@Sweetpea1985 defo don't google it! I'm sure it varies person to person but I've had some weird and wonderful discharge some my positive test. Your midwife might come back to you tomorrow for peace of mind, but if worried call the triage line x

@Pink15 I feel your pain! I was in the exact same boat 2 weeks ago and was so fed up of ordering online and returning, along with the longer delivery and return times at the moment. I took a trip to a shopping centre and got a few bits in H&M and Next. It was bliss to actually see the sizing to make an educated guess at fitting! All the other biggies such as debenhams, topshop, Dorothy Perkins, M&S were all order online only. It was only the really big next that had maternity stuff but if you're near a clearance store, that was my godsend! X

@wannabebump

My midwife said there should be a definite pattern by 28 weeks but that they can keep increasing to 32 weeks.

BeMorePacific · 25/07/2020 23:29

@Pink15 I feel your pain!!
I found H&M and new look to be quite good. I was also surprised at the quality from George @ Asda.
cxx

Pinktruffle · 25/07/2020 23:35

I actually love the stuff I've got from George at Asda, they are just basics like leggings but super comfy. Dorothy Prrkins has lots too but ive only ordered joggers and jeggings from them.

It is frustrating though. Guessing sizes, not being able to see quality is a pain in the arse.

BabyKnighty1 · 26/07/2020 07:57

Has anyone been getting rib pain when sitting for too long? Really painful and having to sit certain ways or stand for a while to get rid of it

Rolly123 · 26/07/2020 08:39

@Pink15 another vote for H&M and George at Asda here.

I've also found New Look stuff to be surprisingly nice quality and fit.

@Rolly123 @Pinktruffle @BeMorePacific @wannabebump
Thanks ladies! I've not tried George so will look at that next 😃

Also struggling with mst clothes and none of my shops in town stock them in store. I have ordered some lovely mat stuff from Jojo Mama Bebe as they have a good sale on right now. Really good quality, I fit in my normal size and came quickly. I am living in my short dungerees at the moment, so comfy!

Another vote for JoJo. The quality is great and by far fits me the best out of everything I’ve bought.

Anyone else struggling to agree on a name?! DH hates my top 3 choices and I am very meh on 2 of his and vetoed the third. We both love DS1 name but it seems the only one! Argh, hate this one not having a name yet

Apfel · 26/07/2020 10:28

Hey ladies!
So happy to have joined this Forum. I'm a first time mum and due Nov 15th. We are having a girl Smile

Pink15 · 26/07/2020 10:32

Thanks will look at JoJo too 😊

@FilthyforFirthyes we're struggling for a name!! I thought I'd have one as soon as I was pregnant as I love being organised but it's a lot harder than we thought!

MrsR87 · 26/07/2020 11:10

We’re having a boy and there’s only one name we both like. Hopefully he suits it when he comes out.

wannabebump · 26/07/2020 11:41

@Apfel congrats! Hope you're keeping well x

@FilthyforFirth We're not close to deciding either. I do think part of the problem is I'm so set on a particular name but DH says no. We didn't decide on DS's name until I was 36/37 weeks so suspect the same will happen this time!

HarrietM87 · 27/07/2020 11:01

We haven’t decided either. I’d really like to try to avoid popular or trendy names as I have a very common name (it isn’t Harriet!) and didn’t like it. But my favourite name is an Irish one that is difficult to spell (Ailbhe), and when anglicised (Alva) fits a lot of the name trends I wanted to avoid (Ava, Eva, Isla, Evie etc all so popular now - though lovely!)...so basically stuck!

Pinktruffle · 27/07/2020 11:05

Alva is a pretty unique name though, it's literally the first time I've ever heard it so I wouldn't worry about it being lumped in with Ava, Evie and ilk

HarrietM87 · 27/07/2020 11:10

Really @Pinktruffle? That’s interesting - I’ve always been aware of the Irish version so have no perspective! I think Alba is becoming quite popular as well.

HarrietM87 · 27/07/2020 11:11

This is a useful resource for checking name trends if anyone is interested!
names.darkgreener.com/

Pinktruffle · 27/07/2020 11:14

I'm Yorkshire born and bred and have never come across the name there, currently living in the midlands and never heard it here either. I'm guessing it's more popular in Ireland? It worth baring in mind, I've worked in high schools for the last 15 years so have exposure to A LOT of names!

Pinktruffle · 27/07/2020 11:21

Ethnically, I'm Indian so most of the names I'm thinking of are fairly low on the list. I'm trying to be somewhat unique but it's hard when so many names just remind you of kids in school!
We don't know what we are having but I had a dream where we had a baby girl called Daya and I do really like that name (and dont have any students with that name), I've got tons of boys names on the list and not settled on one I love yet.

FilthyforFirth · 27/07/2020 11:30

Glad to see it's not just me. Like @NatalieH2220 I think I am wedded to my choices so finding it hard to agree to any others.

Our criteria is nothing too common or traditional but also nothing too 'out there'. That is a very small list! There is a name we both like but it is so unusual that I worry about commiting to it. It is quite long, though the shortened version only has 4 letters. I worry that he will hate us for saddling him with an unusual name (only 4 called it in 2018!), he will never buy anything with his name on it etc etc.

I might be overthinking it...

Pinktruffle · 27/07/2020 11:33

I have a fairly unique name, only ever met 2 others with the same name as me and I love it and always have.

Oatmilk1 · 27/07/2020 11:36

Oh names are tough aren't they?
I have a difficult Irish name, but have always loved it - helps that my surname is straightforward. We need a name that works well in english & german pronunciation and goes with the double barrelled surname... so that pretty much rules out difficult irish first names for our child!

Does anyone have that bra size measuring link that someone put into one of the older threads ?
