Seen as though it's nearly full... I've started thread 4. I wonder how many threads we get up to ❤️

Yay congrats @djmbaker #teamgirl!
Aww that is a shame @MaverickDanger you did try, don't blame yourself!
I think there's an NHS one that's offered and other providers besides NCT, I think someone mentioned Daisy something earlier in the thread?

MaverickDanger · 19/07/2020 22:12

I think it was my first hormonal meltdown @Natt99 - DH said he was amazed I’ve lasted until nearly 19 weeks for my first Grin

We’re going to look at the positive birthing company online, and then look at joining postnatal groups. Amazingly, two of my neighbours are due around the same time, and there’s quite a few babies under one on the estate, so hoping that means making friends is going to be easy enough!

We live really far from family and friends, so feeling that isolation a little at the moment. We probably won’t travel to see my family until end of August, which means 10 months since I’ve seen them, and it’s getting to me today too!

calipoppy · 19/07/2020 22:45

@MaverickDanger when is the Nct class further away due to start? Mine starts at the beginning of October and has been confirmed it will now run online instead of in person so it might be worth taking the gamble? Although I guess you want friends close by!

december2020 · 20/07/2020 18:07

@djmbaker his prominence has definitely become a bit of a joke with the family now 😂😂😂 congrats on your baby girl! 💖

Congrats absolutely everyone so far finding out (and of course everyone deciding to keep it a surprise, you've got way more will power than me)!!

I'm supposed to declutter and clear out 3 bedrooms in the next 1.5months (2-3 weeks per room), while working full time! Send help!! 😬😬😬

djmbaker · 20/07/2020 18:14

@december2020 thankyou !!! Well.. I've had the fear today, thinking what if she got it wrong 😂😂 I'm convinced I'm having a girl.. the scanner was adamant but typical me, I woke up and gave myself a worry 🤦🏻‍♀️
I have my NHS 20 week scan in 3 weeks though so not long to wait now - everyone is so excited it's a girl which is lovely.

Oh god bless you that sounds stressful!! Sending positive vibes your way 🙌🏼

Rnic1x · 20/07/2020 18:57

@djmbaker I was like this and my partner said god did you not see his willy 😂 I think it must have been a blur for me whereas he was looking at the massive screen all the time 🙈

december2020 · 21/07/2020 07:58

@djmbaker hahaha! I was the same! After we got home from the scan I kept having to double check the pictures to the point my husband was making fun of me just staring at his sonogram willy, like it was going to disappear suddenly! 😂

I've got my 20week scan at 21 weeks (so a good almost 3 weeks to wait as well). I think once that is done (and hopefully an all clear) I'll be quite relaxed for the rest of the pregnancy.

Ha my poor husband - he hates the word decluttering (almost as much as storage solutions) 😂

Has anyone started on any nursery or baby bits yet? I've got one nursery art print and that's about it 😬 probably should get a move on!

ceebee21 · 21/07/2020 08:29

@december2020 I've started on pinterest haha but not bought anything.

I also need to clear the room out....which I'm putting off!!!

Bumble84 · 21/07/2020 08:40

I wish I had clearing out to do, I weirdly love it! We only moved here last year though so we’re fairly well organised. We’ve got wallpaper and paint for the nursery because my husband wants to decorate it before the new carpet goes down. I’m trying to hold off until after my 20w scan to buy any actual baby things but it’s getting harder!

I’m 18w tomorrow and I feel like I’m finally getting a wee bump, as in it’s still there when I get up in the morning 😃 only under my belly button though so could be passed off as major bloating!!

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 09:10

@december2020 that's the thing with a boy you'd assume it's got to be obvious?? But I'd be the same as you.. Where as a girl... it's hard to tell, look for 3 lines apparently.. I have literally been studying my scan video and photos 😂😂 I've got my nhs is 3 weeks so hopefully they will reconfirm then! Love that we are all double checking though 😂😂

I haven't done a thing.. my SIL & MIL did us a cute little gender reveal on Sunday and they both bought us some gorgeous little outfits, nappies etc but I have nowhere to store them - so today's job is make lists of jobs that need to be done 😬 I'm waiting until after 20 weeks to buy anything, especially as I want extra confirmation it's a girl haha!!

Does anyone else feel totally overwhelmed with what needs to be bought?? It seems there are so many conflicting lists and info out there on what is essential and what isn't... I feel totally out of my depth 😩

calipoppy · 21/07/2020 12:45

@djmbaker yes I feel so overwhelmed! I've started using a website called gift hero where you can basically make a wish list from any website just to keep track of everything I see but no idea what I might actually need from it!

One of my friends advice was just buy the essentials because most things you can get next day via amazon if you realise you really need it!

Helski123 · 21/07/2020 13:45

This is where I feel incredibly lucky. My sister's kids are 8, 5 and 2. She hasn't got rid of anything yet so is literally giving me anything. Only thing on my list of things to buy is a baby monitor. My BIL is so excited that they can have a massive clear out 😂

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 16:52

@december2020 @Rnic1x well... my worries got the better of me today, someone on a mums group on Facebook said she was told at 16 weeks she was having a girl then at her 20 week they said boy... so, l I ended up speaking to the clinic and asking if they can reconfirm they think it's a girl.. so bless them, they looked at the scan and said yes they say girl.. and they are going to send me my scan photo later but labelled! so I can see what they see 😂 apparently the reason why it's hard for me to work out it's a girl is because it's a photo of babies bottom and bits from behind so I'm struggling to work it all out.
I feel better now I've spoken to them 🙏🏻

Rnic1x · 21/07/2020 16:55

@djmbaker omg I saw that 😂😂😂 so I watched the video of my scan and there is a definite willy 🙈

Yes!!! Definitely a willy there 😂😂
God I almost wish people wouldn't share these things.. I know it's awful etc but it doesn't half make you panic yourself and doubt everything. She spotted my baby was a girl straight away as baby is always upside down with her bum up 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'll feel better with the labelled pic I think...

Look at this photo! I mean of all bloody positions to be in 🤦🏻‍♀️

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 17:19

This is what they have sent me to explain... I think I see what they see now 😂

Rnic1x · 21/07/2020 17:19

@djmbaker yes she's a girl 😂 I know I get this is what groups are for but I panic reading some stories 😂😂

Bumble84 · 21/07/2020 17:19

@djmbaker haha, a wee acrobat! Look at her wee spine though, that’s amazing!!

Is it really so obvious if it’s a boy. I’m worried now I’ll see a penis when I don’t want to know the sex!

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 17:55

@Bumble84 I think they can hide it, it's all to do with where they put their scanner isn't it?? I'd assume?? Surely if your asking to know the gender they purposely show you that area??

I know!! The spine is amazing isn't it.. it's so fascinating to see them develop!!

december2020 · 21/07/2020 17:55

What a beauty @djmbaker and love her cosy positions in there!!
Mine seemed to have a clear willy (for comparison).

@ceebee21 my clear out starts on Thursday! Send all the help possible!

I guess I really should eventually look at prams and beds and things 😬 it just feels like I still have all the time in the world.

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 17:57

@calipoppy that's good advice!! I'll look at that website too. Because my head is fit to burst with all the info.. it doesn't help my partners cousin had a baby girl 5 weeks ago and she was given everything from a friend of hers so she keeps telling me all these random things I need and I just think well it's easy for you to say, you didn't pay for it 😂😂

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 17:59

@december2020 oh wow yes!!! You can clearly see that can't you!! Oh that makes me feel better 😍 that's a fab shot .. one for when he's 18 😂😂

december2020 · 21/07/2020 19:22

@djmbaker I'm going to have it ready for his 18th, any potential significant others he brings to mee is and maybe for his wedding day 😂😂 poor child 😂

I love your daughters long beautiful legs!

I should still be working but I'm so brain dead from pulling and analysing data that meh! Should I declutter? Hmmm... or just have a nice long lazy bath 😬

djmbaker · 21/07/2020 19:29

@december2020 oh god relax! Have a bath.. put your pjs on and call it a day.. it's half 7.. too late for a pregnant women to be decluttering 😂😂

The scanners always laugh at how long her legs are.. my partner is 6ft 3 with long legs and I'm 5ft 8 with long legs so it was bound to happen 😂😂 she does sit funny though.. she was bouncing her bum up and down at one point 🙈🙈

Haha 💯.. when he brings a new love interest home.. "let me show you his scan photo" love it!!

Natt99 · 22/07/2020 08:05

Morning all, love seeing the scan pics. Found out yesterday that they're now letting partners in for scans at my hospital 🥳

Hopefully this will mean it's nationwide so none of us have to go alone anymore 😊
