Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

Hi Everyone, Hope all are doing well.

I too keep running to washroom like a million times in a day. It's so tiring and exhausting.

We can start a Whatsapp group to help and support each other more as the app is more approachable. I can understand if people are not comfortable sharing their numbers with each other.

Please let me know if expecting moms are interested in joining the group. Hope we all have a calming and healthy birth coming soon for all of us.

catnip99 · 09/11/2020 16:56

Yep, can definitely relate to the constant toilet trips, thought I was going to wet myself early hours of Saturday because my bladder was so full it hurt, god knows how I'd managed to sleep through it getting so full 😂😂

I'd join a whatsapp group if one was created, I'm a younger ftm so would be great to have a group of other ftms and experienced mums to speak to 🤍

I forget Mumsnet exists half the time because my phone never notifies me Blush

Nic2908 · 10/11/2020 11:37

I would join a whats app group too. I don't have fb so whats app is better.

catnip99 · 12/11/2020 17:41

Anyone else suffering with the aches and pains? 34 weeks on Saturday and my body is just about ready to give up 😩 my left arm and leg are just a constant ache, so ready for this baby 😂

Nic2908 · 12/11/2020 17:45

@catnip99 me!! I feel like every joint is about to dislocate making it very difficult to sleep. And the aches.. I felt like a nana. 35+2

Mycrazylife85 · 12/11/2020 18:31

Peeing every half hour I'm sure. I'm absolutely convinced that it's four wee's for one cups worth of fluid Confused drinking 2 litres is a mission!

loobeelou · 12/11/2020 19:16

We have the same due date @catnip99 although DS was 10 days late so I won't be surprised if I go over again!

I'm done with the aches and pains, some days are worse than others but good days are becoming few and far between. But, in 8 weeks time, it will all be a distant memory and baby will be here.

One thing for sure, I'm not doing it again 😂

Poodlemum1 · 12/11/2020 19:28

I went to see my midwife yesterday I’m 32 weeks .
She looked at my growth scan from last week (I have them every two weeks) and said she wow I think this baby will be early .
I knew I would have my planned section at 38 weeks as I’m type 2 diabetic and have had two EmCS before .
But my midwife said of baby continued to grow the way he is she thinks 36-37 .
My baby is measuring off the chart and estimated at 5lb 9oz at 31 weeks .

My last two girls were small babies so this is unusual for me. This could explain why I’m in so much pain now though my SPD is severe and and braxton hicks are very strong. I have a lot of in my lower back and was crying the last two nights with the pain.
I have quite a high pain threshold and was fine with my last two pregnancies but this is just wiping me out lately . 🥲🤷‍♀️

catnip99 · 12/11/2020 20:12

@loobeelou yes we do I remember!! Boxing Day babies hahaha

However I find out Monday if he's coming early as he was weighing in at a very small 3lb at my growth scan almost 2 weeks ago. I don't mind if he's early, I might still get to eat a Christmas dinner😂😂 I also look forward to the not to pleasant side effects of pregnancy disappearing, I'm having such a hard time lately 😩

loobeelou · 16/11/2020 11:48

How is everyone doing? The weeks are slowly counting down 😂

Tried to talk to DH about names again last night, I've left it for a while after we got no where last time. Fell on deaf ears again! 🤪

Mycrazylife85 · 16/11/2020 12:37

Hello @loobeelou

All good here. 36 weeks so once I get to 37 I'll breath relief and totally relax. I can then all being well be midwife led when little lady arrives. We had a scan recently as we saw 'girl bits' at the 20 weeks scan and, whilst we were not bothered either way, we realised we were beginning to invest in a little girl and call 'her','she'. She is indeed a girlie. We are thrilled.

We didn't discuss names as there was always a name we liked and as far a DH was concerned it is a sealed deal. She couldn't be anything else. I can't imagine anything else either. The middle name took a bit of persuasion to discuss. He wasn't too fussed but then came up with a lovely name that we think fits.

So, in 4 weeks, and no later than 6, our Valentina Violet will be with us. We have kept her name secret from family and friends. My mum is too opinionated. But is she wants she can be a 'Vee-Vee' but to us, we call her our teeny.

Mycrazylife85 · 16/11/2020 12:41

That's her first and middle name not a hyphenated name too

loobeelou · 16/11/2020 13:10

@Mycrazylife85 congratulations and lovely name choice. Is this your first?

We are expecting a girl as well, I like Charlotte and my husband hasn't vetoed it yet so we'll see! We have a 2 year old son and I'm sure we had his name picked by now 😂

Mycrazylife85 · 16/11/2020 13:36

Awww Charlotte is a lovely name. How far along are you?

It is our first, and likely only. At 35 now and it took 14 months to become pregnant. It was purely a miracle it did considering how much was stacked against us. We were just being referred to the fertility clinic to regulate my wildly erratic cycles. I'm eternally grateful 🥰

catnip99 · 16/11/2020 14:58

Hi all, really lovely name @Mycrazylife85 !! Our name for a girl was maeve 💜
We are having a boy though so he is to be called Arthur, which my mom absolutely despises so makes me love it even more hahaha

Just found out today I am being induced at 37 weeks so my just under 6 week wait has now been bumped down to just under 3, absolutely petrified 🥴

loobeelou · 16/11/2020 15:44

@Mycrazylife85 I am 34 weeks, due 26th Dec but suspect I'll go over. I'm being induced on 1st Jan if she's not made an appearance by then.
Aww, not too much longer to wait before you get to meet her 😊

Is this your first @catnip99? Very exciting, 3 weeks to go. I like Arthur 😊

ElsaCC · 16/11/2020 19:11

Hi all! I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and for some reason have a feeling (based on nothing really) the baby will be early and will make an appearance between the 7th and the 11th of December! Anyone else has a feeling of the actual birth day?
You all have lovely names picked already!! My husband and I can reach an agreement between Logan, Gabriel or Connor but we decided we will look at the baby and then see which is more suitable

Nic2908 · 16/11/2020 22:23

@ElsaCC I have always said 38 weeks. No idea why first baby. Hubby thinks he will be slow to come.out and will go over. Who knows. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow too. How funny if we both go early.

Poodlemum1 · 17/11/2020 12:04

Hi I’m sat in the hospital after my growth scan as I’m diabetic , I’m 33 weeks + 4 and baby has measured 6lb 10 oz 😳😳
I’ve previously had two small babies so the fact this one is big and head and stomach is measuring off the scale is worrying me

loobeelou · 17/11/2020 13:57

@ElsaCC and @Nic2908 I was convinced DS would arrive early but it wasn't the case. Maybe it was wishful thinking at the time 😂

ElsaCC · 17/11/2020 15:20

@Nic2908 first baby too! Like @loobeelou said its possibly wishful thinking. Not much longer to see though 😃
@Poodlemum1 good luck! Hopefully they will come up with a plan soon

Poodlemum1 · 17/11/2020 16:16

Just got home , I was sent to PAU with high BP and protein in my urine . Everything ok and section booked for the 17th December . I’m nervous already for this planned section. I e had two Emergency ones but very nervous

Mycrazylife85 · 18/11/2020 17:21

Oh @Poodlemum1 I'm sorry to hear this but I have also had many friends and family have a planned section after emergencies and the experience is far more calm and rewarding. Many have said it's so calm Its like popping to the shops and coming out with a baby (and stitches of course but you know what they mean)

I am 36 weeks plus 3 and have cried on three occasions today. It's crazy. I'm crazy. Two occasions because my bath couldn't be delivered In time to be fitted and also because I've got this overwhelming feeling of sadness that our baby will be born and she'll no longer be inside me. I have no idea what is going on with me.

I also put on just over 2 lbs last week which sucks as I was under the impression weight gain tails off at this stage. I must not eat biscuits or anything but fruit snacks from now on 😏

Poodlemum1 · 18/11/2020 17:35

@Mycrazylife85 oh I feel for you being so sad.
It just gets you like that sometimes.
I cried last week while in the bath because I couldn’t get out and had to wait for my husband to come and help me . I just felt so useless.
It’s passed now and I’m feeling much better and happier.

I’m hoping I last until my section as we have all the days off and childcare arranged . My feet were swollen again today so I sat and made sure I rested. I really hope preclampsia doesn’t kick in .
I’m probably worrying more than I need to about it.

A lot of people have said a planned section is so much calmer . I’m hoping there right . I panic if I have to get a tooth out never mind a baby lol

I hope your feeling better soon , and yes your baby won’t be inside you but she will be in your arms for the rest of your life xxxxxx

emmalily9 · 18/11/2020 18:17

I'm 36+4 and to be honest I'm so ready for baby to make an appearance. I'm not sleeping well. Awake at 4am most mornings but I'm super happy I bought mat leave forward by 2 weeks. I was really struggling the last week I was in work, plus the added worry of covid and being in a school I decided it just wasn't worth it.

We moved house over the weekend too, we must be mad as there's quite a bit to do and a baby due to make an appearance within the next 5 or so weeks 😳

Hope everyone is well sorry to read some are struggling more than others, I've ended up in PAU a few times so can totally sympathise. It's a stressful experience.
