BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 13:24

@Grumpy19 it used to be before 8 weeks but now they don't blood test and just do it at the scan I think there is no rush!

My goodness there are so many autocorrect fails in that - sorry! Hopefully the gist comes across.

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 13:46

Thanks @BabyG123. I just need to relax a bit.
Hi @CoalCraft congratulations on your scan. I hope things settle down for you re the bleeding.

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 13:47

@CoalCraft amazing to hear!! 🤩 gives a bit of hope that it can happen and still be fine with baby!

Ugh... I don't know if it's in my head as I just reach week 6 but I feel awful today :s didn't have much appetite this morning, I usually munch my breakfast in minutes!
And now done a bit of exercise to get the machine going again and I feel even worst xD like almost nauseous but not really! It's so weird!... do you ever feel like that? Like if you were gonna start having nausea but it's there yet?! Lol I feel like going crazy 😝

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 13:48

*not there yet

dixiedo · 08/06/2020 13:49

Hi everyone I'm in work today so hard to catch up on everyone's messages.

Thanks for your thoughts.
I feel alot better today but still bleeding and not getting any lighter. Although it isn't that heavy
No pain thank god but just really nervous for my scan in the morning. And makes it worse that my OH can't attend with me

Hope everyone is good today

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 14:03

@lilypad88 I keep waking thinking if I eat I'll be sick, but if I don't eat, I'll be sick. It really feels like a no win situation.

@Hopefulmummie I really feel for you having to wait for a scan. I really hope all goes well.

OhSoCherished · 08/06/2020 14:22

Hello ladies! I'm exactly 10 weeks today and I have my first scan booked in 3 weeks time.
This is my first pregnancy and I am so grateful because this baby is very much wanted.

So down to how I'm feeling... since week 6, it's been non-stop nausea and exhaustion. I've been peeing constantly and cannot sleep through the night. I wake up 3-4 times and that also add to my daytime tiredness. I don't know what I expected but I've just been feeling awful and insanely emotional too. I'm counting down to week 12 because I heard it gets better in the 2nd trimester and I'm really hoping this is the case for me Smile

CoalCraft · 08/06/2020 14:31

@Hopefulmummie I'm so sorry you've had such a tough experience so far. Did the private clinic give any reason for not doing an internal scan?? I had a scan (epu) at about the same stage as you and there was just a vague sac visible on abdominal scan, but with internal there was a heartbeat.

I've had persistent but pain-free bleeding since five weeks, back to epu today (9+2 according to measurements) and all well with baby.

Ivoryjane · 08/06/2020 15:31

Hi again all thanks for new thread.
So I'm 10 weeks today and this day 2 weeks I have my scan. Not sure yet if DH will be allowed attend.
I'm feeling rough since week 6. Sickly feeling nauseous and no real interest in food. It's a case of eating just to eat there's nothing I actually want if that makes sense. So so tired and at home with my 20 month keeps me busy. Yday I was so so emotional crying over the slightest thing, my husband made me go and sit on the couch with a blanket. Thankfully he understood but also thankfully it's not happening every day. Hope everyone doing ok. I cannot wait for 12 weeks to be over to hopefully start feeling a bit more normal 😂 and to tell people!! Xx

Skyla01 · 08/06/2020 15:45

@Ivoryjane I'm feeling very similar to you! I've gone off a lot of food and if I do fancy something it's only for a few days then I go off it too. Absolutely can't wait for 2nd trimester either! I have my scan 1 month today so still a little while to wait.

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 15:57

@Ivoryjane @OhSoCherished that's exactly how I'm starting to feel, I literally wanted to cry while eating my lunch, feeling so exhausted and nauseous :s oh gosh... sounds like it's the beginning of the end for me as well then xD

6 weeks

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 16:15

@ivoryjane we're 12 week scan day buddies :) Sorry you're feeling so rough. I feel physically pretty good, but I'm def very moody and grumpy the last week or so...I feel like my patience frays very quickly. Not sure if its tiredness or hormones or lockdown or I'm just a grump cow, ha.

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 16:39

Hello ladies, just finished work and catching up with all the messages. @lilypad88 I started to feel worse around 6 weeks and I am not 7+5. My nausea started with a feeling that my tummy was empty all the time and then turned to pure nauseous. Gone off food and just trying to eat something to help with energy and developing baby. I am so grateful to be working from home at the moment as a couple of days last week I had to nap in my lunch break.

What I have noticed over the last two days is muscular stretching aches across my belly like I have completely an abs work out. Didn’t understand it as this morning my belly looked flat well I just looked in the mirror and it’s popped right out. Has anyone else had these feelings around their tummy? Xx

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 16:40

@Skyla01 when is your scan as I think we are at very similar times x

CoalCraft · 08/06/2020 16:47

Sorry if this is a bit of an odd question but do you guys talk to your babies at all yet? I do occasionally, just saying silly things really. I stopped a for a bit when I was feeling more pessimistic about things but today I just want to chatter to him/her about everything.

It feels daft especially since I'm not normally a very sentimental person, but I like it! Am i the only one already talking in the first trimester?

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 16:58

Not daft @CoalCraft
I sometimes whisper to this one (not sure why I whisper tbh!) Reassuring things.
When I was expecting DC2 I used to sing DC1 to sleep the same song every night. When DC2 arrived she was crying and I sang the same song to her and she stopped crying immediately and I swear there was a look of recognition on her face.
I have sung to all three of mine. In the bath usually.

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 17:06

@CoalCraft I chat to mine when I'm out jogging. I must look totally mental, but I'm hoping all this pregnancy running is fostering a future olympian :)

OhSoCherished · 08/06/2020 17:09

@MayBug2020 I've been having cramps as well, a little like period pains but not as intense. Everyone I've spoken to has said it's just the uterus stretching and making room for baby.

lilypad88 · 08/06/2020 17:09

@MayBug2020 yea it's not easy... I feel like crashing on my sofa all day long atm and I'm usually quite active, it's really hard... I'm nit working atm so at least I can just rest at home... I'm just wondering how do women do it when they can't wfh :s

Lollipop93 · 08/06/2020 17:13

@carabu1 that’s great you are jogging. I normally jog 3 times a week but because I’ve been feeling so sick and tired I’ve not managed to get out for the past few weeks but I hope I can pick it up soon! How much do you run and has it changed much since you found out you were pregnant?

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 17:16

@OhSoCherished yes I have been told it’s normal and I guess I never thought about your body adjusting other than getting a bump but all makes sense :) xx

MayBug2020 · 08/06/2020 17:17

@lilypad88 I know those that get up and go to the office and work through it are amazing. Once I am working it kind of takes my mind of things but not until about 11 once things have settled down xx
