Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

@Pea1984 yes to be fair we said we'd double check at the 20 week scan, as I know if it's a boy it's pretty certain but if they think girl there's still potential for it to change. Congratulations to you too!!

Bluejayway91 · 05/07/2020 11:03

Hey everyone,

I'm 16 + 2, due 18th December. Husband and I had a private scan on Friday and we've found out we're having a boy. We've only told MIL and a close friend.

We had loads of names for girls, but we're really struggling to find a name we both like for a boy. Anyone else having a similar issue, girl or boy.

Rnic1x · 05/07/2020 17:40

Hi girls gender scan yesterday and I'm having a little boy 💙 we are so over the moon and can't wait for our little Reuben to join our family, I've already spent over £200 on boy clothes - oops the addiction is too bad!💙💙💙

Hope everyone is doing ok xx

@Rnic1x ahh congratulations. Welcome to the blue club. Reuben is a beautiful name.

@Bluejayway91 welcome and congratulations. I am determined to get to 20 weeks before buying and thinking about names. It is taking a lot of will power!!

Rnic1x · 05/07/2020 17:47

@Rnic1x aww thank you, we've had it from day 1 I love it 💙💙💙

Aww congrats @Rnic1x that is a lovely name, good choice x

Yellowbeansontoast · 06/07/2020 07:20

Congrats on the gender scans @emmalily9 @Pea1984 and @Rnic1x!

How exciting for you all :) We won't be finding out as this will be the only thing my partner gets to find out first after having to miss out on literally everything else.
I love seeing all your pictures though, crazy how much they've all grown! Hope everyone is feeling good :)

Katbaby · 06/07/2020 09:35

Congrats on the gender scans girls how lovely that we are getting to these stages now!

We are also not going to find out the sex and keep it a surprise but seeing you all find out makes my resolve weaken! But I will stick to my guns and not find out!!

Anyones bump starting to show now? I look really bumpy on a night but can definitely hide it, I'm 15 weeks today so a week or 2 behind some of you!

ceebee21 · 06/07/2020 09:54

Gender scans look great - we find out on the 18th!

I am only 15+2 at the moment... time seems to be dragging!

Hope you are all feeling ok

x

SarH89 · 06/07/2020 10:07

It’s so lovely to see the gender scans! We are waiting till our 20 week scan on 11th August which seems ages away right now.

Is anyone else finding their nausea is taking a while to go? I’m 15+1 and it’s still lurking! Hoping the supposed ‘glowing’ phase will come along soon Smile

makingababy · 06/07/2020 10:21

@ceebee21 we find out on the 18th too - I want to know now though!

Congrats to all who’ve found out over the last few days! And good work to those keeping your resolve until the big day too! X

december2020 · 06/07/2020 10:56

Did anyone have a gut instinct on what the sex would be before finding out? Was it right?
And everyone still waiting for scans, so you currently have a gut instinct?

I'm currently thinking boy (based on nothing scientific).

Bluejayway91 · 06/07/2020 11:01

@december2020 my husband and I genuinely thought we were having a girl, but we were wrong. Not that it matters either way, but it was a surprise 😂

Pea1984 · 06/07/2020 11:19

@december2020 I was convinced I was having a boy (no idea why) and still can’t quite believe it’s a girl. I think it’s because the sonographer wasn’t overly confident but hopefully the 20 week scan will confirm things.

Yellowbeansontoast · 06/07/2020 11:27

@december2020 I was convinced it was a boy until last week when I had a very vivid dream about my partner handing me a baby girl in the delivery room and now I can't shake the feeling we're having one Grin will be interesting to find out!

ElsaCC · 06/07/2020 11:42

My husband thinks its a girl and most people we've told so far think its a boy. I guess we will find out on Wednesday.

Is anyone else already struggling with pregnancy brain? I'm usually the one who remembers everything and has to keep track of everything but now I would forget my own head if it wasn't attached to my neck 🙄

Bluejayway91 · 06/07/2020 12:06

@ElsaCC Oh my God, pregnancy brain super bad. I've been making loads of mistakes at work (luckily forgivable), but my husband has noticed that I keep doing silly things. He thinks it's cute, but it is frustrating at times. I also forget words for things now... I'm usually fairly articulate! I'm hoping this wears off by the time baby comes, but my friends with babies say no Grin

emmalily9 · 06/07/2020 12:23

@Bluejayway91 totally with you on forgetting words! I keep finding myself half way through a sentence then having no clue what the word is I need

djmbaker · 06/07/2020 16:25

I'm 15 + 3.. I am so tired. The tiredness is really tough. It's got worse recently. Anyone?
Still got my teenage acne too which is rubbish..
I'm not being sick but definitely nauseous. It has different levels throughout the day thou?

Annnnd.. I definitely have a bump now. My bloating has gone and I've got a round little bump forming. It's only small and im sure with the right dress etc you wouldn't know but I don't fit in my jeans anymore 😂

How's everyone else feeling???

december2020 · 06/07/2020 16:31

@Bluejayway91 I love it! I know what you mean, doesn't matter but a surprise nonetheless 😂

@Pea1984 oh god! When is your 20 week scan so you can and update? It's all anticipation then!

@Yellowbeansontoast omg yes! My friends and husband are convinced it's a boy as well so it'll be excited to see if everyone is right!

Also NCT classes are how much?? I've lived in a bubble and just assumed they were around 100-150 quid! 😂

Pea1984 · 06/07/2020 16:41

@december2020 20 week scan is on 3rd August which seems ages away but hopefully will fly by.

I haven’t even looked into NCT classes. How much are they then?

december2020 · 06/07/2020 16:53

@Pea1984 they told me £209 for the 17 hour one 🤯🤯🤯 I was blissfully unaware they cost so much (at least in my area). Ah my 20week is on 6th August but have the gender + wellbeing scan on 18th. July Time is moving so slowly for that.

LoveSunshine01 · 06/07/2020 17:04

@djmbaker yep. SO tired. All I want to do is sleep and it's not helped by needing to get up for a wee three times each night! This morning I had a meeting at 9am then went back to bed for half an hour for a power nap!

Yeah NCT around here is about £200...

Pea1984 · 06/07/2020 17:06

@december2020 oh wow that is expensive especially when most people seem to say they are good for meeting other families but not much else Confused I didn’t realise that my hospital do their own antenatal classes which are videos on you tube at the mo. Might just use those and save some money. I’m quite interested in the Positive Birthing Company hypnobirthing course which is £39 I think.

december2020 · 06/07/2020 17:25

I just never thought about it with the NCT classes, so didn't even cross my mind.
Everyone I've spoken to says it's worth it just to meet some people in the same boat and area as you (but the actual content is all good in theory but this kind of stuff never goes to plan so not totally useful once you're in the situation).

But my gosh, I'm in the wrong industry! Clearly need to start running a antenatal course business! 😅 or invent a Tinder but so you find local mums to make friends with! 😅
