@BecsterG I’m starting the to get very uncomfortable. For me it’s sitting, when I sit at a table to eat or sit in the car I literally feel like I’m sat on her head and lightening crotch is becoming more regular. We went out for lunch today for my fil’s birthday which was 1hr 20 travel each way and then 2 hours at the restaurant. I could barely get out of the car when we got back!

We be actually also been sleeping on the sofa for months as it’s the only place I can get comfortable. I can’t even lie down on a bed anymore, it’s so uncomfortable.

@AlviesMam I had some enforced annual leave from work whilst we were still in lockdown so I actually did a lot of online shopping and then had backed it by 28 weeks but I think I only did that because I had time to kill and I couldn’t do a nursery or anything for the house move so it made me feel useful. I’ve taken it part and repacked it multiple times though!

@Leok83 yeah, 2.30 today.

@BecsterG I've been browsing pinterest. Think I'm going for a rainbow filter on the scan picture, with a comment about it being a year ago yesterday since George announced he was going to be a big brother to twins. This year we'd like to announce that he's going to be a big brother again, but just to one this time!

BecsterG · 17/08/2020 08:54

@Ejb86 good luck with the scan!

@MrsB16 sounds like she might be putting in an experience early. I didn't have any lightening or anything like that with DS as he didn't engage until I was in labour. I feel so uncomfortable sitting down though which isn't ideal as I need to sit all day at a laptop. It makes me feel full all the time even when I've not eaten. I can definitely only handle smaller platefuls now and driving long distance isn't good for me especially if I have to drive. It's cooler now thank god which is helping.

I've started having really vivid dreams again. I had a dream I gave birth in our car in the hospital car park. Ha ha

@AlviesMam, I've started getting bits together for my hospital bag (aimlessly and cluelessly...) and some bits for babies bag. Think i will "first draft" pack next week, as back to work the week after x

Ejb86 · 17/08/2020 15:09

Another little wriggler that didn't want to stretch out to be measured. Grin

Ejb86 · 17/08/2020 15:10

@ChampooPapi when you do the next list I'll be 11+4, EDD 5th March xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 17/08/2020 16:30

@Ejb86 😍😍

I thought that when the scan date was still within one week of initial edd they kept it? Or is it not like this?

Leok83 · 17/08/2020 17:11

@Ejb86 aw I'm delighted the scan went well for you!! Great news!

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:16

@Ejb86 fantastic scan update, that is for certain a baby! Those first few scans are so cute 🥰 I do it Tuesday so will you be 11 weeks 5?

And I'll be adding @scrumdiddly123 tomorrow too 🙌💗

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:19

@Ejb86 oh they've put you forward one day so you will be 11 weeks 4 tomorrow, sorry baby brain 🤦

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:22

@SunnySideUp2020 at my last hospital and this current one whatever you are at your '12 week scan' that's what they fix your due date as. Mine was also brought forward two days, even though I lost them again so to speak by the 20 week scan, but it stayed fixed still at the due date they worked out at that 12 week scan. I'm sure other hospitals do differ though, it's def not a complete exact science that's for sure!

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:25

@scrumdiddly123 did they give you an estimated due date for you six week scan you had lovely? What is weeks and days roughly

SunnySideUp2020 · 17/08/2020 17:25

@ChampooPapi oh ok i get it!
So first edd is based on lmp but at 12 week scan you get the real one!
Makes sense :)

TerribleImagination · 17/08/2020 17:29

Aww amazing update @Ejb86!! 😍😍😍😍

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:41

@SunnySideUp2020 yes and once you get that one that's it fixed whether you loose or gain days from then onwards, as most women will as babies do grow at different rates and are different sizes, but from then onwards (like at the twenty week scan) they are measuring femur length, head circumference, and abdomen circumference. It's only in the first trimester that they measure from crown to rump (or top of the head to the bum). Im pretty sure from 14 weeks they are working from centiles so how 'long' your baby is then has no relation to how many days or weeks it is, from then they may be very tall or very petit, but the due date remains the same

ChampooPapi · 17/08/2020 17:42

@SunnySideUp2020 also I'm excited about updating you on the list 🙌🥰 I live for Tuesdays 😆

scrumdiddly123 · 17/08/2020 18:45

Thanks @ChampooPapi, for now I’m 6 weeks today x

scrumdiddly123 · 17/08/2020 18:46

BecsterG · 17/08/2020 21:05

Thanks everyone.

We went for this announcement...

MilsCookie · 17/08/2020 22:33

Hey everyone, sorry I've been so quiet on here. Got the impending 20 week scan on weds and the anxiety is really getting to me so trying to stay distracted.

So happy to see your news @Ejb86 - such a relief! Lovely announcement too, made me emotional 😢 xx

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/08/2020 06:49

@MilsCookie aww i totally understand. I hope it will all turn out good. What time is your scan? Is your dp allowed with you?
💕

SunnySideUp2020 · 18/08/2020 06:51

@Ejb86 such an emotional announcement... 😥 Beautiful 🌈

Ejb86 · 18/08/2020 08:03

@MilsCookie I understand completely, and have everything crossed for you that all will be good with your girls tomorrow.

I hope you have a nice early scan so you don't have to wait around all day?

BS9790 · 18/08/2020 08:14

@Ejb86, glad the scan went well and what a lovely picture/announcement!

Ladies... What do I wear for coming home from the hospital? 🤔 With lockdown/distancing, I haven't bought much maternity gear... A couple of pairs of cropped sports leggings for walking the dog and a couple of summer dresses! Still wearing most of my normal clothes (and mostly pyjamas to be honest 🤭) I realised this morning I can't come home at the end of October in a summer dress 🤣

My work is directly opposite the hospital and we will probably park in work car park, rather than hospital car park when the time comes! So I want to be comfy & practical but not too scruffy incase I'm spotted! X
