Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

Whoops autocorrect! Hypnobirthing* 😂

LoveSunshine01 · 26/08/2020 07:48

Hey @calipoppy I've started the positive birth company online course. I got it started early on cos I was freaking out about this baby coming out of me when we first found out. It definitely calmed me down a bit, I'm about half way through and have taken a break with the house move and everything. It's only £40 which is amazing compared to the courses I looked into locally. Also, with it being online you can pause and discuss or look up further detail if you want.

Personally I find the girl who runs it a bit annoying, but I think that's just cos of the video format with a camera just on her for so long. It has good info and advice.

Also doing a bit of reading too if you want any book recommends 🤓

SarH89 · 27/08/2020 08:53

Hi @calipoppy that’s exactly how I would describe the taste! Thanks for the tips re vitamins, I will have a play around with dose and brand to see if it helps! X

I’ve just sent in my Mat leave form so officially finish on the 23rd December but because of annual leave I now only have 13 weeks left at work. Eek! It doesn’t seem like long now!

viixie · 28/08/2020 13:37

@Bumble84 I have four weeks left at work 😫 I work in the hospital so have to work at home from 28 weeks as once you're term, you are classed as high risk due to Covid. Who knows what they are going to give me to do, I'm not looking forward to it

viixie · 28/08/2020 13:37

How are everyone's bumps coming on ? 😊

MaverickDanger · 28/08/2020 13:41

I’m starting mat leave on 7 Dec but using leave for 2 weeks before that. 12 weeks to go!

I’m probably still going to have leave left to take but think I’d rather reduce my hours from 32 weeks rather than go off completely at say 36 weeks.

SettyBuarez · 28/08/2020 15:48

I sent my MatB1 form in over 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing back, despite the business manager saying she would be in over the holidays and checking emails. No idea what will happen now as I'm 25 weeks today, and because we're in a MAT and buy in payroll and similar services, I've got absolutely no idea who else to contact. So frustrating.

Anyway. I've only got 11 weeks until I finish, which is a bit scary really!

Shroppy · 28/08/2020 15:49

Hey Ladies!

Thought I'd have a catch up of the last few days and I'm so glad I did 😃 I was having a major stress with work, redecorating the house, not having bought anything (although gifted a few things!) and if not getting bored definitely a little fed up of not being able to do normal things. But knowing I'm not alone in the chaos has helped me feel a bit more normal so I feel I can stop rocking in my corner and get back to the endless job of painting...although I might stay hidden upstairs away from the mess for a little longer...maybe take a nap...😉

Enjoy the weekend x

Katbaby · 28/08/2020 16:28

Afternoon girls!

I've put my matb1 in last week, finishing 11th December but using annual leave so mat leave officially starts on my due date the 28th 😊 all feeling real!

Bumble84 · 28/08/2020 16:36

@SettyBuarez I haven’t heard anything either, are we supposed to? I just assumed if they had it then we’ve done our bit!

SettyBuarez · 28/08/2020 17:14

@Bumble84 I thought I'd have to tell them when I want to finish and a rough idea of when I'm back. The business manager told me the form got sent on to someone else and they send me a pack so I just thought I'd have heard something? No idea. I'm back in on Tuesday though so maybe I'll find out then!

Bumble84 · 28/08/2020 17:53

Ah right, I’m with you @SettyBuarez, I had to fill in another form that went along with mine actually to say when I wanted Mat leave to start. They didn’t ask me when I was planning on returning just whether I was or not. I don’t think they can ask you just now when you plan to return

Nic2908 · 28/08/2020 22:58

I have officially got 9 shifts left at work. Grin I cant believe it really. Going to be very strange going off at 28 weeks but I have to say our trust isnt giving me any work just no expectation at all so going to relax and look after myself for a change.
Finally bought a pram went for an i candy peach and I am in love. Also bought the car seat isofix cot and drawers so feeling real now cant wait for things go start arriving.

Can I ask I am 24 +4 and I feel massive. In fact he has a nick name of the hulk I feel that big. Does anyone else feel massive?

MaverickDanger · 29/08/2020 00:31

Also 24+4 and feeling huge! He feels so heavy already, I’m genuinely worried about getting much bigger.

My joints are already hurting from this extra weight.

december2020 · 29/08/2020 05:53

@Nic2908 the MIL and I have nicknamed the bump Andre the Giant, so I feel you!

I've been lucky, I feel reasonably well, I just tire quickly (or get a stitch trying to keep up with my husband and dog on walks). But no other aches or pains yet.

How is everyone doing with names? Me and the husband have TOTALLY different tastes, so far we have one name on a list that we both actually like. That's it, just one!

Bumble84 · 29/08/2020 08:51

I’m 23+3 I don’t really feel that big yet but my skin is definitely tighter which is concerning me about all the skin stretching 😔 I’m just lathering on moisturiser and bio oil and hoping for the best!

We’ve got a wee list of names in a book, anytime we think of one we put it in but we’re straight going with boys names. I keep going back to the same girls name and we both liked it from the beginning so that might be a winner if we have a girl!

MaverickDanger · 29/08/2020 21:22

@Bumble84 ooh what have you picked? We know we’re having a boy, so keep going around 4 different options. Will wait to see what he looks like.

I’m half tempted to go through the recent ONS baby names list to see if there is anything else that jumps out.

Rnic1x · 30/08/2020 07:50

Morning girls.
I hope everyone is doing well.
I can't believe I'm over 24 weeks now, seems a lifetime ago since I was writing on our first post at about 4 weeks 🙈
Is anybody having a break away before baby arrives?
I know it's selfish due to the current situation, but I've had the shittest year ever (apart from my little babe inside me) and I really feel like I need a few days just to forget about the world. I'm thinking maybe Chester for a weekend just hoping things stay as they are.
I well and truly need two big holidays next year 🙈

Hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend, I have a christening today and I'm still not 100% sure what I'm wearing, the joys of the bump xxx

Hi ladies, hope you're all getting on ok. Wondering what your work guidance has been like once you hit the 28 week mark? I've been working in an office all throughout the entire lockdown period, but with more people coming back into the work place I'm concerned as I approach the 28 week mark.

loobeelou · 30/08/2020 17:18

Hi ladies, hope you're all ok.
Do any of you have days when your bump feels heavier and more uncomfortable? I'm 23+1 with baby 2 but I don't remember feeling like this so early on with DS 🤔

Bumble84 · 30/08/2020 17:23

@MaverickDanger we’re keeping names to ourselves just now, bit of a superstition I suppose especially as we all don’t even know each other but still feel like I want to keep it to myself, sorry!

@Rnic1x Me and hubby are having a wee break in a self catering lodge. I feel the risk is acceptable to me with regards to covid for a few days away. I wouldn’t be going near a plane but I’ve heard of a lot of pregnant women who are, it’s a personal choice. Plane travel just seems a bit risky to me. I think it sounds like a great idea to get away to Chester!

djmbaker · 30/08/2020 21:40

Hellooo girls!!! Sorry for not speaking in so long. I feel like I've gone back to work and I am now more tired than ever before!! I work and sleep it seems.

How is everyone?? I can't believe we are all at this point from literally finding out at 4+ weeks... all those photos of our clear blue digi tests due to @Katbaby 😂😂

@Rnic1x we are going away! We are off to Scotland beginning of October for a few nights because we are getting married!!! We are eloping 😍😍 we aren't telling anyone and just getting married with our witnesses and that's it.. then spending 4 nights in a beautiful hotel. I cannot wait!!

Has everyone started buying stuff now?? I've got a snuzpod.. a pram and a nappy bin 😂😂 hoping you start on the nursery soon.. I've also decided I want the house decorated too as you do! I feel like the next 4 months are going to fly by if that last 5/6 months are anything to go by!!

Lovely to hear how you are all doing - I do read it posts most nights but my life is so boring right now I don't feel I have anything to input xxx

Nic2908 · 30/08/2020 21:47

@djmbaker how amazing is that!! Congratulations. You both must be super excited. That is so romantic!!!

I know all the pregnancy tests Haha, that seems like another life time ago doesnt it!!

djmbaker · 30/08/2020 21:49

@Nic2908 yessss.. we think so, we can't wait. We have been engaged for about 18 months and we never wanted a big wedding due to families so we just thought, this is the perfect excuse to do it on our own and our way! 😍😍

It does!!! It really feels like it was ages ago?? I can't believe we are all going to be posting our babies soon enough.. it's mad! X
