Hello ladies! Thanks for the second thread - I was missing the first one! Just introduced myself on another Feb thread and then saw this one with familiar names :)

I'm 8 weeks in next day or so hopefully and have first scan on Monday- fingers crossed! Got a week off work now and relieved to make it through the last 4 weeks of work without working knowing - so exhausted and nauseated and was sick on Thursday. I'm hoping the scan and some rest will do the trick this week.

How are you all doing? Best of luck x

Muriel84 · 27/06/2020 21:57

@IamC I had the same thing diagnosed on a scan at 5+1. I’ve had two miscarriages previously and had no idea about it until this pregnancy cos Id never been scanned before. Mine is subseptate, so has a notch in the top (it’s not in two halves). Google sent me into a complete spiral of doom...

Having my next scan on Tuesday. Going to ask a bit more about it.

That’s interesting that your mum had it cos from what I’ve read it’s not genetic!

EmBrum · 27/06/2020 22:02

@Muriel84 and @IamC oh sorry to hear this - I'm sure they can manage it for you both- got everything crossed x

Dylansophia1 · 27/06/2020 22:16

Hi girls, i have no more cramps, just a few twinges, but still brown spotting which is giving me bad anxiety😞 EPU won't see me until next week when im almost 7 weeks so peeing on a stick every single morning to reassure myself. Hope you are all keeping well xx

Tottee99 · 28/06/2020 03:14

@IamC I’m booked in for a scan soon I will be 7+2, just wondering if you managed to see a heartbeat? The Sonographer said we would be able to see it but not hear it, I’m just really hoping we can. Glad your baby is healthy!

OkyDoke · 28/06/2020 05:34

I'm worried now, it's been a week since I took a test and got 2 to 3 weeks, took another today and it still says the same. Should be 3 weeks plus by now.

misssoaps · 28/06/2020 06:58

@OkyDoke how far along are you? I've read that you have to be at least 21dpo to get a 3+ on those tests. I had a 2-3 a couple weeks ago but I'm too scared to do another incase it's not 3+

OkyDoke · 28/06/2020 07:01

@misssoaps I should be 5 +4 today. Not sure when I ovulated so not sure if I'm 21 dpo or not?

OP posts:
misssoaps · 28/06/2020 07:09

Yeah I'd wait till you are at least 6 weeks to expect a 3+. Honestly wouldn't worry.

OkyDoke · 28/06/2020 07:24

Okay thank you @misssoaps that's really reassuring, thank you. Will try another test in a week or so I think!

IamC · 28/06/2020 08:33

@Tottee99 yes we could see it but as you said, we couldn't hear it at this stage.

Cuwins · 28/06/2020 08:41

LamC I was wondering that too. Booked a scan yesterday for when I am 8+1 and was hoping we would be able to see it then

Em994 · 28/06/2020 08:49

hi everyone! Can I join?
I'm 7+3 days (I think) I had a chemical pregnancy the month before I concieved this baby. I had an early private scan last Sunday who measured me at 6 weeks bang on, it was transabdominal rather than the vaginal ultrasound. We saw the heart beat which was 117 but now I'm so worried, sunday-thursday I felt sick esp in the morning up until dinner time. Since then all I feel is nipple soreness and I cant bare to think about certain foods with the occasional cramps and back ache. Im worrying myself because I carried a basket around the shopping centre yday which was pretty heavy lol only for about 10 mins! My partner then had a go at me lol. Am I being a drama queen and panicking for no reason? 😂 I thought after this 6 week scan I could calm down but nope! Haha xx

SMT137 · 28/06/2020 10:59

Congratulations @Em994! I’m 7+2! Is this your first?
I got quite anxious as I lifted a heavy table without thinking last week...looked up lots of stuff online and realised that the embryo is very well protected by the sac and pubic bone at this stage which is reassuring !
My symptoms - sore boobs, mild nausea - are very on and off but also read widely that this is normal. Do need to stop looking so much up online but it’s a stressful time isn’t it- fingers crossed, all going well, I’ll relax after the first scan!

Em994 · 28/06/2020 11:13

@SMT137 ahh that's very reasuring thankyou! This is our first baby. What about you? We are very close so we will be having the 12 week scan around the same time! Its so hard not to google and overtime things. How long have you been trying for ? Xxx

SMT137 · 28/06/2020 11:29

@Em994 our first too. Had a missed miscarriage last year, found out at a 10 week private scan. Had conceived 1st month of trying that time, but 5 months this time, how about you? Have you booked your first midwife appointment yet?

Em994 · 28/06/2020 12:01

@SMT137 Ahh I'm so sorry about your missed miscarriage. I just had to google it because I've never heard of that before! Did you start trying again straight after? I've been on contraception for 10 years, came off the pill in december expecting it to take months even a year to get out of my system. I found out i was 4 weeks pregnant in April then miscarried just before 5 weeks, i think that's classed as a chemical pregnancy then fell pregnant straight after.
Do you feel different to your last pregnancy? Have you booked another private scan? Yes, its booked for the 7th July what about you??? Xxx

SMT137 · 28/06/2020 12:26

Feels pretty similar this time round, although I’ve had some cramping which I don’t remember having before. Midwife is confirming appointment date tomorrow...not sure if it’ll be in person or over the phone. I’ve actually been a bit more chilled than I thought I would be - I‘m taking being able to get pregnant again as a positive! I’ll have a private scan first if COVID restrictions still mean partner can’t come into NHS one.
I think it’s great you’ve had a scan and heard a heartbeat ! X

Mermaidlagoon · 28/06/2020 12:31

Hello hope everyone is well. I've been checking the other thread every day for the last 4 days wondering why nobody was posting anymore turned out it was closed haha. Had a viability private scan today and great news I'm measuring 8 + 3 weeks (even though last period was only 7 + 3 weeks ago) and very strong heartbeat found though abdominal scan didn't need the transvaginal one. Very happy and relieved xx

Em994 · 28/06/2020 12:44

@Mermaidlagoon that's brilliant news ! Congratulations!!! Did they tell you how fast the heart beat was ?

@SMT137 do you live in UK??? My mums a midwife and she said so far partners aren't aloud in the scan room. But my partner was aloud in the private scan last week with us both wearing a mask.

Xxx

Mermaidlagoon · 28/06/2020 13:27

They didn't say although might be on the notes they gave me, just said it was very strong xx

Thegirlhasnoname · 29/06/2020 07:49

I’m 8 weeks exactly today and woke up looking like I have a bump. I know you tend to show earlier with subsequent pregnancies but the bloat is strong right now! Luckily I don’t plan on seeing anybody other than my husband and toddler today 😂

Em994 · 29/06/2020 08:08

@Thegirlhasnoname haha that's funny! My bloating is so bad too. How old is your toddler??? Xxx

Thegirlhasnoname · 29/06/2020 08:47

@em994 she’s 20 months so at least she isn’t at the age where she will call me out for looking a bit more round today 😂

Em994 · 29/06/2020 09:14

@Thegirlhasnoname haha very true! How are you feeling other than being bloated ? Have you seen your midwife yet? Xxx
