@Firsttymmum worse thing is, I got this 2 days before my AF.
This was my FRER progression from tomorrow, the lines were so strong.
@Xx40yearsyoungxx I had an early scan booked for 17th but not sure I need it now 😔

@spinksy9 - thinking of you x x x

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 09:41

@Spinksy9 wow so strong if you got 1-2 weeks. have you had a proper period now? Definitely take another test in a week just to make sure hun.
💕

Spinksy9 · 02/07/2020 09:44

So strong! I wouldn't have got my Hope's up had they not been so strong. It looks like my usual AF. Just have to wait it out I guess xx

Hopesandrainbows · 02/07/2020 09:44

Anyone getting light period like cramps? Today I have lower backache and slight period like cramps on left side. X

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 09:46

@Hopesandrainbows yes , i had that at the beginning and still get little cramps now and I’m 5+5. Tbh I think some pains are because I’m so bloated 😅 do you have bloating ?

Hopesandrainbows · 02/07/2020 09:50

Yes I was super bloated yesterday but not today. It just feels like I'm about to have a period any minute. Like dull ache on my left groin/ pelvic area. I wish I didn't get so worried but it's so hard after you've experienced loss. I'm dreading scan and blood test tomorrow 🤪🙈

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 09:54

@Hopesandrainbows I know it’s definitely is so hard . Just really got to try and be positive because if you worry it can make things worst. Fingers crossed for you lovely , how far on are you ? Sorry I have ready this all before in the chat but forgot 🤦🏼‍♀️

BookishEm · 02/07/2020 09:56

@MrsBlue1986

  • **Is this your first pregnancy!? Yes 🤰🏼
  • **How old are you/where from? I’m 25 (26 when baby will be here) and from Glasgow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  • **What DPO (days post ovulation) are you!? I think I’m 19 DPO but I’m 5+1 weeks pregnant 🤰🏼❤️
  • **Any weird symptoms!?? Just what others are saying - constipation, cramps, aversion to coffee and my boobs are a bit sore too 🙄😂

And I’m a teacher and haven’t told my school yet. We’re on holiday here but def think I’ll need to say before we go back as first week back is my 12 week scan and I think she’ll need to rejig things for me and 100% need to do more paperwork like a risk assessment cause of the current situation!

Hopesandrainbows · 02/07/2020 09:57

@Firsttymmum I'm only 4 weeks and 2 days at the moment xxx

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 10:09

@Hopesandrainbows sounds exactly how I felt at that time ...exciting ! ❤️

Hopesandrainbows · 02/07/2020 10:16

🤞 @Firsttymmum
I love this group as it gives you the reassurance you need when you're at your most anxious. I'll be glad when we all make it past 12 weeks so we can all chill a bit. 😅 it's such an up and down rollercoaster isn't it?! It's sad that I have to go on my own to have bloods and scan due to COVID. I hope by the time we all have our 3 month scan, our partners/ someone can come with us!

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 10:21

@Firsttymmum absolutely to be honest I never thought about being anxious whilst pregnant until it happened. I have to say I’m better now and will be once I get my scan at 12 weeks. I know I’m hoping my partner can come in at 12 weeks as it’s our first baby so it’s exciting . I think it’s terrible that you aren’t allowed anyone in to be honest. You both live in same household and if you were getting bad news that’s terrible to find out on your own. Bloody covid😂 💕

Hopesandrainbows · 02/07/2020 10:31

Exactly! I can't understand how pubs are allowed to open yet my husband can't come and support me at my scan 🤷🏻‍♀️

AnonGlasgow · 02/07/2020 10:38

@Firsttymmum and @hopesandraimbows I'm hoping my husband will be able to come to my 12 week scan in August. In Scotland they're allowing visitors into hospitals from the 13th of July so hopefully they'll use a bit or common sense and allow one person to accompany during a scan.

This is our first pregnancy and both feeling very anxious and wanting to enjoy scans together. We're booked in for a private scan a week on Saturday when I'll be 7+1 and hoping to see a heartbeat to just get some reassurance 💖

bubblybon20 · 02/07/2020 10:49

Just did this test this morning, only 4 + 3, is it normal for the control line to be so faint? Or is it a faulty test? 🤦🏻‍♀️ never had it before. I actually thought it was upside down then started freaking 🙄

BookishEm · 02/07/2020 10:52

@AnonGlasgow @Hopesandrainbows @Firsttymmum I’m really hoping we can have partners for the scans but booked an early one privately just in case. My main worry just now is if partners are still not allowed in during early labour. I think my anxiety will be through the roof of my husband has to leave me in hospital until active labour. I think it be more scary just on our own with your own thoughts and worries!

Fredthefrog · 02/07/2020 11:08

Agree about partners at scans. This is our second but my husband just realised he wont be able to attend if things stay the same and is a bit miffed. Can see the reasoning though as I was in very close proximity to other mums and their partners, children, extended families while waiting and that is probably the thinking. I even had to stand for a bit once as none of the partners would get up to let me sit down. Better treatment on the tube!

Tecalina · 02/07/2020 11:13

Wow, so much to catch up on in such a short amount of time!

@Hopesandrainbows Please stop testing for a few days! I hate to think you're overly stressing yourself out 😊 Think of it as a challenge 😂

@MrsBlue1986 We told our parents when we found out, purely because we'll need the support of anything goes wrong! I also told my best mate as she's a GP and I thought I'd need her help!

@Xx40yearsyoungxx Very few symptoms here too, at 5+6! Slight ache in the boobs and a REALLY slow digestive system that makes me feel full three hours after eating...other than that, nothing!

@Spinksy9 @Thedot90 So sorry to read your news. Big hugs xxx

@Firsttymmum I feel nauseous, but only after I've eaten, it's so strange! Still very bloated too!

Tecalina · 02/07/2020 11:16

@bubblybon20 According to Google, if the control line is lighter, the test has expired 🤷🏼‍♀️

AnonGlasgow · 02/07/2020 11:19

@BookishEm I hadn't even thought as far forward as the labour yet 🙈 just hoping everything will be ok and get through the next 12 weeks.
Here's hoping my next March everything will have settled down and partners will be allowed to stay.
If they're allowed in for active labour I really don't see the difference in them being there for the hours leading up. Hospitals specifically maternity wards need to use a bit more common sense. My friend in an anaesthetist in the hospital I'll be going to and she thinks it's shocking they don't let partners in. If they're positive for Covid-19 without knowing then more than likely so will the mum so having them in for a few extra hours won't make a difference.
Fingers crossed we'll be ok for next year 💖

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 11:26

I think by Aug hopefully we will be allowed our partner in at a scan.

I would love an early scan but I’m making myself wait until 12 weeks. Maybe by next week I will change my mind and book a wee last min scan.

kate123cl · 02/07/2020 11:33

Hello lovely ladies, hopefully I'm able to join? I got my BFP a few days ago. I'll be due mid March! Is anyone else experiencing quite sharp pains in their lower abdomen when they make sudden movements or stretch? I think I remember this when I was pregnant a few years ago with my DS but don't remember it being quite this sharp! Hope everyone is doing well x

Firsttymmum · 02/07/2020 11:35

@kate123cl congratulations! Yes I had exactly that , it’s gone now and just the odd bit of twinging I get. I’m 5+5 today x

fifi1989 · 02/07/2020 11:38

Only written one post here so far, but thought I'd re-join... I'm 5 + 4 today and have been spotting since Sunday evening, very light pinkish/brown and of course it's making me super anxious. My GP sent me for a scan at the EPU on Monday, and luckily it wasn't ectopic and they could see the gestational sac (and the yolk sac I think) but no heartbeat as it was too early. The doc couldn't see any internal bleeding but couldn't tell me why I was spotting and has booked me in for another scan on 20 July when I'm 8+1 (AGES away!!). Feeling so anxious. I'm not in pain and the spotting is very light, but seems to be fairly consistent. Still getting very strong positive tests but not sure if that means anything at this point. How do you all manage to cope with all of this anxiety? It's literally all I can think about at the moment.
