37 week appointment today and nothing new. Didn't get a pelvic exam this time so not sure how dilated I am (was 1.5cm a week ago) but I've had so many braxton hicks I feel like I must have made progress. No idea when baby boy's going to show up but I'm going crazy waiting. Is anybody completely sick of the wait? I have nothing to do but sit around hoping something will happen

Liverpool20 · 18/07/2020 07:56
@Liverpool20 hi lovely!!! I was allowed my partner in as I was being induced into labour so he was able to stay for the entirety but unfortunately from what I’ve heard, it’s still 4/5cm (established labour) for people not being induced.
It’s so strange and I don’t know how they can decide rules like that but sadly the same counts for postnatal ward aswell☹️
The care they gave me there was second to none absolutely amazing !! 💙💙
So glad that it was all good for you. They are always second to none aren’t they ❤️

I was doing some 3am reading on the website and the information has changed to say that one birth partner is now allowed to stay with you throughout labour and birth until transferred to postnatal ward.

The relief!!! I’ve read the site every day for weeks 😅😅

Your little boy is just simply stunning! Well done ❤️ Xx

My raspberry leaf tea finally has arrived how do you all drink it??? Really struggling not to puke whilst drinking it!

Oldestchild90s · 18/07/2020 12:57

@trinajade My midwife told me literally yesterday to buy the tablets as the tea is vile.. maybe try that instead?!

trinajade · 18/07/2020 13:01

@Oldestchild90s I think I'll have to the thought of another cup makes me want to cry haha!

Boomclaps · 18/07/2020 14:14

I’ve been looking for the tablets where do you find them?

sugarplumfairy2010 · 18/07/2020 14:23

I drink mine cold with lots of ice and added blackcurrant juice so can barely taste it x

Oldestchild90s · 18/07/2020 14:48

@Boomclaps Holland and Barrett i believe!

Boomclaps · 18/07/2020 15:06

Fab I’ll pop over today or tomorrow

Havlerr · 18/07/2020 17:29

@Boomclaps I got the tablets from H&B - they taste like mud to me but I got them as I knew I wouldn’t like the tea. They’re bearable if you have them just before dinner and quickly mask the taste with your food.

Bert2020 · 18/07/2020 17:32

I got the tablets from amazon @Havlerr you are polite, I think they taste rather worse than mud Grin I’ve taken to 1 at a time with copious water and punching my nose! It’ll be worth it though right?!

trinajade · 18/07/2020 17:49

I've ordered some tablets from amazon they'll be here tomorrow. Surely can't taste worse than the tea I can't stop thinking about the taste 🤢😂

NamiSwan · 19/07/2020 09:47

I also take the tablets as don't like the tea, but honestly find the tablets taste disgusting too! At least you can get it over and done with quickly though!

trinajade · 19/07/2020 10:53

Last night I managed to pull what I'm guessing is my groin it's so painful 😩 I've just been for a walk and it was awful I had tears in my eyes the whole time 😂
How is everyone else doing?

sel2223 · 19/07/2020 12:31

@trinajade bless you! You might find some pregnancy stretches online that could help? I'm constantly goigling yoga poses and stretches to relieve aches and pains, trapped wind etc

Newmama29 · 19/07/2020 12:35

@trinajade I find having a roll about on the birthing ball is amazing for pains in the groin/pelvis area

sezzywoowoo21 · 19/07/2020 13:10

Bert2020 · 20/07/2020 10:54

That’s wonderful @sezzywoowoo21

Newmama29 · 20/07/2020 11:39

So I got my tea from hotteamama.com & so far I’m impressed! I got greedy & ordered the ultimate box as I wanted to try them all. I’ve only tried the get up & glow one & it tastes amazing & definitely gives you a boost!

squashie34 · 20/07/2020 12:22

I second the hotteamama it tastes so much better than normal raspberry leaf tea as it has other bits in!

ml01omm · 20/07/2020 13:32

I've got one from Holland and Barrett - it comes with added apple juice to make it sweeter. I really want to drink it, but being a wimp in case it brings on labour too soon!

Goatsdorhone · 20/07/2020 15:29

Another vote for the hotteamama version - just tastes like a peppermint tea to me. Seems to send baby into a wriggling frenzy shortly after drinking though!

Murree · 20/07/2020 16:52

Another vote for the hot mama tea! Although for some reason drinking it today after a raspberry yoghurt made.it taste very earthy...
Not sure why Confused

Just realised today that I haven't been on for ages so taken an hour to catch up!
