Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

Sorry to hear you're having a tough time @catnip99. Hopefully you are ok and your little one has a growth spurt and can stay put as long as possible.

viixie · 01/11/2020 16:50

It's just dawned on me that I'm having a baby next month !!!! 😱😱😱

FiJen · 03/11/2020 10:10

Cannot believe how close we are all getting to meeting our babies! I finish work on the 19th November which all of a sudden seems so close, especially when I still have my maternity cover to train up! Had my 34 week check up on Friday and bump was measuring over the 95th centile after being bang on 50th centile at 28weeks so had a growth scan yesterday and it definitely looks like I am on track to have a big big baby! This is my first- does anyone have experience of how accurate growth scans are, or is there a chance baby might still fit into the newborn bits haha? Not that it matters, just happy that everything else suggests baby is healthy and happy!!

makingababy · 03/11/2020 13:50

Hi @catnip99 and sorry you are having a tough time! It sounds like they will be doing everything they need to do to make sure everything goes well and baby is healthy. I’m sure it’s hectic (and stressful!) but remember it’s all for the baby’s benefit - you’ll be great xx

How is everyone doing?

Had a check up and whooping cough vaccine this morning. My arm hurts! 😂

Helski123 · 07/11/2020 12:34

Hi everyone, not been on here for ages. Can't believe how quickly it's going now, I'm just over 33 weeks now which means a maximum of less than 9 weeks before baby arrives! Finally written a hospital bag list and starting to collect stuff together. Keep seeing adverts for christmas already! Looking forward to getting my advent calendar (AKA due date countdown calendar 😂)

@catnip99 sorry to hear your baby boy is measuring small. How are you getting on? No advice sorry but just wanted to send you some support. They are obviously on the ball to pick up that there could be a problem and monitoring you very closely to keep baby safe. Just remember that every day that goes by is an extra day of growth. Hope it's not too stressful for you x

@viixie how are you doing? Hope everything is going ok?

loobeelou · 07/11/2020 14:18

I like the advent calendar/ due date calendar idea @Helski123, I'm due on 26th so it would be perfect! 😂 I mentioned to DH that we needed to get an advent calendar for DS, I might just have to get one for me too 😋

33 weeks today.

Yellowbeansontoast · 07/11/2020 17:49

@Helski123 @loobeelou I'm already using one as the lockdown countdown calendar Grin anything to make these last few weeks bearable!

Have finally got an exercise ball as well, loving these new comforts Grin

I'm 35 weeks and for some reason have had a panic the last few days that things aren't sorted. Especially the hospital bag. I've been getting it together and will hope to have it done this week. It's my first baby but the last two days I am feeling more pressure low down and I'm so worried she'll come early. I'm happy for her to stay put for ideally another 4 weeks. I'm not ready yet and I'm loving feeling her move so much. I'm really not ready to let that go either.

Suddenly wishing I was finishing work earlier too. I've got another 3 weeks before I finish. 😞

Nic2908 · 09/11/2020 08:13

I've been look for this thread for bloody ages and not been able to find it. How is everyone doing? I'm 35 weeks tomorrow, going in for a growth scan this morning.

Anyone else finding third trimester very difficult??

Mams8989 · 09/11/2020 08:30

Just Marking my place here...:-)

makingababy · 09/11/2020 10:44

@Mycrazylife85 I’m starting to panic a bit too - sorted some of the bug stuff a month or so ago but now worrying about hospital bag and the small things. I haven’t bought any nappies yet, some other bits to buy and still have some organising to do at home. I just need to get on with it all I guess!

I feel a lot more pressure lower down low now to but the midwife said that’s normal. It’s annoying how often I have to pee though - I’ll feel like I’m going to burst and then there’s not much to actually come out. The midwife said her head is just resting on my bladder now 🤦🏻‍♀️ I must be up for it at least three times every night now. It’s tiring, especially during the work week!

Hope everyone has a good week!

makingababy · 09/11/2020 10:46

Oh my god, so many typos. Did I mention that baby brain is starting to kick in too?

This morning I went to make an instant coffee but filled the mug with milk rather than hot water 😂

Helski123 · 09/11/2020 10:51

I'm mainly just feeling excited at the moment, although have an odd moment where reality starts to kick in. Think it'll hit me more when we get to December. I'm feeling amazingly good atm too, plenty of energy and don't feel like too much of an elephant. So trying to make the most of that while it lasts! I realise I'm incredibly lucky to feel like this and hope that all of you that are having a difficult pregnancy are doing ok x

And I definitely have baby brain too @makingababy 😂

Katbaby · 09/11/2020 10:54

Morning girls.

@Nic2908 yes! Struggling so much with the extra weight and pressure now, and sooo tired alot of the time.
Suffered with a bad head cold last week that I couldn't shake, luckily feeling a lot better since the weekend

I'm working from home until leave starts on 27th now 😊 hoping it means I feel more rested. Was quite nice folding away all my uniform for the loft until 2022!!

How is everyone else doing? I wanted to have a primark visit for all my hospital bag bits but since it's closed now I've had to order some bits off matalan, will be starting to pack my bags once they arrive!

Mycrazylife85 · 09/11/2020 11:50

@makingababy i feel you! Currently up 4 times a night for a pee. Usually every 1-1:30 hours until 3 and then 5/6 🤦🏻‍♀️ I must admit I'm feeling tired.

Anyone managed to do perineal massage. It must be about the funniest leaflet to read. I mean, I'm no Edward Scissorhands and I'm not an Olympic gymnast either 🤣 I'm giving it a go of sorts but nothing like the instructions. Hopefully a bit of oil between there will give it a good moisturise if anything 😂

Mycrazylife85 · 09/11/2020 11:54

@Katbaby I thought about a Primark run when it was open but just don't think I could manage it. For me it's be the length of time between loo visits and then I long round. I'm putting my chiropractors children through private education as it is 🤣 I really hope that I can walk without back and shoulder pain after the baby is born (and I can go places without worrying about if there's a loo) otherwise we have a nice pram that will just sit in the cupboard 😞

Click and collect is a godsend

Bloody dreadful that message. I'm really not with it

Helski123 · 09/11/2020 12:27

@Mycrazylife85 I'm planning on trying perineal massage, not quite 34 weeks so haven't started yet. Not quite sure how I'll get on with it but thought it was worth a try. Also been thinking about an aniball but I've read mixed reviews on how easy they are to use.

Nic2908 · 09/11/2020 12:33

I'm not sure my arms are long enough for perneal massage. Keep thinking its something I should be doing. I had a growth scan today baby is looking a usual size so thats good. I've had a rough third trimester which is why I hadn't been on much, been in hospital twice with different things and then I've started vomiting, midwife told me because of ketone being present in my wee I am in starvation mode so need to get some anti sickness from go. Take me back to 2nd trimester!!

I am all sorted and ready to go. Hospital bag done and everything. Had to be productive when I had energy as its very fleeting. So nice to hear from you all. @Natt99 not heard from you in ages how are you??

Sunflower0000 · 09/11/2020 13:17

Hey @Nic2908 Nat here, I changed my name as I thought it was a bit outing 😂
So sorry to hear you haven't been well. Glad the baby size is ok though, do you think you'll have to be induced early? Good work on getting the bag all packed and ready 👍

Not finding it too bad tbh. I've had a few leg cramps wake me up at night which is horrendous and some days need about 10 naps but other than that it's been pretty straight forward.

I was luckily enough to get to primark recently, spent over £100 😬 but got front opening pyjamas, nighties, giant pants, cheap slippers etc. I just got the size XL so hopefully they'll still fit in 6 weeks!

Also started NCT online. I was really worried as heard it wasn't as good as face to face but we've both found it really interesting and the course leader is really engaging. Guess it's luck of the draw.

Has anyone else had any err boob leakages? I've started to notice some damp spots in my bra so will have to wear breast pads soon. Reluctant to try to harvest the colostrum yet as I heard it can induce labour and only 34 weeks!

Sending lots of love to all those that are struggling 💕 not long to go now and your babies will be with you x

SettyBuarez · 09/11/2020 13:40

Hi everyone, glad to hear everyone is doing well. Sorry to those who are suffering, I hope it eases for you soon!

I hear you all about the needing the loo though. Every night without fail at 1ish and 3ish, and some nights I just end up staying awake. I've finished at work now though, or rather been finished because of covid, so I'm wfh until my mat leave kicks in on the 20th. Hospital bag is almost ready now, just an odd few bits to get.

@Mycrazylife85 I get that about not being ready completely! For the most part I've enjoyed being pregnant and I love feeling baby move and I know I'll really miss that.

Katbaby · 09/11/2020 14:05

@Sunflower0000 hey Nat 😊

I've been leaking since 23 weeks, soaking my bra sometimes 😂 still been advised by midwife to wait until 37 weeks to harvest it though which is frustrating as I seem to lose so much it seems like such a waste!

Wish I had done my primark run but never mind

Sunflower0000 · 09/11/2020 14:31

@Katbaby hello 👋🏻 sorry you've been suffering a bit too.
oh wow! That's brill though as means your body is getting super ready!
I really enjoyed the NCT session on breastfeeding, it's so clever how it acts as a supply and demand specifically for your baby. I really hope I'm able to do it without any issues.

So jealous of you finishing on 27/11! Not long at all now! I'm working until 09/12 and it's really dragging....
