@SunnySideUp2020 that's great news your HCG is looking good! The anxiety is so hard to curb isn't it? I've just gone down the acceptance route that it's out of my hands now. I've been very careful so that I can't blame myself if anything happens and now if it does there's just nothing I could have done. But hopefully it doesn't come to that!!🤞Just taking one day at a time!
And the sickness is horribly reassuring!

@MilsCookie those buns are amazing!! Such a cute idea!!

I'm currently on the last day of my annual leave and have been managing my nausea/fatigue by sleeping a lot (an awful lot!), resting, nibbling on stuff (mostly strawberries and crisps) the minute I get hungry. I've also been managing walks and paddles which help a lot and make me feel better. But I'm soo worried about going back to work tomorrow and how I'll cope now 😩it's like the fear of going back multiplied ten!! They do know at work as had to tell straight away due to being in contact with hazards daily. But none of them are mums so won't exactly understand the serious hangover feeling plus I'm the boss so cant seem like I'm slacking. Wish I could just fast forward through to September to the elusive second trimester!!

AlviesMam · 09/08/2020 11:18

I went for an Indian last night and had a korma... I have been up all night with heartburn from a KORMA?! Wtf 😂😂😂
Growth scan tomorrow I'm scared and don't know why, I always freak out before a scan Sad

ChampooPapi · 09/08/2020 12:40

Just popped on to say we love you @SunnySideUp2020 and are going to be here every step 💕 you are doing a fantastic job holding it together and this really and truly is the hardest time, god its the pits week 6-12, I quite honestly wouldn't wish the sickness and worry on my worst enemy! Which considering the wishes and hopes to become pregnant is a real head f#ck, but it is so so horrible and debilitating feeling like you practically hav a terminal illness, just one day at a time and each day is a day closer to the promised land of being able to eat vaguely normal food again and not to hear even a noise which makes you want to vomit. You will get through, and we are always here for all the anxieties too ❤️

SunnySideUp2020 · 09/08/2020 13:28

@ChampooPapi 💕💕💕💕 thank you for your kind words (making me emotional though 😢)

@AlviesMam
I would die for a korma right now actually 😂
Currently on an hour long break from nausea and god i want to stuff my face with everything !!!!!

@Leok83
Acceptance is definitely the key!
I am also careful with everything and make sure i do everything i can for this to be a healthy pregnancy, and yes taking one day at a time, even half days at a time !!

What do you do as a job?
When people around you can't relate it makes things so much harder!
Hopefully they will be understanding and let you take it easier than usual 🤞

Leok83 · 09/08/2020 14:17

@SunnySideUp2020 I'm a vet for small animals. I know if I take it easy it could put everyone else under a lot of extra pressure but I know they'll all be as supportive as they can and already have tried to keep my appointments quieter than normal. It's the uncontrollable emergencies that have me stressed! Could go through a week with none and then could be slammed day and night and it's always Sod's law that it happens when you could really do without it!

BS9790 · 10/08/2020 07:51

@AlviesMam, what time is your scan? I have my growth scan today too. I'll be thinking of you... 😊

I ended up going in for monitoring yesterday, 3 days of barely any movement at all. They said everything seems fine but I'll find out more at scan today.

I'm still not happy with his movements but wondering if he's just changed position... She didn't tell me how he was lay. My movements have gone from being able to him wriggling on the outside and it looking like a scene from alien and quiet regular, with big sharp kicks... to just a couple of small light taps each day. More like when I first started to feel them!

I just want it to be October now 😜

SunnySideUp2020 · 10/08/2020 08:26

Good luck with your scans today @BS9790 @AlviesMam

@Leok83
My first reaction was aww so cute! (I love animals)
But yeah can understand how unpredictable the job can be 😓

FireflyGirl · 10/08/2020 10:32

Good luck with scans today @BS9790 and @AlviesMam.

Movements here are quite erratic - I can feel her turning every couple of days from being head or bum up, to laid transverse across, and depending what position she's in I can either feel loads of movement and alien-like ripples across my belly, or hardly anything. At the moment, I have flutters along my bikini line that (randomly) feel more like they're on the outside than the inside, and pokes behind my belly button. DS definitely never moved as much as this!

AlviesMam · 10/08/2020 10:46

Growth scan was fine! She's measuring on the 50th percentile. She's head down so makes sense on where I can feel her kicks.
She was opening and closing her mouth swallowing the fluid hehe. Getting a 4d scan on Sunday so I'll send a pic then.
Her estimated weight now is 3lbs!!

Let me know how you get on @BS9790

Today is my first day of THIRD TRIMESTER!! Grin

AlviesMam · 10/08/2020 11:51

@BS9790 movements went like that for me. I can go days with just taps then the odd day where I see her move outside my stomach. With her being head down now I only feel her feet at the sides of my placenta some days she gives a good boot some days a little tap! Hopefully you will be reassured today he may have changed positions xxx

BS9790 · 10/08/2020 20:11

Scan was OK, still huge... 🙄

HC is levelled off a bit, was 97th at 20wk scan and it's now somewhere between middle/top line. So hasn't followed the line but they don't seem concerned. They didn't even mention it.
FL is above top line.
AC is 97th centile so I have to go for glucose test to check for gestational diabetes on Friday.

They've said estimated weight is 90th centile... Estimated 3lb3oz currently.

@AlviesMam... Glad your scan went well xx
I didn't get to see much on the screen she quickly showed me a quick profile of his face but only for a couple of seconds. He had his hand on his forehead, probably thinking "god not this again" 🤣

AlviesMam · 10/08/2020 21:04

@BS9790 glad you're scan went ok! He's going to possibly be a big baby 🙈 nice and healthy and strong though!

So I'm freaking out... I'm living at my in-laws and there fridge has a problem, which meant today I've had a few sprinkles of grated cheese on my chilli however the cheese was smelly but wasn't mouldy but I'm thinking it definitely was off... and also I had a couple of sips of my cup of tea only to realise it's sour!! I feel absolutely fine but I can't help but overthink now !!! Sad

Ejb86 · 11/08/2020 06:48

Glad your scans went ok ladies. Anxiously counting down to my 12 week scan on Monday.

scrumdiddly123 · 11/08/2020 08:33

Morning, glad the scans went well ladies!
I’m here lurking quietly and counting down to my 6 week scan on Friday. I’ve had no cramping or bleeding so just trying to be positive, it’s hard though. Not expecting a positive outcome but I suppose that’s what recurrent MC does to you 🙁

BecsterG · 11/08/2020 10:29

Hi Ladies,
So pleased he scans went well @BS9790 @AlviesMam.

I'm so uncomfortable. DS2 is lying the same way DS1 laid before he was born. Loves getting his feet up in my ribs. Sitting to work is not fun.

Have any of you started to think about names? My husband and I are really struggling to find a boys name we like. We have time but not that much time really! Ekk

OP posts:
SunnySideUp2020 · 11/08/2020 10:35

@BecsterG we have a few names already. We had started thinking last time i was pregnant so we just continued throughout the ttc 😇

BS9790 · 11/08/2020 13:13

@BecsterG, we had 2 boys names that we agreed on! I've told my hubby he can choose, as the middle name was more my choosing! X

Whiffle77 · 11/08/2020 15:24

Great news on the scans! And good luck @scrumdiddly123 and @Ejb86

We have one maybe girl name and no boys names...DH had one he liked but it was like top five in popularity lists so we instantly went off it! We are really struggling but not spent a huge amount of time on it so far. We have lots of time but its such a big decision and time seems to be accelerating at the minute! So many nice names I feel have been ruined by people I know, which I know is silly but I cant get past it

Leok83 · 11/08/2020 16:20

@BS9790 &@AlviesMam great news both of your scans went well! And great to be in the third trimester @AlviesMam!! Feels like that's such a far far away goal😄!!

@scrumdiddly123 I know it's hard but no reason not to be positive at this stage! I know time just drags by sooo much though and Friday prob seems a lifetime away!
@Ejb86 wow 12 weeks already!! Hopefully next week hurries up.
I'm absolutely dreading my 9 week one next week but just want it to be next week already to know one way or another.

@Whiffle77 I'm the same wit the names!! Or else I'll love a name and I know someone who has a dog with that name! My good friend has called her dog my fav girls name😫😂

scrumdiddly123 · 11/08/2020 18:17

@ChampooPapi can you add me to the next list please assuming I’m still here next week 🤞🏻

FireflyGirl · 11/08/2020 18:40

DH and I used named together.com, where you choose eg top 100/500 names in England/Wales/Scotland/Ireland/USA. One of you goes down the list and ticks the ones you like, then you hide them, and the other person does the same, then at the end it tells you which ones you both ticked.

We did the top 500 names in England, and agreed on precisely... None. Not a single one. Wish me luck, ladies Hmm

How are you feeling today, @AlviesMam? My thinking with cheese is it's mouldy anyway Wink but turned milk is definitely not good for you Envy

AlviesMam · 11/08/2020 18:43

@FireflyGirl I am feeling absolutely fine no signs of food poisoning and have a very active baby today! - should I stop worrying?!

We have our name picked out already and have done for years with a girls name it was boys I found hard. But love what we picked for our boy we lost hence my username Smile
