Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

@calipoppy better to be on the safe side.

I'm 36 weeks today and the movements have changed, it feels more like rolls rather than kicks but I think that's normal as there's less room.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Helski123 · 28/11/2020 18:02

Hi @LikeSilentRaindrops yes first baby for me, and no idea why he decided to come so early

Sunflower0000 · 28/11/2020 22:43

@calipoppy yes I've noticed how the movements have changed too. More like shudders and turns rather than actual kicks in the earlier weeks. I asked the midwife and she said it's normal for the feeling to change and only be concerned if the frequency has changed, which it hasn't for me.
Definitely worth getting checking out or discussing with your midwife if you're worried though.
Hope everyone has had a nice day. I had a virtual baby shower today, it was great fun!

Thanks everyone for the advice! I went to the pregnancy assessment unit yesterday in the end, the baby's heart rate was fine but they've booked me in for a scan this week just to check if there's anything else causing reduced movements. Everyone says my bump is so small I think it's most likely the baby's just running out of space! But it feels much better knowing they are ok in there, you're all right to just always check just in case!

loobeelou · 29/11/2020 19:22

Glad the baby is ok @calipoppy, hopefully all goes well at your scan next week x

ElsaCC · 29/11/2020 20:12

Hi ladies. Hope everyone is doing well! A friend of mine just showed me this and I thought it might be useful to share the link.

They have a free online workshop on baby care for those first few days coming very soon

Thought I'd jump on and give a quick update, I'm 36+2 today, hospital today for a routine growth scan as my baby is small, they decided on the spot that I will be going for an emergency induction later on today as baby is only 4lb1oz and they worry that my placenta has stopped working so I wasn't expecting that today and I'm a bit in shock, first baby and I'm freaking out a lil as I thought I still had at least a week left hahahaha

Bigcheesey · 30/11/2020 13:43

Best of luck @catnip99 I hope everything goes smoothly for you! Super jealous you’re going to be holding your little one soon! ❤️

@ElsaCC I have done that course, the free one, it's really good

catnip99 · 03/12/2020 18:40

Hi all, my induction didn't go as planned, my baby didn't like the pessary at all and it ended in an emergency c section. my little Arthur was born at 36+5 so still classed as premature haha 9:48 thismorning weighing in at a tiny little 4lb 5oz, he's in the special care unit due to wacky blood sugar levels and not being able to keep down any feed but he's otherwise healthy and I'm so smitten, in pain but on top of the world🤍 thank you for all the good luck messages 🤍

loobeelou · 04/12/2020 12:16

Had a check up this morning, 36w6d today, baby is head down and measuring 6.2lb. Dr said we're in it for the long haul and booked my next apt 28th Dec (2 days after dd) 🤪😂

Hope you are all doing ok x

LikeSilentRaindrops · 04/12/2020 12:45

@loobeelou that’s a bit cryptic! What did he mean?

I’m just ahead of you - 37+1 and have been having period style cramping off and on all week, with constant lower back pain. When I walk I’ve got pressure in my bum and feel like I need to pee constantly. I keep thinking this surely can’t continue for another 3 weeks?! Have you had any signs?

Mycrazylife85 · 04/12/2020 12:59

@catnip99 huge congratulations to you! He's perfect!!!

@LikeSilentRaindrops I'm 38+5 and have just been to the midwife. I was 3/5th effaced two weeks ago but I had no idea what I am now as she didn't write in my notes. She says baby is in the right place and ready to go and discussed 'the show' and then followed it with "you can still have another few weeks to go after you get it" and then discussed a sweep if I am still pregnant in two weeks. She also suggested sex... 😏 no ta.

Last night I had so much pressure down there it was so uncomfortable sitting, I only got relief when I went to bed and led down. That's been and gone now but the need to pee is a very real thing.

Mycrazylife85 · 04/12/2020 13:01

@LikeSilentRaindrops last night I felt like I was really constipated and hadn't been in weeks, and then got the painful bowel when you know you are about to go after so long but it's so painful you can't actually move towards the loo and you certainly couldn't go. I'm not sure if that's a good description or not 😂
