Same here - I had a viability scan at 6 weeks, DH got to see a blob, and that was his lot! I want another scan, but mostly because I'm still struggling to get my head around the fact this is happening!

Lovely bump, @MilsCookie!

I can't remember how many weeks I was with DS, but I felt this one just before 16 weeks. I am 5 months today, and I still wouldn't describe it as 'kicks', but I can definitely feel her wriggling around. She doesn't like me resting my kindle on my bump, and she's been poking me in the side with her foot again today.

Welcome @Ljm0101, and congratulations! The next few weeks are going to pass very slowly, but we're here to chat!

MilsCookie · 02/07/2020 22:42

@Ljm0101 8 weeks is a good point to aim for. I broke it down even more and 'allowed' myself to do a clear blue digi when I turned 6 weeks to hopefully see the "3+" (which I did and it reassured me!) literally in those early weeks do whatever you can to break it down because otherwise it just feels like such a loooong time to the 12 week scan! Also if everything is looking good at 8 weeks (growth matches your dates and strong heartbeat) then there is a really good chance things are going to be okay. Sending you lots of positive vibes - you got this! 💪🏼💞

@ChampooPapi thanks mama ☺️ can't believe the bump is already forming. Did you feel your DDs move any earlier? It's good to know not everyone feels movement early cos otherwise I'd definitely be worrying! I'm just freaking out about the 16 week scan and potential TTTS syndrome 😣 fingers crossed everything will be okay 🤞🏻 how are you feeling about your 20 week scan? 💗

MilsCookie · 02/07/2020 23:01

Just had to share this with you all - cute "tiny human" babygrow for £3! They sting you with the postage - but I ordered two and it was just under £12 for the babygrows and postage 😊

Ahhh that is cute!! I am looking forward to starting buying stuff, but putting it off for a few more weeks I think!
Hope everyone is OK and ready for the weekend, we have a longer one which I am looking forward to as had some rubbish nights sleep this week! Did manage to just sneak a nap though, one of the perks of wfh!

AlviesMam · 03/07/2020 19:23

@MilsCookie lovely bump!!!!! Times flying! Xx

FireflyGirl · 04/07/2020 13:01

That's so cute, @MilsCookie Grin Their first matching outfit ☺️

DM has been spending her time on furlough productively by knitting lots of cardigans and scouring eBay for bargains!

Baby is already fully kitted out until she's 6 months, even without the stuff I already had from DS Shock

Hi all. So I’ve been feeling like things are going wrong (no bleeding or anything just a feeling) so I went for a private scan this morning - no heartbeat - so I’m out this time round. Best of luck to all you lovely mammas. x

TerribleImagination · 05/07/2020 11:28

@PippaLiz Oh lovey, I’m so so sorry to hear that. How heartbreaking 💔 There are no words, it’s just too unfair. Sending you all the love xx

BS9790 · 05/07/2020 16:01

Can any of you ladies recommend a moisturiser for my tummy etc! Not overly concerned about it being "stretch mark" specific... Just something to keep my skin well moisturised and hopefully a bit stretchy 😂
I have been using the Palmers stretch mark cocoa butter, but barely use it because
A) it leaves me feeling sticky
B) I can't stand the smell!

Something nice and light with a pleasant smell would be ideal!! Xx

MrsB16 · 05/07/2020 17:51

@BecsterG I just got back from my 4d scan and true to form, she didn’t want to play ball! I think she had a career in gymnastics in front of her as she spent the whole scan with her legs on her head and her feet in her face. The sonographer did say she was 100% a girl though which was nice to hear. It was great to see her and my husband really enjoyed it. I’m 29 weeks tomorrow and she is already over 3lb so at this growth rate she is set to be at least a 9lber!!

I did enjoy it but it’s only really worth it if baby is willing to let you do and my little girl certainly didnt want to be seen today. These were the best images we got, the best were of her feet!!

@BS9790 I’ve got some Burt’s Bee’s Mamma Bee oil, that I used for the first time today after being recommended it by a friend. It absorbs really well and smells lush, quite lemony!

BecsterG · 05/07/2020 18:00

@MrsB16 aww wow the photos are still amazing. I think we're 100% going to do it too as my husband is keen to see the baby. So far he's not played ball either so wouldn't surprise me if our boy was the same as your girl.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight as it's just an estimate and really hard for them to know. No one gave me an estimate when I was pregnant with my son strangely but I was convinced I was having a big baby as I'm 5'11 and my husband is 6'3 but he was 7.1 lb. we only had up to 1 month clothes which were massive for him. My husband has to go to the shop the day he was born to get newborn size.

@PippaLiz I'm so sorry to read you're post. I hope you're doing ok all things considering. X

@MrsB16 ahhhh this is amazing!! 😍 frustrating that she was being a gymnast but so lovely to get a photo of her face!! Incredible 🥰

Love seeing this @ChampooPapi 🥰 thanks so much for doing it.

Looks like we're pretty much bang on a 50/50 split for boys/girls! (Only slightly tipped by the fact Champoo is having two girlies!)

There are 4 of us on there still to find out... so going by those 50/50 odds two of us should be having boys and two having girls! (Maybe I'm having two boys to balance it out even more!) 😆 xx

TerribleImagination · 06/07/2020 13:03

Woohoo! Thanks for the updated list @ChampooPapi 🥰

TerribleImagination · 06/07/2020 13:05

How’s everyone doing? I’m starting to get a bit of relief from the nausea!! Don’t want to tempt fate, cos it’s still there, but I haven’t felt quite as sick for the past few days! Fingers crossed I’m turning a corner and will feel full of beans in a week or so 🤞🏻😂

MilsCookie · 06/07/2020 16:04

Woohoo @TerribleImagination that's such good news!! Hopefully not too much longer till you feel back to normal! Me on the other hand...still getting daily headaches 🤕😖 although the other day I didn't have one for TWO days in a row and I thought it was some kind of miracle! My body was teasing me though cos they're now back again ☹️

Other than that I'm good thank you - beginning to feel rather bumpy now and it's just permanently there! I went into town early this morning to pop into a few shops (been forever looking online but never buying!) and bought a couple of packs of sleepsuits from m&s 😍 and two maternity bras for me to wear now cos my boobs have practically doubled in size. Although I bought one back size up thinking that would've been enough... still too small! My boobs are spilling out of the sides 😬 in one way I'm super happy cos my they've never been this big 🤣 but annoying that I'm gonna have to buy some more.

How is everyone else doing?

AlviesMam · 06/07/2020 20:30

Was in hospital yesterday as my resting heart rate went up to 140bpm... positive side was I got to listen to baby and felt her kick the Doppler.
My anxiety is really kicking in hence the heart rate. Really need to find ways to calm down.
I feel stressed and can't calm down until I feel her move too which isn't helping Sad especially with my placenta position

Ejb86 · 07/07/2020 06:01

@AlviesMam that's completely understandable with what you've been through. Do your hospital have a mental health midwife? I asked to be referred to mine when I was pregnant with the twins due to anxiety and I think I'll be contacting her again soon. She really helped me to calm down and put strategies in place to bond with babies, rather than stressing about them.

MilsCookie · 07/07/2020 09:19

@AlviesMam oh you poor thing that sounds so stressful... how did you know your heart rate had gone up? Or did you feel unwell and that's why you went into hospital? Are you feeling better now? It's totally expected that you feel this way after what you've been through. I would definitely recommend speaking to a therapist (ideally one the hospital can link you to as @Ejb86 said). You're doing so well. Keep taking one day at a time and before you know it your little girl will be here in your arms xxxx sending lots of hugs and positive vibes ✨🤗 xxxx

MilsCookie · 07/07/2020 09:26

P.s. isn't your 20 week scan today @ChampooPapi ?? If so I'm sending lots of positive vibes and I'll be thinking of you! ✨✨🌈🌈 xxx

ChampooPapi · 07/07/2020 09:39

@MilsCookie yes it is fellow twin creator! I have swayed the last few days from shear frozen fear, to pure calm zen. I'll update this evening, I know it'll probably all be fine, especially after the private scan I had at 16 weeks which confirmed heart chambers , fluid being swallowed and taken into the belly ect. I feel mostly anxious now about meeting the consultant, I've never been a consultant lead pregnancy before so it's very new to me, plus I am 100 percent going for a planned section and have been advised to bring it up at this first appointment, even though early, as it needs to be noted as early as possible.
So got to be a bad bitch today as well as cool and calm for the scan.

Hope I don't confuse the two! 😆
