I don't think it's anything to worry about xx

Wigglebum87 · 08/08/2020 18:29

Ah I'm glad it's not just me! If I could, I'd lay on my back all the time just to feel it, I love it x

Pinktruffle · 08/08/2020 18:39

I feel baby a lot but definitely more when I'm lying down rather than walking around. I tend to feel lots of kicks when I'm on my side. I've heard they tend to sleep from the movement when we are up and about and wake up when we are stationary, not sure how true that is though.

AnxiousLady1 · 08/08/2020 19:04

@wigglebum87 Same here. I'll feel some movements when seated etc but lying on my back for a few mins is one way to definitely pick something up fairly quickly. They say lying on your left is good way to track movements but I feel it more if I lie on my right or back. So I reckon it varies based on position of the baby. I did a pregnancy yoga class earlier and we had to lie on our backs at the start and end for a few minutes at a time. I figured if we are being allowed do it in a pregnancy yoga class it's not a major issue, and noted that at both those points that's when he was deciding to make his presence known! 😂

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is well. I’m up and wide awake at 4am which is becoming the norm for me now! Just wondering if anyone else has bought the Aldi Mamia nursery furniture set? We ordered it last night ended up costing £391 for the cot, wardrobe, changing unit and a mattress! Smile

TangBloodyFastic · 09/08/2020 20:47

Hi @CoBell
I've ordered the furniture and all is good so far with the cot and changing table.. still the wardrobe to build
Make sure it you buy the fitted sheets for the cot bed you get the correct ones. They sell cot sheets and cot bed sheets. You need the 70x140 ones
I got the wrong ones but luckily I checked before I chucked them in the washer so managed to get a refund!

@TangBloodyFastic ahhh that’s good to hear! Thank you for letting me know about the cot sheets as I haven’t got them yet so I will make sure I get the correct ones Smile

bedjolly · 09/08/2020 21:25

Wow sounds like a great bargain. I know people have said Aldi stuff is really good. Let me know how you get on!

Whatinthename20 · 10/08/2020 17:49

My boobs are so sore and painful to the touch the last xouof days out of nowhere (25 weeks). Anyone else had this??

FudgeFlies · 10/08/2020 21:30

@Whatinthename20 mine aren’t sore but I’ve been leaking milk On and off the last few weeks. Not a lot but enough for it to come through to my top (without a bra). Today they were leaking several times throughout the day!! Going to have to buy some pads already! (I’m 28 weeks weds)

wannabebump · 10/08/2020 21:46

Has anyone started looking at bouncer chairs? I ordered one, then read a few awful reviews so cancelled it! What ones are people tempted by?

OP posts:
Addler · 10/08/2020 23:21

We're getting the baby björn one, I've used them before with work and I like that they're light enough for baby to be able to bounce themselves, washable, folds flat so can slide under sofa etc, not a giant plastic all singing all dancing enormous contraption, and has good resale value too.

MrsR87 · 11/08/2020 09:34

Anyone manage to get any sleep last night?

Wigglebum87 · 11/08/2020 10:06

@MrsR87 I don't feel like I did, spent most of the night trying to stay cool and fidgeting to get comfy, then just as I did it was party time in my tummy!

MillieFTM · 11/08/2020 11:08

My husband moved our spare mattress downstairs into the lounge as it's about 5degrees cooler! Soo much better! Although I still spend all day upstairs at my desk working from home boiling hot!

Still paranoid about the sleeping on your back thing...is it ok if you're propped up to like 45degrees with pillows?

wannabebump · 11/08/2020 11:41

@MrsR87 not a wink of sleep last night! Really struggling with my hips with this side sleeping stuff.

@MillieFTM I hope 45 degrees is ok, I'm doing that. I did ask the midwife at 22 weeks and she didn't really give an answer. I figure it's better than lying flat on my back! X

OP posts:
MillieFTM · 11/08/2020 12:13

That's what I thought too! By about 3am my hips ache so bad I couldn't possibly fall asleep! I can sleep sat up for a bit but it's not exactly comfy!

wannabebump · 11/08/2020 12:43

@MillieFTM I'm the exact same. I'm tired but it's stopping me sleeping!x

OP posts:
mOmShanti · 11/08/2020 14:21

Anyone else feel like baby is moving less in this crazy heat? I’m not feeling that much movement today and I’m worrying a bit ☹️

MrsR87 · 11/08/2020 15:17

@mOmShanti

My bump had been moving more at night time and a bit less in the day.

NatalieH2220 · 11/08/2020 19:05

@wannabebump I got the Joie wish bouncer. Haven't set it up yet but reviews seemed mostly good.

@MrsR87 barely any sleep. It's just so hot! We had the fan in my sons room as it was 30 degrees but didn't do much!

Wigglebum87 · 11/08/2020 22:09

Good luck to everyone attempting to sleep tonight Blush

wannabebump · 11/08/2020 22:34

Thanks @NatalieH2220

@Wigglebum87 I was just thinking the same thing! It's gonna be a struggle tonight! X

OP posts:
Pinktruffle · 11/08/2020 22:38

It is ridiculously hot. We've just had a thunderstorm and it's not cooled it down. We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom, I think it'll be on all night tonight.

wannabebump · 11/08/2020 23:19

I think we're to get a thunderstorm overnight - hopefully clear the air. 2 fans on the go in the bedroom tonight, I swear I could just melt 😂
