@CoalCraft they just said cause there was no.sign of pregnancy on the abdominal scan they would bring me back in incase I was too early

Has anyone ever experienced sort of sharp pains it feels like it's on my bladder? It's almost as if my bladders really full and its quite painful to pee. I'm surprised an infection didn't show up in my urine as that's what it feels like

Skyla01 · 08/06/2020 17:32

@MayBug2020 scan is 8th July, I'll be 12+4.

@Lollipop93 I can't wait to get back out running! Taking it easy just now, I'm exhausted getting to work and home again. But hoping to get back running in a few weeks.

8+2

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 17:34

@Lollipop93 I'm a super keen runner (or I was). I run for a club, and usually train at least 5x per week. They day before I found out I did a super hard interval session...whoops. Since I've found out though I've slashed effort and mileage - I'm really just doing an easy jog, anything from 30-60 mins, about 4 times a week. I suspect I could do more - midwife seemed to think more would be OK - but I'm being cautious. It's weird how much my body shape has changed just from 8 weeks of easy exercise...I am def carrying the most body fat I ever have. Trying not to mind too much, but I do kind of miss my athletic running body...its only going to get worse from here, I guess...!

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 17:36

I have also found that even if I have to drag myself out the house I do feel more energetic afterwards. It's just conquering the desire to nap on the sofa that I struggle with!

inthestars90 · 08/06/2020 17:36

Hi all I hope you are doing okay.

@Hopefulmummie so sorry to hear about your experience it all sounds pretty awful. Sending you good wishes for your scan tomorrow, I hope you will finally be reassured 💕

I have my booking appointment tomorrow and a private scan this week. I'm excited and nervous but trying to focus on excitement as i know it won't change the outcomes of these things but it is hard! I'd never imagined how long this wait would feel! It must be partly lockdown related surely!? Though it's a handy way to hide it from people 🙂

Skyla01 · 08/06/2020 17:40

@Carabu1 I would listen to your body- if you feel good go for it! I researched training in pregnancy (a few weeks ago before even getting off the sofa became a challenge) and as long as you back off intensity it's all good. You're lucky you've been well enough to keep running, although it's only been a week since my last run. I'm looking forward to telling my club mates- I did a few virtual races (slowly) since finding out about pregnancy so it'll be nice to be able to share my excuse!

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 18:02

@Skyla01 fingers crossed you perk up soon! I have def got off so lightly so far...just hoping its not a bad omen. Agree: club mates. I am usually really keen to run with others, and since lockdown was lifted I've been resorting to increasingly inventive reasons not to run with my training buddies; I wouldn't be able to keep up with them atm! It will feel good when I can some clean, ha.

Lollipop93 · 08/06/2020 18:02

@skyla01 @Carabu1

That’s brilliant you feel well enough to do it! Defo keep it up! I wish I could. Yeah it’s exactly that, it’s the actual getting out part that’s hard haha! Really hope I can feel ok soon too as I took up running after I had my first and it really got me back into shape post baby as last pregnancy I didn’t exercise as I was too scared (and tired) but feel much more educated now to try do at least some in this pregnancy. I would love to be able to try at least do 30 mins 3 times a week! Fingers crossed 😂

nmw93 · 08/06/2020 18:18

Hey All!

I'm 8+2 today with my first. Had an early scan at 7 weeks and saw a little heart beat which really cheered me up!

I've had awful nausea and vomiting since 5 weeks and eventually got prescribed medicine to stop the sickness as I was losing weight. I'm having really weird food aversions and my sense of smell is on steroids! Can't stand meat atm and the only things that ease my anxiety and numerous body aches is a warm bath and some tea.

Glad to be going on this adventure with all of you Flowers

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 18:21

@Skyla01 my scan is on the same day :) but I think I will be exactly 12 weeks! Xx

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 18:30

@MayBug2020 YES! I’ve had that! I’ve been super bloated since day 1, but some days my stomach aches like I’ve done a full on abs workout! Which I very very much haven’t 😂

Sunshinedahlia · 08/06/2020 18:42

Hi all! Thanks for the new thread! I‘m 6+5. Nausea all day every day since about a week. SO tired! Otherwise happy.
Fingers crossed for you @Hopefulmummie

Hopefulmummie · 08/06/2020 18:47

@sunshinedahila welcome and congratulations. Hope you are feeling a bit better soon

Thank you

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 18:59

@TerribleImagination oh I am so glad someone else knows what I am talking about as I was getting a little worrier. How far are you?

7+5 for me xx

BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 19:19

Love a chatty group.

I feel so rough. Had a 2 hour nap today. Managed some toast this morning and some cereal.

Just had a little cry.

Hi all! I'm 9+4. Everything smells rancid, can't eat hot food, living off pom bears and apples. Felt a little better these last two days however. Not had a private scan so waiting for my hospital one at 13 weeks. I hope all is ok, seems a long wait!!

RaN88 · 08/06/2020 19:27

Forgot to mention am on my third UTI 🙈

BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 19:43

Can we talk sleep positions?

They recommend you sleep on your left. I just find it so bloody uncomfortable laying on my side. I sleep with a pillow inbetween my legs to try and help.

Who's doing this already?

OP posts:
TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 19:53

@MayBug2020 Yep, I’m feeling it today! It’s only really if I stretch or something, pretty similar to when you actually have the burn after a workout 😂 I’m 9+3 today but I’ve had it for at least a couple of weeks now, off and on. I wondered if it was the bloat stretching things out and making it ache?

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 19:55

@BabyG123 I’m definitely finding sleeping isn’t comfortable already, but I think that’s more the nausea and just not being able to comfy because of that. You don’t have to sleep just on your side until I think the 3rd trimester... You deffo don’t have to worry about it this early anyways. I’d say sleep however is comfy for you until you need to do otherwise, that’s my plan 😂

OhSoCherished · 08/06/2020 19:57

@Hopefulmummie hoping everything works out well for you! I also have the stabby-like pains in my bladder from time to time, and when I'm peeing. I've just put it down to it contracting and expanding, with less space due to a growing uterus. No other symptoms so I've ruled out a UTI but if anything changes, I'll be telling my midwife.

@BabyG123 I've just got my pregnancy pillow from Amazon and I'm so glad I did that early. I need to get used to sleeping on my sides as I'm mostly a back or tummy sleeper.

StephS1984 · 08/06/2020 20:01

@BabyG123, I got into the habit last time of sleeping left side and I’m doing it as often as I can now, with a pillow to hold boobs and bump area. But I have a silly problem, the side I sleep on in bed means I face my husband and at the mo his mid sleep breath turns my stomach, so I recon we’ll need to change sides soon. As sleeping gets more uncomfortable and I get bigger, I have a 6ft pregnancy pillow to use.

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 20:19

@BabyG123 yes, I'm mostly sleeping on my left side already, I find that my tummy feel stretched if I sleep on my back and makes me freak out xD I just wish I could remove this bloody left arm 🙄 I get really bad pins and needles after a while...
Does the pregnancy pillow help with that??

Hopefulmummie · 08/06/2020 20:47

@OhSoCherished I think I am probably the same as my urine didn't show signs of infection.
I hope the pain eases for you

I'm actually looking forward to using a pregnancy pillow lol

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 21:14

@Hopefulmummie me too! I will probably have to buy two though, OH will be too jealous 😏
