Thanks @TTCgee

@Dylansophia1 I'm in a similar position to you, just had some brown spotting. It's so scary isn't it.

I've read some positive stories that this could all be normal, so trying to stay positive until it I hear from a doctor it's definitely over 🤞🏼

Peach1204 · 25/06/2020 20:45

@Thegirlhasnoname thank you! I have a little bit of annual leave already booked but if I don't take anymore I can finish on the 12th Feb and be paid my normal wage for the next two pay packets (EDD 24/2) so I'm hoping I won't need to take anymore. If things all go ok I think I might need extra appointments anyway as I am classed as obese so assume more monitoring. I'm still furloughed at the moment, can work from home so hoping that's what I can do. If I tell them I know they would understand but want to leave it until I have to! Xxx

TTCgee · 25/06/2020 21:04

Has anyone else had any bleeding after sex?
I have today and it's freaked me out a bit. Never normally happens to me! 😭

Muriel84 · 25/06/2020 21:37

@Dylansophia1 I had brown discharge at 5+1. I thought I was miscarrying as had two prior to this pregnancy. I was scanned and it was ok. The sonographer showed me the discharge on the probe and told me it was totally normal. She said most women get more than that! (Sorry tmi). It’s just old implantation blood working it’s way out. I’m having a viability scan next Tuesday at 7+1.

Muriel84 · 25/06/2020 21:38

@TTCgee I’ve read that’s normal cos your cervix has more blood going to it in pregnancy. I’m scared of having sex for that reason tho! I’ll freak out if I see blood.

Mitchell0510 · 25/06/2020 22:17

Hey ladies,

I'm 6+1. This my second pregnancy but the first was a blighted ovum back in September last year. I'm terrified of a scan incase it's the same, no bleeding or any indication of issues last time or now. My symptoms are much stronger so feeling a little more positive but this wait is excruciating. Would you recommend a private scan prior to my dating one?

Tottee99 · 25/06/2020 23:03

Hi everyone, I’m due february, 4 weeks and 5 days. I’ve been having light cramping for the last week on and off, like subtle period pains. Has anyone else? I’m so excited and love reading everyone’s comments! I spent a long time on TTC threads so this is a new one for me!

Tottee99 · 25/06/2020 23:13

@Mitchell0510 I am booked in for a private scan at 7 weeks 2 days as a viability check. Then I can tell my employer, due to the covid I need a risk assessment. I also just want it for my own peace of mind, 12 weeks is a long time to wait

Bobbins88 · 26/06/2020 02:53

Hi everyone I'm 32, just got my bfp last week, this is my first ever pregnancy, Iv got adenomyosis which puts me at a slightly higher risk of miscarriages Confused I think I'm due Feb 2021 however my periods have been irregular my whole life and even the midwife was confused by my dates lol, had a phone consultation and got first proper face to face on Saturday morning and get bloods taken then too ,
My question is what will the midwife ask? And what should I ask her?

Thanks

Bobbins88 · 26/06/2020 02:56

Hi yeah iv had cramping on and off and some times a bit worse when I move or twist but the midwife was unconcerned she said unless the pains don't resolve if I take paracetamol, which I haven't had to do!

Mitchell0510 · 26/06/2020 05:23

Thanks @Tottee99 I'll try to find somewhere and book a viability scan too.
Otherwise no cramps yet but massive headaches! I'm also so hungry, and I feel the most sick if I let myself get too hungry. A good excuse to snack Wink

Haha I only feel nausea when I'm hungry too
misssoaps · 26/06/2020 08:13

Only just seen this. Was on the other thread! This is my 5th baby, I'm 31. Due date is 10/02. Have a scan booked in a couple weeks! I feel sick, but I always feel sick when pregnant! Hope everyone is doing well.

Rainbow5SF · 26/06/2020 08:21

@lucyinthe thinking of you. Your anxiety must be thru the roof. I do not know enough to comment but sending hugs x

Thegirlhasnoname · 26/06/2020 08:29

@Bobbins88 if it is your booking appointment then the midwife will be asking about family medical history, your family history, and she will ask where you want to give birth (so she can register you at that hospital for scans). It’s lots of form filling out so nothing too exciting

SMT137 · 26/06/2020 09:04

Hello everyone, I’m 32 and completely new to mumsnet! I’m 7 weeks today, second pregnancy, but first was a mmc in November. I thought I would be a nervous wreck during this time as in previous pregnancy had no symptoms of a mc which was found at a 10 week private scan, but I’m actually doing ok. I find it reassuring that I was able to get pregnant again.
Does anyone know whether partners are allowed back into scan appointments now? I heard that due to COVID they weren’t 😒. All going well, my scan won’t be until early August, but I would definitely need him there!

Dylansophia1 · 26/06/2020 09:16

@lucyinthe good luck this morning 🙏🏼 Hopefully everything will be ok ❤️

@Muriel84 thanks so much for sharing, it helped put my nerves at ease. I had a great sleep last night, no cramps and barely any brown discharge this morning. Praying that it was just old implantation blood 🙏🏼 xx

Thegirlhasnoname · 26/06/2020 09:16

@SMT137 I think it all depends on which hospital trust you’re with as I’ve heard that some are allowing 1 guest to scans now but others aren’t. I’m keeping an eye on my trusts maternity Facebook page to see if they give an update but ,like you, my first week scan wont be until the back end of July/early so hoping they will have changed the rules by then.

Congrats by the way ☺️

SMT137 · 26/06/2020 09:33

Thank you - and congratulations to you too ! I’ve just checked the FB page and they aren’t 😢 ...really hope that changes. After the horrendous news in my last scan I don’t think I could cope without him being with me!

Thegirlhasnoname · 26/06/2020 10:47

I’m pretty sure private scans are still allowing guests so you could always have one of those before the NHS one, just to make sure all is well?

SMT137 · 26/06/2020 11:02

Yes I’ve just seen a local one that is so I think I will do that :-)

lucyinthe · 26/06/2020 11:39

Hi ladies, just got back from scan. Nothing confirmed, can't see anything in my uterus but can see the lining is really thick. Small cyst on the ovary I ovulated from. No fluid anywhere which they said they probably would see if I was having an ectopic. So at the moment they have diagnosed me as 'Pregnancy of unknown location' and I've got to go back Monday for bloods to see if HCG has gone up.

Nurse said from current HCG level and scan results it looks like I could be 4 weeks preg, but my positive test was last Tuesday which would normally indicate I'm further than 4 weeks.

My head is well and truly fucked! We still have the private scan booked for tomorrow I'm now just trying to decide whether to go for that. Could much change in 24 hours? Is there any point?

Rainbow5SF · 26/06/2020 11:41

@lucyinthe I'm not surprised your head is fucked.
The nurse sounds positive tho?? I don't know what to suggest hun x

Mitchell0510 · 26/06/2020 13:04

@lucyinthe I can completely relate to your situation. Honestly I would wait for your next NHS scan as nothing will change development wise within 24hours. I'm assuming the private scan isn't cheap too. A really hard wait, I know as I've been through it myself but you just need to give it a little more time. Worth noting that if you have a tilted uterus you can measure 1-2 weeks behind in early scans. Hope this helps and best of luck x

Stef92 · 26/06/2020 13:31

@SMT137 I spoke to a midwife on the phone last week and they told me I would have to attend all appointments, other than the birth, on my own due to Covid but obviously things are changing all the time, my husband hopes he'll be able to come to the second scan assuming there's no second spike with the restrictions being relaxed. Booking in appointment will be over the phone.Won't even get to meet my midwife until week 28. I live in the North East of England but it might be different elsewhere.
