Hi @PippaLiz 👋🏻 You poor thing having such a rough journey so far, but amazing to have seen your little one’s heartbeat already ❤️ There’s such a high chance of everything being ok once you’ve seen that. We all totally understand the worry though ❤️ Those couple of weeks before your 12 week scan will hopefully fly by!

AlviesMam · 30/06/2020 17:04

@Zoey36
Aw sorry to hear this. Time is a healer but you never forget. I lost my baby boy at 22 weeks in October and had an early loss last January, I'm now 22 weeks with my baby girl and the anxiety has been horrendous. I will have moments I think of that time and burst into tears. It's not just the miscarriage that deeply affects you it's the hopes plans and dreams you had for that baby too. Your new pregnancy isn't a replacement it's a gift and you will always remember that time but eventually it will get that little bit easier. The experience has made me stronger as I'm sure it as with the rest of the group but remember it's ok to have a weak day, let it all out when you need to. It's the most traumatic thing a woman can ever go through. Xxxx

FireflyGirl · 01/07/2020 13:01

How are you doing @Zoey36? Unless you've experienced a miscarriage, you can't appreciate how traumatic it is.

For my second MMC, I was booked in for surgery. They gave me the tablet to open my cervix, then got overrun with emergencies. 6 hours later, I miscarried alone in the hospital toilet with no painkillers, after having nothing to eat or drink for nearly 24 hours. It was nearly 12 months ago now, but it is fresh in my memory.

I am also still grieving my first Mc, which was over 6 years ago (and had a similar edd to my current pregnancy).

This baby has spent the morning making her presence felt by sticking her foot (feet??) in my side Grin

MilsCookie · 01/07/2020 13:13

Hey ladies - I have a question about smear tests. I was due to have mine in December but I was still travelling. When I got back, I booked one straight away, but because I'd had a recent ERPC they said to come back in 3 months when things were properly healed. So I booked one for March, and it got cancelled because of Covid 🙄 I've just received another letter asking me to go for one, but am I right in thinking they don't do them when you're pregnant?

AlviesMam · 01/07/2020 13:21

@MilsCookie yes they won't do your smear until 3 months after you've given birth :) xx

MilsCookie · 01/07/2020 15:09

@Alviesmam thanks lovely - I thought that was the case!! X

MilsCookie · 02/07/2020 14:08

Thought I'd share my mainly bloated, 13+4 weeks tummy!! Quite scared about how big I might get 🙈 👶🏻👶🏻

How is everyone doing? Xx

Ejb86 · 02/07/2020 14:16

@MilsCookie awww! Such a lovely bump! Have you felt your little wrigglers yet?

TerribleImagination · 02/07/2020 14:28

Awww that’s gorgeous @MilsCookie 🥰

All good here! Week 12 is kicking my arse with the nausea 🤢 but plodding along! How’s everyone else doing? Xx

Whiffle77 · 02/07/2020 15:02

Awww you look great @MilsCookie I am feeling massive at the minute, also worried about size at the end!
Sorry you are still feeling rubbish @TerribleImagination - physically I feel quite normal at the min, but worrying about my 20 week scan already - two and a half weeks away!! So convinced something will be wrong.

MilsCookie · 02/07/2020 15:06

Thank you @ejb86 @TerribleImagination !!

I haven't felt them yet no... can't wait till I do!! When did the ladies who are further ahead than me start feeling their little ones?

Sorry you're still feeling rough @TerribleImagination 😞 surely it won't be too much longer until you start to feel better!! I'm still having my daily headaches 😖 I can almost count on them to start between 2-3pm and have gone again by 6-7pm! So strange! Xx

peonyrose87 · 02/07/2020 16:20

@MilsCookie what a lovely bump!! 🥰

Ejb86 · 02/07/2020 18:00

@MilsCookie I lost my girls at 16 weeks, and had a few weeks of feeling them move, so you might not be far off feeling them for the first time!

Ljm0101 · 02/07/2020 18:41

Hi just wondering if I can join this thread (I hope it's the right one that @Milcookie and @TerribleImagination recommend)
You may recognise me from the ttc group Jan-June. I've just got my bfp after trying for 6 cycles after my mc.
I'm completely all over the place with emotions and time feels like it is going ever so slowly but other than that it's all good. Just been scrolling through your chat, there are some gorgeous bump pictures 😍. Xxx

Ljm0101 · 02/07/2020 18:42

@Milscookie

TerribleImagination · 02/07/2020 18:49

Hi lovey! @Ljm0101 Yep this is the right one, welcome! 🥰 So pleased for you!!

BecsterG · 02/07/2020 19:05

Lovely bump @MilsCookie

I think I felt this baby about 17/18 weeks. I was 21/22 with my son so a bit earlier. I felt tiny kicks first and then the weird rolling sensation.

I am officially in the third trimester on Saturday and not sure if it's a coincidence but I feel extra tired this week.

I had a pretty big bump early on but it's evened out now so I don't think (hope) I'll be much bigger than I was with my birth but I'll have to wait and see I guess.

Welcome @Ljm0101 and congratulations. The starts of another pregnancy after mc is so tough and time does drag but hang in there. The first 12 weeks is the slowest 3 months ever!! I feel like I've been pregnant for ages but everyone tells me how quick it's going! Ha ha I'm sure the last bit will go much faster.

X

@Ejb86 😔 that's so so sad that you felt them move and then you lost them. I can't even imagine. Hopefully I might feel mine move soon then 🤞🏻

@BecsterG yes I've heard you feel them sooner with second babies! No wonder you're feeling tired, that baby is getting bigger!! So exciting to almost be in the 3rd trimester as well!

@Ljm0101 yayyy so glad you're here lovely!! It's a horribly anxious time but hopefully the fact we're all still here post 12 weeks will give you some encouragement. Will you get an early private scan? 💞

BecsterG · 02/07/2020 19:26

You're right @MilsCookie I feel massive but I'm really not!

Has anyone had a 3D/4D scan before? Thinking of having one this time so my husband can see the baby and although this is likely to be my last baby all going well.

Thank you everyone it's so lovely to see everyone's success stories, and yes @MilsCookie I have just found an early reassurance scan on groupon 🙈🙈 so I got it booked for 25th July (8 weeks) and then if you are still not allowed partners at the 12 weeks scan by the time I get there we said we might do another. Xx

ChampooPapi · 02/07/2020 19:56

@MilsCookie fab bump picture! 💜🥰👣 I still haven't felt mine both move yet and I'm 20 weeks Tuesday, I think it's pretty normal to start feeling fluttering from about then so you'll probably have a good six weeks yet, though there is someone on my other thread that has felt proper kicks at around 17 weeks so it's definitely possible.

@Ljm0101 I am absolutely thrilled to have logged on and see your username here! Fantastic news! So happy for you, I was trying 5 months and now nearly twenty weeks so I promise you'll get through this first trimester. Especially if you get sickness, it kind of wipes you out for a good month or so and that seemed to help a bit with the anxiety. The next few weeks are difficult before the quease starts and you kind of just a ball of nerves, but we will be here every day 💜💜

MrsB16 · 02/07/2020 20:00

@BecsterG I have a 4d scan booked for this Sunday at 28+6, I will let you know what it’s like!

I’m also having one because my husband hasn’t seen our little girl since 12 weeks. I’m so excited to see her little face!!

ChampooPapi · 02/07/2020 20:10

@Ljm0101 let me know when your ready for me to add you to our list👣🌈

I'll update next week, I'm waiting until we have all got through the next 5 days. I know some of us need to get into our next week's. This has been a really difficult week for some of you wonderful and brave women. I really am humbled when I log on by how courageous you all are, and how honest this thread is when facing the emotional side of pregnancy after loosing a baby.

BecsterG · 02/07/2020 20:37

Thanks @MrsB16 , it would be great to know what our think. My dating scan wasn't until I was 13+ weeks and therefore just into the first few days of lockdown so my husband hasn't seen the baby since my early scans. It's the main reason we're thinking of doing it and we might as well do 4D.
