@djmbaker that dress is very flattering on you. I've been finding that a lot of the maternity stuff is very 'mumsy' (😂) which that isn't, maybe I need to try boohoo.

I've been relying on one pair of maternity shorts and loose tops and dresses that I already had, don't think that approach is gonna last too much longer!! If anyone finds more maternity wear gems, please share!

How is everyone?

Husband had to do an extra night shift tonight and I'm feeling a little bored this evening.
Mentally I'm totally energised but due to the heat, physically I feel a bit lethargic.

Any tips or suggestions on what I could do?
I'm so sick of mind numbing tv 😬

@december2020 I know the feeling. My husband works shifts a lot so I’m often in alone at night. I ordered a paint by numbers last week and I’m actually quite enjoying it! I don’t do it for too long at a time but it’s nice to dip in and out.

@Tink679 I didn't find out the sex. We have two girls already and I'm certain I didn't see any balls so I'm thinking it's another girl 🙈 poor hubby 🤣 no more after this one though

@Bumble84 it's hard isn't it! He's usually only got 2 night shifts in the rota but now that they're so short staffed everyone is working extra.

Ooooh good shout! I may need to get a pint by numbers! Also need to get a battery for a string tuner and can get an old guitar to try teach myself. How are you finding the best way to keep entertained while he's gone?

I'm currently shifting through cot beds and thinking about having an alcohol free beer while doing a bit of writing.

@december2020 my OH works away during the week and I have done way too much online shopping of an evening! There’s only so much crochet I can do and I have rewatched all of the Harry potters with the twins too so I completely get where you are coming from!

@viixie aww bless! Very outnumbered if it is another girl, still very exciting though!

I do watch much more TV and eating more than I should be! I try to keep busy though between reading, cleaning, jigsaws and things like that. Also waste a lot of time browsing the internet though!

Hi all only just been told about this thread so I'm a bit late! I'm due 26th of December with my first and just found out last week that it's a boy

Was anyone else's baby breech at the 20 week scan? I knew it was head up because i was feeling kicks very low but this is very new to me. My other two were already head down and stayed there from my 20 week scan

Congratulations @catnip99 I'm due Christmas eve with my first. Gonna be an exciting Christmas!

@viixie mine was head down at my scan last week but it's such early days I assume they can still move around loads at this stage. Be interesting to see whether it's still the same when I have another scan next week.

So the last couple of days I've been feeling what could be the start of movement! Really low down and really faint so could be nothing, who knows?

I think I may have felt little movements last night. Just sitting watching tv and I felt a little pop a few times over the night. I also got a jabbing pain off to the side which was actually quite painful but dr google says it’s likely to be round ligament pain which is really common.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well! I've been a bit quiet recently as we were away at a cottage last week and it was bliss, but I've been reading everyone's updates. So nice to hear about the scans and see the pictures!

Had my 20 week scan at 19+3 and they couldn't get all the measurements so I've got to go back on Friday when I'll be 22 weeks. Booked a private scan in the meantime, which we've had today. We're having a little boy, who was keen to show us between his legs but not his face, which he was hiding in the (anterior) placenta! Got a couple of really nice pictures of feet and hands! :D

@SettyBuarez I had a private scan a little over a week ago where I too found out I was having a boy who was extremely happy to show his bits, he was being very naughty tho and just wanted to snooze in the first place which resulted in the sonographer digging around on my very full bladder for quite some time 😩 fingers crossed all measurements can be taken at your next appointment though 🤞🏻

Sooo I've finally started feeling movement and the last couple days Ive been able to see my belly move the odd time which is so exciting. At my 12 week scan it said on the notes my placenta is anterior also, but will be interesting to see if it has changed. I've got my 20 week hospital scan on Friday but having a private one tonight and can't wait! Feels like such a long time since seeing the baby last will help it feel real again!

I'm 19+1 now. Almost halfway girls can't believe it! Feels like forever ago since we were 'line eyeing'!

@djmbaker took your advice and bought the dress also but in green 👌 chopped my head off in the pic 😂
Starting to feel rather bumpy now. Will update you with scan pics later if they are good 🙃

These bump pictures are to die for. So lovely to see them, I cant wait to see how they compare to our bumps at the end. I am 21 weeks today and I am starting to feel pregnant Haha. Struggling to tie shoe laces, and getting lots of round ligament pain the last couple of days.

How is everyone else feeling?? Cant wait to see some more bump pics and scan pics!!

Been following the thread still and it’s nice to read everyone’s updates. Had my 20 week scan yesterday and everything looked perfect with our little girl. I’ve been feeling loads of movement recently too which is reassuring. Can’t believe the next time I see her will be when she’s born (unless I cave and get another private scan later on)!

I had a total meltdown last night... a good 3 hour cry caused by a cocktail of hormones, tiredness on top of the realisation that there is SO much to buy and organise and it just all got on top of me. I think this is where a helpful mum probably comes in handy.
I'm not an organised person at all and when I try to be I get myself so upset so Jordan last night gave me a good talking to and I feel a bit calmer today.

Anyone else having nightmares??? I keep dreaming that I'm being attacked.. some times I have the baby with me, some times it's just me and Jordan. I've read online it's just hormones but wondered if anyone else is suffering with crazy dreams?? xx

@djmbaker you are not alone with the crazy dreams!! Mine have been all over the place, crazy amount of nightmares, if they aren't nightmares I'm dreaming about being in labour giving birth to twins!! I'm only having 1 baby hahaha

I had my 20w scan today and all looked well! So happy and feel like we can start looking at things to buy!

As an aside, I was reading another thread on here about baby prepping and it was suggested to stock up on things to avoid having to go for big shops. It makes complete sense but I hadn’t thought of it. Now in the weekly shop I just buy an extra couple of things like toothpaste or bleach or whatever so that we’ll have a good store by Christmas. I’m also planning on making and freezing meals around about mid November time. Plus with covid it won’t probably be as simple as ‘popping to the shops’ This s my form of nesting I think 🤣😂

Had my private scan tonight and everything was perfect! Didn't cave and find out gender so is still a surprise. Turns out I actually have high posterior placenta which I'm quite happy about!

Was a lovely experience and we even got a 4d peek!

My 20 week was today too and all looked good for our wee girl 😊 scan pics are a bit fuzzy but at least she cooperated for the measurements

I'm expecting baby number 2 (2nd boy) on 26th Dec so currently 19+4. We have the 20 week scan on Tuesday.

Hi ladies. How are you all feeling today. Started looking at prams a little and my mind is blown. Have any of you started looking or even bought theirs?? Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

@Nic2908 I have the silver cross surf 3 and really like it. The bassinet is flat so baby can sleep in it over night if needed and I have the simplicity car seat which connects to the chassis.

Only thing in hindsight, now that number 2 is on the way, I might have looked at getting one that can convert into a double. DS will be 2y5 when baby arrives and is not looking ready to give up his seat any time soon 😂

I got ours online from Pramworld Winstanleys after checking out the different models in Mothercare. They offered good discounts but this was 2 years ago! Happy shopping x
