Hi, starting this thread -very tentitively- as a graduation from the TTC after MMC group. A couple of us have begun to get BFPs and I would like a space to go though this with people who get why I'm so anxious - especially in the first trimester! Some of the other threads are so big and rather gung ho and I want to tread a bit gently right now!
I am only 4 weeks but have been getting progressively darker tests since 7-8dpo.
I'm becoming more certain this is not a chemical but I am being so cautious! Definitely too scared to work out a EDD yet!

@ew1990 I'm honestly the least flexible person in the world so have just been doing beginners pregnancy yoga which is basically just stretching to very calming music for 15minutes 😂 and yes I'm all good, standardly impatient for my next scan but actually told my first person (apart from MN and OH) last night so it feels a tad more real 😬

ew1990 · 06/08/2020 21:13

@smileyt I told my mum straight away. She said last time she hopes I dont not tell her if I get pregnant again. And I told my brothers today.

I've had to tell a few people at work so they dont think I'm skiving or not pulling my weight. But their people I'd tell if i had a miscarriage again. They were all brilliant last time.

I was going to say I might try it but I don't actually know where I'd find the time. I'd prob fall asleep doing it 😂

@Sakura54 I think lots of discharge is normal and a healthy sign that your body is protecting against any infections? Between that and the progesterone pessaries I feel like there’s constantly something coming out (sorry!! 😳)

I woke up at 5am this morning feeling worried and decided to do another test (I know I just said the other day to @workingmama1 to stop testing! 🙈) luckily the line was stronger than before but I don’t know when this anxiety will stop! It’s quite exhausting! Planning to tell my mum today, I think. I didn’t want to because she was so upset at the MMC but I think she would want to know.

Happy Friday everyone! Hope you’ve all got some nice plans for the weekend ahead? It’s supposed to be a scorcher!

I just went to the toilet and had a bit of blood when I wiped. This happened last time - a one off tiny bleed (at around 5 weeks then, I’m 8+5 now) and we all know how that ended. Coupled with the fact that I feel a lot better today (although not perfect), I’m terrified.

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 10:04

Rang the midwife who was less than useless, said it could be an implantation bleed. When I asked if it wasn’t too late for that, she said no. NHS website clearly shows that it is. Anyway, she said to go to A&E so off I go. Seems a bit extreme but hopefully they’ll scan and I’ll get an answer either way. That said, I’m not sure a positive scan would reassure me really as I had the bleed at 5 weeks last time and saw a HB at 7 weeks then had the bad news at 12... urgh, this is all so awful.

bubblybon20 · 07/08/2020 10:14

@SkyBlue20 really thinking of you, I really hope it's not what you think it is! But please keep us updated. Sending lots of hugs 💖

Workingmama1 · 07/08/2020 10:28

Oh @SkyBlue20 I completely understand how that must be scary. At Bolton you can ring the EPU directly so you could try that? I did that last time and they offered me a scan the same day. I really hope it's nothing, and a small amount of blood could be for lots of reasons (and lots of those not something to be concerned about). I'll be thinking of you and sending love ❤ x

Poppy10121 · 07/08/2020 10:55

Oh @SkyBlue20 I hope it's nothing! I think first trimester bleeding can be quite common and my mother-in-law told me she had some from 8-10 weeks and had a completely healthy baby. But good to get it checked out, hope you are not waiting too long and that they give you good news

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 11:02

Thanks everyone.

@Workingmama1 that’s good to know - I’m at A&E now but will try them if no luck here. Imagine they’ll just send me there anyway. Do you have the number for them per chance? I only have the number for M1 (which, helpfully, is at home...) as that’s where they were when I was going through my MVA, rather than M4.

@Poppy10121 That’s really reassuring, thank you!

Will let you know how it goes, hopefully it won’t take too long 🤞🏼 Cross your fingers for little bean 🤞🏼

JennyMY · 07/08/2020 11:13

@SkyBlue20 Thinking of you and really hope all goes well and your little one is ok in there. Xx

You're right they may well send you there anyway as I don't think they have the right scanners in a&e. I hope you get seen quickly and have positive news, I have everything crossed for you xxx

Thank you 💕 Have been triaged, nurse said they’re going to try and get me up to the EPU (I can actually hear her calling them now). So horribly nervous.

Riggles78 · 07/08/2020 12:10

Fingers crossed for you @SkyBlue20 💕💕💕

@Sakura54 I keep getting that same kind of discharge on and off too. As long as it doesn't smell bad or cause any itching etc then it's all normal, but ask your midwife if you're worried!

@ew1990 We told our parents after our 8+5 week scan and siblings after the 10+6. Like you've said I think my mum would want to know if something happened again. I've got a socially distanced park gathering with my friends from work next Wednesday and I can't decide whether or not to tell them all or to wait until my next scan at 13w. A couple of them already know, I work in a lab so had to share for health & safety reasons and they were all really lovely after my MMC.

ew1990 · 07/08/2020 12:54

@skyblue20 hope they scan you and everythings ok. ❤

@riggles it's hard isn't it. I had to tell MIL and SIL last week as we went for a bbq and I couldn't drink. They are excited.

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 13:12

Everything is ok! Baby had a strong heartbeat and is measuring 8+4 (I thought I was about 8+5). I’m so relieved! No obvious reason for the bleeding so just told to keep an eye on it and call if it gets heavy. Not out of the woods yet but a definite relief! 😅 Thanks for all of the well wishes everybody 🥰 (picture isn’t that clear as I had a lot of gas apparently 🙈)

@SkyBlue20 Oh that’s such good news! Lovely scan pic 🥰🥰🥰

Riggles78 · 07/08/2020 13:21

@ew1990 That’s why we ended up telling ours too, family gatherings and it would definitely be noticed if I wasn’t drinking! In fact, OHs siblings were apparently both asking OHs parents if they noticed if I was drinking or not when we were over and they lied to them on our behalf so I’m glad we did tell them if only to stop the rumour mill!

Workingmama1 · 07/08/2020 13:22

Yay @SkyBlue20 I'm so relieved for you! I feel like I can relax for the day knowing your and baby skyblue are ok, I kept thinking about you and hoping all was well 😊

Poppy10121 · 07/08/2020 13:29

@SkyBlue20 so happy for you! And you got a lovely glimpse of baby skyblue too 😊 hope you can relax into the weekend now!

bubblybon20 · 07/08/2020 13:35

@SkyBlue20 so glad all is okay! And you've got a picture!!! 🤩🤩

ew1990 · 07/08/2020 13:43

@skyblue20 such good news! Glad they seen you quickly.

I remember when I first had a scan with DD and they had to do internal because I was gassy and my bowel was blocking the view 😂

SkyBlue20 · 07/08/2020 14:26

Thanks everyone, so relieved. Still a bit worried but have my private scan booked in for next weekend so got that to aim for then it shouldn’t be too long until my dating scan. Absolutely exhausted now after that rollercoaster of a day but need to have some lunch and do some work then it’s weekend o’clock. Going to work from the garden I think, enjoy this sunshine! Between the and the stress of today, I’ve never wanted a glass of wine more!

bubblybon20 · 07/08/2020 16:00

Anyone had their blood results shortly after them? I had my bloods taken yesterday, and as i recently got diagnosed with coeliac disease, I've suffered a lot with really low iron. But after the blood tests she said I won't know the results until my 16 week phone appointment. Just worried that if I still have low iron, do you think they would tell me before then? 😖

bubblybon20 · 07/08/2020 16:01

@Smilingdonkey & @MrsTtobe how're you both doing? Noticed you've been quiet for a few days, hope you're both okay! X

DanceM1 · 07/08/2020 16:48

Ahhhh @SkyBlue20 what a stressful day. So lovely that you had a good scan though, that's brilliant! Ive had a very stressy day today- think I'm losing the plot! I just want us all to get through these 12 weeks and be OK 🙏🤞

@bubblybon20 I had my bloods today and she said ill get the results at my 12 week scan in 2 weeks. Surely they would contact you sooner if there was an issue!
