I think I did it at 37 last time?

My reasoning was if I go into labour before that it’s not going to be a “normal” birth scenario so the contents of the bag would be quite different from a full term labour. Maybe 35/36 is more sensible, though DS didn’t come until 42 so I still had plenty of time!

Wigglebum87 · 24/07/2020 15:54

Can someone reassure a FTM please, I'm getting movement, but really low down, like under my pubic line, it feels I could wet myself or something at any moment, is this anything to worry about?

Addler · 24/07/2020 16:40

@Wigglebum87 I've had the same thing this week, I hated it and it felt awful, I didn't know it could feel that low and that deep and it literally felt like I was about to start having a wee or that the baby was trying to punch its way out of my vagina.

It only lasted a couple of days and at my scan yesterday to check the face baby had moved bum down and head and feet are up near my ribs so it's more comfortable now!

Hopefully baby will move for you soon!

Wigglebum87 · 24/07/2020 16:45

@Addler it does feel like something is trying to escape, luckily it's when I'm sat down or laid at the moment, it just wasn't pleasant when I was out in public today, I was scared to get up!

I'm glad it's not just me!

Sweetpea1985 · 24/07/2020 23:12

Lying here wide awake, because our neighbour upstairs has got the tv on really loud, and every time I do try to lay down the baby has a fidgeting fit lol

Sweetpea1985 · 24/07/2020 23:14

Also, does anyone have itchy legs??

Wigglebum87 · 24/07/2020 23:23

@Sweetpea1985 I've had itchy arms and chest the last couple of days

Sweetpea1985 · 24/07/2020 23:31

Urgh its driving me nuts! They're not even dry just itchy.
Just something else to stop me sleeping 🙄 along with DH who has now started snoring 😫

BeMorePacific · 25/07/2020 04:21

These pregnancy nightmares are absolutely ruining sleep at the moment.
Is anyone else suffering with crazy dreams? x

Fredthespider · 25/07/2020 07:00

@Sweetpea1985 and @Wigglebum87 I’d recommend mentioning it to your midwife. There is a liver condition caused by pregnancy where the main symptom is itchiness, especially when it’s itchy not where the skin is stretching (my bump is awful if I don’t keep on top of the moisturiser!)

Missworry92 · 25/07/2020 08:34

@BeMorePacific I seem to be having really weird dreams 🙈 it's not just nightmares, some are just plain weird 😅

wannabebump · 25/07/2020 08:58

@BeMorePacific odd dreams and nightmares here too!

OP posts:
BeMorePacific · 25/07/2020 09:02

@wannabebump & @Missworry92
Mine are literally horrific, and the worst dreams I’ve ever had. It’s awful.
I have to lie awake afterwards and think of all nice things to clear my head! x

Wigglebum87 · 25/07/2020 09:13

@Fredthespider Mine was the tops of my arms, so maybe my bingo wings are growing from no gym! It seems to have calmed now.

@BeMorePacific I had a really weird dream last night, I was involved in all sorts of crime with loads of people from my past who don't know each other, it couldn't be further from real life!

I've woken up this morning with, what I like to think, is bumps ass in the air! One side of my stomach is raised Grin

MoreGinPlease2020 · 25/07/2020 10:32

Crazy dreams here too (when I'm not awake wrestling with my pregnancy pillow). I dreamt I was kidnapped by my horrible ex the other night. 😕

Pinktruffle · 25/07/2020 10:52

I've been having wierd, and to lower the tone a little, sometimes very racy dreams since the first trimester. Luckily no nightmares yet.

BeMorePacific · 25/07/2020 17:56

@Pinktruffle wheyhey... is love a racy dream right now 😂

wannabebump · 25/07/2020 18:47

At how many weeks do you establish a pattern for movements?

I have an anterior placenta, ive had some movements from about 20 weeks.

2 days ago I had what I would say was my "normal" movements (can't say "kicks" but like bubbles popping), yesterday was like every 2 hours throughout the day and strongest I'd felt them yet, today has been a quieter day. I've now had fresh orange juice, a packet of crisps and some chocolate and there's much more "bubbles" going on. The hospital maternity app says from 24 weeks to note movement times to see a pattern form.

I'm 24+2 and FTM - when can I expect to find my pattern? X

Sorry if this grosses you out, but is our discharge supposed to be this colour???

November 2020 babies - thread 8!
Pinktruffle · 25/07/2020 19:02

@wannabebump I've been feeling movements since 16 weeks (22 + 3 now) and there has been days where I have loads of movement and days where I hardly have any. When I had a chat with the midwife she said not to worry about it at this stage, patterns and counting kicks is only really expected from 28 weeks.

Pinktruffle · 25/07/2020 19:05

@Sweatpea1985 I've had seen suspiciously coloured discharge at times but it's not quite been brown more like a dark/dirty cream colour. I can't tell from your pic if it's the same but looks similar to yours. If you are worried, maybe try and get hold of a midwife?

wannabebump · 25/07/2020 19:56

Thanks @Pinktruffle, that's really helpful x

OP posts:
Anotherboy · 25/07/2020 20:10

@Sweetpea1985 I've had this from pretty early on, not much but it happens once or twice a week and is a similar, almost rust colour. Never happened with my first. I would say if it's new or you're worried there's nothing wrong with asking for some professional advice, but it seems to be normal for me.

Sweetpea1985 · 25/07/2020 20:50

Thank you both for the reassurance, I contacted my midwife to no avail as usual still haven't had a reply from her. I just didn't want to google it and cause unnecessary stress

Pink15 · 25/07/2020 21:43

Just a rant to say I'm struggling with maternity clothes so bad 😭😭 I'm so sick of ordering and returning!! I decided I'd treat myself and go with a Seraphine order as everyone says how amazing it is but I've looked and personally I find the styles more suitable for older women. So annoying!!!!! I just want decent quality and by that I mean not see through eg boohoo, and also not completely black or fitting like a tent!! Sorry that's all .....
