Lovely seeing all the scans. So clear and perfect, it's actually crazy to think how far we have come since the first thread.

@Nat99 buzzing about your hospital for you, don't think my trust are gonna change their minds anytime soon 😒 so we've booked a private one for the 4th and then my NHS one is 7th,if they change their minds then Jordan gets to come twice in one week haha!

@Katbaby I'm so impressed with people who don't find out, I'm the most impatient person ever I need to know everything yesterday 😂🙈 I'd love to be able to have a surprise though it would be amazing 💙❤️

Hi everyone, been working through trying to get updated! So happy everyone is getting lovely news from their scan, but I'm the same @Katbaby keeping it all a surprise!! I'm kind of tempted every now and then but not seriously so, it just passes and then I know keeping the mystery is what I want! But it's so lovely we all have a choice to do what works for us!

I'm so pleased more and more areas are letting partners in as this means things must be improving across the country! But yeah I'm not expecting that for our area. My husband and I had a private scan last week so he could see the baby, and the consultant felt definitely that Sheffield wouldn't be changing its policy anytime soon. But at least we know private is there if we want it! This is the latest picture

I've let my curiosity get the better of me girls and I've booked another well-being and gender scan for Tuesday haha... I'm going somewhere different as I'm squeezing it in before I go to a clients house so it's in her village .. it's with Ultrasound Direct. If anything I'd love a better photo where my baby isn't upside down 🙈

Just found out today that my partner will be allowed at my scan next week too! So chuffed that he can be there 😁

Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else with scans coming up that your partners will be able to come too!

My abs are really aching today! I don't think I've overdone it, not done any running for a few days and not been waterskiing since Saturday. I guess it's just everything stretching (my bump is definitely more obvious over the last few days) but it feels like I've done a massive ab workout. Anyone else got achy abs?

I have a day off so I'm hoping to nip into John Lewis today and finally have a look at the baby section. 😬

It’s scan day! I’ve just finished a week of night shifts so absolutely shattered (and getting into bed) but so excited. OH has been back at work this week so not seen him since Sunday! He’s home today! I’ve got 2 weeks off work now too!

Will keep you posted on the gender scan!

@viixie it was genuinely the best feeling walking to the car this morning. Our unit also had goodies from boots donated - a lovely ted baker bag with creams, deodorants tooth brush and paste etc. This is now my hospital wash bag for when baby arrives. Exciting times, enjoy your time off and make sure to let us know how your scan goes xx

@viixie yes hun I’m ITU! Scan was fab, they also threw in a free video to say thank you for our participation during covid peak!

Sooo.... we are team BLUE!! 💙💙💙💙 emotional and physically drained now and ready for a chilled evening and a take away! Xx

@Tink679 I'm a NICU nurse, adult trained though. How exciting ! so glad your scan went well, you have me excited for mine. Was it obvious it was a boy when he was on the screen? I'm not finding out. This will be my final child after two girls

Was it your NHS scan that gave you a free video? Did your partner get to go? Sorry I have far too many questions x

Hi girls, just got a message from my midwife.. my partner is allowed to come to my 20 week scan!! I'm in Cheshire .. so hopefully it's starting to spread throughout the country now.
My hospital is only allowing your partner to join you at the 20 week scan not the 12 though.. but hey.. we are past that one! Hope you are all ok.

@viixie aww brill! No it was window to the womb, it was when they got that specific position but they will turn the screen off if you tell them you don’t want to know. Not sure about 20 week scan yet as haven’t had an update, plus consultant appointments but they do allow FaceTime in the consultant appointment if things don’t allow partners. I wish I could wait but I like to know. Attached photos, he was very shy hiding his face but was quite happy to show his willy! 😂 typical!

@Tink679 oh wow he is a boy isn't he 😂 bless him!! Seeing the boy scans calms my worries down about mine... I got told I was having a girl, but I can't see what they see on the scan photo so I've felt a bit daft the last few days when I've said it's a girl as I haven't seen it myself... if that makes sense?! (I'm a worrier)
I'm one of these people when someone tells me it's raining.. or something is hot.. I have to double check and see for myself 😂

@djmbaker I'm the same with having to double check for myself, it drives my husband mental (usually because he's told me something and instead of taking his word for it, I need to check too)😂

John Lewis felt super stripped in the baby department at least. They had prams, but it felt a little too soon to buy one (especially without the husband getting to see them). Generally less stuff anyways (I take it from Covid opening prep) but in the whole department they had 2 clothing items for 0-3 months? And one for newborn? 😬

Same if 2-3 other stores I check out. It's like people are now hoarding baby clothes? 😬

@december2020 online seems to be better but not quite the same is it? I’ve just ordered his coming home outfit. Also order our travel system online, worst case we can always send it back and get something else.

We went for this one, it’s very similar to the top brands we were looking at but a fraction of the price, also has isofix base for car seat. I have a baby wrap which I intend to use for walks etc so won’t use the pram as much as I did with the twins. They grow so fast too that I didn’t see the point spending a fortune when it can be spent elsewhere. These things are definitely different with the second, with first babies you spend an arm and a leg because it’s all new and extra special, second time round you are a bit wiser and don’t necessarily care as much as long as you have what you need and baby is healthy and happy

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been quiet recently, been feeling a bit down as my back is really playing up and I get a really bad migraine from even a short time in the sun now so just been a bit sorry for myself!

Got my 20 week scan on Monday though and just found out my partner can come 🙌 can't wait to start getting things bought after that too!

Lovely seeing the genders, we're still keeping ours a surprise but it's very tempting to find out! Can't believe we're all nearly half way through now as well!

@calipoppy I have mine on Monday too. Can't believe how they've come round! Unfortunately my husband still can't come which is disappointing as other trusts are obviously now allowing it. Good luck!
