@Pink15

Best to check with your HR as it probably depends both on:

  • whether or not you have taken enough statutory leave for the year
  • what your company policy is (eg. Mine says I have to take my leave beforehand)
Pink15 · 11/07/2020 17:59

@Oatmilk1 Thankyou will check!

I've been missing a while so haven't even had time to read what I've missed.
Been really struggling with my mental health this week, everything is just getting really on top of me.
Me and DH are just arguing about stupid stuff, and I know it's all down to me and my stupid hormones but doesnt make it easier!
God I just want a glass of wine and a cigarette to relax, only 4 months to wait 🙄😔
Sorry rant over

Southeastmama · 12/07/2020 18:04

Hello

New to the group! 😀 lovely hearing all your scan news. I am now 22 weeks with our first baby. I don’t have a midwife appointment until 28 weeks. Everything I’m reading says first time mums should have another one at 25 weeks. Unsure if it is missing because of corona. Does anyone else know? Thanks for your help!

MissingMo · 12/07/2020 18:36

Sorry you've been feeling like that @Sweetpea1985. I really hope things improve for you and you feel better soon. I've had mood swings galore. DP knows to mostly ignore them these days

MrsR87 · 12/07/2020 18:47

@Southeastmama
I am getting an appointment at 25 weeks. As you say, we are supposed to get one but I think the provisions are varying massively up and down the country at the moment due to COVID. Worth calling to find out if you’re unsure.

I have finally started to feel my little man moving around in the past week or so, so happy. I know some of us were concerned about this as others were feeling babies so much earlier...I was 21 weeks so quite a while after some of the others. Hope that puts some people’s minds at rest 🥰

HarrietM87 · 12/07/2020 19:11

I had one booked in for 25 weeks and then they cancelled it when they realised I’m not a FTM 🤣. So far I’ve had phone appointments for booking and at 16 weeks and my first face to face appointment I’ll be 28 weeks.

Sweetpea1985 · 12/07/2020 19:31

@MissingMo he tries to mostly, but today I was just inconsolable and got into a right state, even though he was giving lots of useful suggestions I just got myself into a blubbering mess and I've not been able to get myself out of it all day.
I just cried because I knocked my pants down the back of the radiator with my fat ass walking past the radiator trying to change the bed which was a mission in itself 😓😭

MissingMo · 12/07/2020 19:50

@Sweetpea1985 its the littlest things that can set you off. Its okay, you can have a rough day today and hopefully tomorrow and onwards will be better

Lobster21 · 12/07/2020 22:24

Anyone else around 23 weeks and totally starving every night! I'm trying not to go mad with food but so hungry every day after 9pm! I'll eat a banana and then 20 minutes later the hunger pangs start again. Its driving me mad HmmSmile

Krisnov2020 · 12/07/2020 22:37

@Southeastmama I have another at 24 weeks but its just a phone call one. Again not sure if that's just because of covid or not

Sweetpea1985 · 12/07/2020 23:02

@Lobster21 I'm a couple of weeks behind you but yes, evenings I'm starving! Not so much during the day.

Pinktruffle · 13/07/2020 00:36

I now have a box of crackers next to the bed because I wake up in the night so hungry that I can't get back to sleep! I'm 20+3 so earlier than you @Lobster21. I'm actually starving right now (it's 12.30am) but refuse to because I've not long brushed my teeth and I had a massive evening meal so shouldn't be hungry!

Lobster21 · 13/07/2020 08:25

@Sweetpea1985 same, I'm ok during the day. So weird.

@Pinktruffle that's proactive thinking. I'm going to keep some breakfast bars or something in the bedroom too.

Thanks both, it's always reassuring to know it isn't just me being greedy Grin

Bluebell2020 · 13/07/2020 17:13

@Lobster21 I'm 20+3 and these past two weeks my appetite has gone through the roof! I will have an enormous tea, pudding and then about an hour later I'm searching for chocolate. Just wish I wanted healthy food but literally all I want is chocolate, biscuits and crisps!

This time last week I was worried because I wasn't gaining any weight.. I think that'll soon change!!!

Redbellblue · 13/07/2020 19:46

Hey,

Hope someone can help, I've been following the thread but only posted once. I'm 21+4 and the last couple of days I've been having an achy pain in my ribs both sides, anyone else? I have low papp-a and I'm a bit worried it's something more serious that's all

Anotherboy · 13/07/2020 19:58

I had this on my right side about a week ago for a few days (I'm 23+2 now). Found undoing my bra amd sitting up straight helped. It seems to have passed now, I just put it down to one of those weird ways that pregnancy is changing my body! However, it wasn't unbearable just very uncomfortable achey.

Anotherboy · 13/07/2020 19:59

I'd totally convinced myself I had blood clots or something, such a drama queen!

Jellycat2020 · 13/07/2020 21:38

Hi girls, new here 👋 live in Worcestershire, first baby girl due 14th November, so just over 22 weeks and very excited! Had a rough time first trimester with bad nausea, vomiting and fatigue but hopefully settled down now (other than yesterday bizarrely?!). Feeling our little girl move loads now and husband has felt her too which he loves! The cat is not too sure... 😂

Lobster21 · 13/07/2020 22:03

@Bluebell2020 I'm definitely not in danger of not gaining enough weight BlushCake trying to control what I eat though!

MrsR87 · 13/07/2020 22:07

@Jellycat2020
Welcome! My little boy has been super wiggly tonight and my cat was sitting on my belly. He clearly felt all the baby movement as he went into what I can only describe as a ‘hyper purr’. I think that means he likes it, but who knows with cats! 🤣🤣🤣

eleanorsos · 13/07/2020 22:16

@Jellycat2020 Welcome! Another baby girl due 14th Nov over here, and a suspicious cat to match 😂 here's hoping for a nice smooth second half! X

Jellycat2020 · 13/07/2020 22:22

@MrsR87 and @eleanorsos I think our cat knows something's going on - since very early on, he's been super cuddly. But I'm just waiting till baby kicks him in the head! 🤣

MrsR87 · 13/07/2020 22:26

@Jellycat2020
I think my male cat knew before I did. He’s being very clingy and never sits with my husband now, only me. My female cat on the other hand won’t come anywhere near me!

Redbellblue · 14/07/2020 10:43

Thanks for the advice! I could do to invest in some new bra's if I'm honest so you may be on to something there! I'm a worrier too haha
