Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

My emotions have been all over the place the last few days as well, I find I'm worse if I'm hungry 😂

I'm sure my two year old can sense that I can't run after him anymore as well. He goes for the gaps in the furniture that I can't fit through as well 🤪

Joys of pregnancy! We're nearly there ladies, we can do it!

Poodlemum1 · 18/11/2020 19:26

Yeah my 8 year old has been a bit funny the last few weeks.
She is normally very helpful along with my 13 year old daughter but she’s plying up a bit now knowing i can’t tell her off lol
she will run upstairs after being cheeky laughing .
I’m just letting her have her glory as the hammer will be back down soon 🤣🤣🤣

She is lovely today though I’ve had lots of cuddles and kisses , we have played games and read books .

She’s a little terror sometimes but she’s allowed to be she is only 8.

Poodlemum1 · 18/11/2020 19:29

@emmalily9 I don’t envy you moving house ! We decided to decorated the whole house last month , upstairs is finished now but we’re on doing down and I’m trying to get all Christmas shopping done .
I need to book a food delivery as I won’t be able to do the Christmas shop.

My husband has been amazing and done the majority on his own , but we have still had arguments with me just going up and giving my orders out 😂😂

emmalily9 · 18/11/2020 19:37

@Poodlemum1 I'm impressed you're doing the whole house in one go! I'm not sure I'll manage that one. My husband was a superstar moving all our stuff as I can't lift a lot of stuff now. It stresses me out that the babies come on their own schedule as I don't know how much sorting I'll have done before she arrives 😂

Poodlemum1 · 18/11/2020 20:33

@emmalily9
We have a three bed house so our two girls have to share a room now so we could do our baby boys room.
The girls wanted a whole different room design and we were doing the baby room so I thought freshen up our room and the bathroom while we are on .

I’m thinking I might leave the living room until after new year . It’s gonna be a push before Christmas.

I hope you get sorted before baby arrives and if not you can have time afterwards . You will be to occupied with little one .

I’m so exited for Baby to arrive and Christmas with our family . The girls are so exited .

Guys I've woken up this morning scared of giving birth. I'm 36+2 and seeing midwife later for check up and 'birthplan' is it normal to feel like this??

loobeelou · 19/11/2020 08:40

@Nic2908 it's completely normal to be anxious about giving birth. Hopefully when you have spoken to your midwife and put a 'plan' in place you will feel less so.
You can do it 😉

P.S - I'm a wimp, it took me 25 years to get my ears pierced and I'm on baby #2 so it can't be that bad 🤪😂

catnip99 · 20/11/2020 14:54

I keep having the most crazy labour dreams since being told I'm getting induced 😳 my first baby and I'm absolutely dreading the birth I can't shake it, I was literally so calm and fine about the whole thing and suddenly I am not? I'm a notorious extreme over thinker though and am constantly being told off by my partner for over thinking so much hahaha

I'm also stressing a bit because my hospital had a system update at the start of the week and they've messed all my appointments up and they phoned me telling me off yesterday for not showing up for a scan I was never informed about 😩 I was also told the beginning of the week that someone would be phoning me about more appointments and it never happened so I guess I'll have to ask about it on Saturday at my scan 🙄 I don't have the emotional stability to be messed around this late into my pregnancy 😂😂😂

penguin423 · 20/11/2020 23:20

Sorry I haven't posted here for ages. I hope everyone is doing well, can't believe it is the final stretch.

I am getting the last bits and pieces sorted for the hospital bag and realised I hadn't thought about pyjamas/nighties for the hospital. At the moment the baby is very low down and comfy in a breech position (35 weeks today) which they think is unlikely to change so there's a good chance of a C Section. I wondered if anyone had found anything they would recommend? My hope is to breastfeed and don't know if it's best to get any specific ones or if loose 'normal' pyjamas are just as good!

Hi ladies,

Haven't been on for a while as started getting painful contractions every 2mins on Weds night, but after a long and eventful labour, little Tobias has made his grand entrance! No longer a December baby,
6lbs 5oz at 36+5 and absolutely gorgeous. We're so in love and proud of our little boy Smile

Here's a little pic, I guess the first one here!

Christmas babies thread 4!
Katbaby · 21/11/2020 11:03

Oh my goodness, first baby of the Christmas babies thread!

We really are getting towards the end ❤️❤️

Poodlemum1 · 21/11/2020 11:14

@Yellowbeansontoast oh what a beautiful little boy !!! Congratulations 🥳
I hope your both doing well after the birth, you have time to get settled and feeling better in time for your baby’s first Christmas xxx

Nic2908 · 21/11/2020 11:20

@Yellowbeansontoast oh my goodness. Congratulations on baby tobias. Lovely name. First Christmas baby...... its suddenly got very real!!

loobeelou · 21/11/2020 13:42

Congratulations @Yellowbeansontoast, welcome to the world Tobias. Hope you are both doing well, he's gorgeous x

Yellowbeansontoast · 21/11/2020 13:46

@Katbaby @Poodlemum1 @Nic2908 thank you :)

can't wait to see other little ones arrive! Not long to go now, praying for a smooth and fast labour for everyone 🙏

Katbaby · 21/11/2020 14:42

@Yellowbeansontoast is it bad that I'm jealous you have your baby😭👶🏻

I'm only 34+5 but so ready to meet our little one now. Happy for it to stay cooking until 37 weeks but then I'll be telling it to evict.

Knowing my luck ill go to 42 weeks 🤣 it is my first after all, likely to go over 😑😑😑xx

Yellowbeansontoast · 21/11/2020 16:02

@Katbaby not at all, I can completely sympathise!

Although I'd say definitely hold on til 37wks, I feel like our journey would have been that much smoother if he'd have waited just a touch longer as the hospital was reluctant to do anything to help things along seeing he was that little bit prem!

loobeelou · 21/11/2020 16:18

@catnip99 sorry to hear the trouble you have had with your hospital. Hope you are feeling better today.

@penguin423 I have bought some nursing pjs on boohoo. One pair has a button down front top, the other has a wrap front top and the pants go over the bump. Not sure if over the bump is what you might want after a c-section 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mycrazylife85 · 21/11/2020 21:17

@Yellowbeansontoast eeeek!!! A huge congratulations to you!!! I'm 36 + 6 and it amazes me that our baby could be that big of she came now. He's beautiful!

I'm hoping I get a few more weeks. Our little lady is 3/5th engaged as of Thursday.

I am still trying to tick things off, although hospital bag is done and I admit defeat with getting the bits ready for Christmas. I just can't do it all. It's so easy to overdo it now.
Huge congratulations to you again! 🥰 xx

Yellowbeansontoast · 22/11/2020 07:10

@Mycrazylife85 thank you! I was surprised what good size he is actually, as he's been measuring bang on 50th centile at every scan and my bump was always spot on with my weeks! It just really is so unpredictable despite all the measuring.

Just wanted to pop in to say that the disposable incontinence underwear is currently one of my favourite things, I haven't even touched the maternity pads and glad I don't have to faff around trying to put them in my underwear etc. So would definitely recommend them if anyone is still to pack their bag!

Sunflower0000 · 22/11/2020 08:07

Congratulations @Yellowbeansontoast he looks adorable! Glad you're both doing ok xx

ElsaCC · 22/11/2020 10:52

@Yellowbeansontoast oh my!! A massive congratulations! I bet you are over the moon now 😄 enjoy your baby and wishing you all the happiness

calipoppy · 22/11/2020 13:15

Huge congratulations @Yellowbeansontoast what a lovely early surprise, he's beautiful!! Thanks so much for the tip on disposable underwear too, I've been really unsure whether I need some or not!

makingababy · 23/11/2020 15:43

@Yellowbeansontoast
Congratulations, he’s gorgeous! So pleased you’re settling in ok after what I’m sure was a bit of a stressful arrival! He’s so adorable though! I hope you’re doing well with feeding and managing to get some rest! X

Bumble84 · 23/11/2020 16:43

@Yellowbeansontoast congrats! Can’t believe the first baby is here!

I’ve not been on for a while as I lost the thread.
