednesday x

Workingmama1 · 08/08/2020 17:54

@ew1990 glad that they are seeing you on Wednesday. I hope the wait until then isn't to painful.

ew1990 · 08/08/2020 17:57

I'm feeling ok about it today. Even though I've got back ache which feels like a period ache I'm trying to keep my positive head on. I felt horrendous all day untill I was sick at around 4ish and felt better then.

Hope everyone else is Ok?

Does anyone actually not feel pregnant. Like even though I've seen baby it still doesn't feel like there's one inside me. I felt like this with DD. Even when she kicked and rolled it wasn't untill they took me down to be induced I had this panic like "shit I'm going to have a baby!"

DanceM1 · 08/08/2020 18:19

@smileyT thank you! I'm so so nervous, I can't stop over analysing everything.

@ew1990 I'm so glad you are feeling more positive this morning. Have you had any more bleeding since last night?

DanceM1 · 08/08/2020 18:22

@ew1990 I forgot to say I don't feel pregnant either but I've tried to make myself feel that way really in case it goes wrong! I think if this pregnancy was to be successful I would have a sudden panic when going into labour that I wasn't mentally prepared 😂
