@Hopefulmummie oh what a stressful night this must have been!.... did they say anything to you? How is the bleeding today? Another day waiting... that is raging to leave someone in pain and stress like that! I really don't get it.... Hope you're okay hun 💛

Finally reached week 6! One more week to go until my scan, I really hope will be able to see something :s I'm getting nervous as I'm planning to tell my parents after the scan 😬

@Lollipop93 I'm still taking pregnancy tests and checking my bbt is still high every now and then yea... cause of my lack of symptoms I just still don't believe I'm pregnant sometimes...

@Hopefulmummie the midwife is right - absolute abomination you weren't scanned internally by the private clinic I'm extremely annoyed for you!! Hope your scan goes well tomorrow 🤞🏼

10+1

BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 09:53

@MarvEll toast in the morning has been helping the nausea (not today) basically carbs, but I feel like I'm getting worse.
Completely gone off meat. Can't even stand the thought of cooking it. Basically 0 appetite!
@IshaPoet I'm defo with you on chicken.

@Lollipop93 you don't have to retest but I have issues and like to keep checking for a strong line 🤣

IshaPoet · 08/06/2020 09:57

@BabyG123 it's so difficult bcos I love me some chicken so to feel like I'm going off it makes me a little sad but I'll find another food replacement lol

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 10:08

@BabyG123 I’m the same with meat! Although some days I can manage certain things bizarrely! I managed chicken and chorizo paella, but that changes day to day 🤣 I definitely can’t stomach the thought of any red meat at any time 🤢

Baba11 · 08/06/2020 10:12

I have actually wanted red meat which is odd. I haven't really felt like eating particular things. I find i force myself most times to eat, especially fruit and the good stuff.

Hi gals, 8+2 here on second pregnancy.
First ended with an MMC in October so quite anxious this time around but convincing myself that each pregnancy is different. Booked a private scan for this Wednesday and hoping to see something! @Hopefulmummie Everything crosses for you, waiting for a scan is so hard. If you can at all, keep busy today and I hope the time flies. Xx

BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 10:41

@IshaPoet I did this with tuna with my son. Couldn't be in the same room as it. After his birth I was asked what I wanted for lunch and I fancied a tuna sandwich and really enjoyed it. So weird!!!

@TerribleImagination I had chicken when I didn't cook it the other day so maybe it's a weird thought process.

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 10:42

@Baba11 Oh I hear ya! Forcing myself to eat here too 🤢 It’s mad cos I love food usually and now it’s just a chore 🙈 Roll on the 2nd trimester eh!

9+3

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 10:43

@BabyG123 Yeah it could be that! My DP cooked it, so maybe if we’re not involved in the process, it’s easier?! 😂

BabyG123 · 08/06/2020 10:49

@TerribleImagination I had none of this with my last baby. Literally 0 symptoms with him!

Hi everyone. I'm 8+1. Had some terrible nausea last week but now back to baseline mild which is ok. Would really recommend travel bands- I wear mine 24/7. I'm struggling a bit with food, I seem to go off everything! Lost half a kilo so far but most days I think I'm managing to eat enough. Fruit smoothie are the only healthy thing I can eat. Roll on the 12wk scan!

Baba11 · 08/06/2020 10:54

I went of chicken with my little boy. Couldn't stand the smell of it. Not so bad with this one.

TerribleImagination · 08/06/2020 10:56

@BabyG123 It’s crazy how that happens sometimes isn’t it?

Bubbabee · 08/06/2020 11:00

Morning all... New week, I'm 6+3.. private scan a week tomorrow!! Eek.
Is anybody struggling to fall asleep on a night? Went to bed at 8 and didn't fall asleep until 1am..
felt sick as soon as I opened my eyes too.
@Hopefulmummie hope your ok

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 11:05

@Lollipop93 I hear you! Time has never gone SO SLOWLY. I have 2 weeks to go and it feels like foreveeeer. I personally don't see much point keeping on taking tests; your hormones will stay up for a while even if you have had a mc, so its unlikely to tell you much. I have had 2 early scans though that have been total anxiety life savers; I don't feel pg at all, so its helped me to know its not just all in my head. Appreciate they cost £ though and aren't for everyone - they won't change the outcome after all...!

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 11:11

@Hopefulmummie how frustrating! Hope you're not too exhausted today.

I'm frightened to eat today as I don't want to make my painful tummy worse.
I also never felt this sick with my other 3!
I'm a bit frustrated as I haven't been able to get hold of a midwife yet. Left a couple of messages on their answer phone but not had a reply. I'd like to get my booking appointment done. When did you lovely ladies get yours?
7 + 4

Skyla01 · 08/06/2020 11:24

@Grumpy19 I had my booking last week when I was 7+4. Even got to go in person!!

8+2

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 11:31

@Skyla01 I thought it was meant to be done by 8 weeks which is why I'm keen to get on with it as I don't want it to delay my scan.

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 11:41

@grumpy19 I didn't have mine until 10+1! I'm still having my scan in 12th week though so I wouldn't worry too much - its mainly history, so I can't imagine it matters much when its done.

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 11:45

Thanks Carabu1. It's the scan I'm bothered about.
Once I've had the 12 week scan and we know all is ok I can tell my other 3 children.

Carabu1 · 08/06/2020 11:48

I got the impression they just do them in due date order - so they won't delay your scan past a certain point as they have to do tests etc. So I wouldn't worry about when the booking appt is; it was in no way connected to my scan date :)

Grumpy19 · 08/06/2020 12:04

Thanks Carabu1
Honestly, you wouldn't think I'd done this 3 times before. I seem to have forgotten everything. My pain is a mush from tiredness, sickness and pain.

Skyla01 · 08/06/2020 13:08

@Grumpy19 it sounds like every gp practice / health board is doing it differently. I don't think timing matters, except of course you'll get referred for your scan. Hopefully you'll hear something soon.

CoalCraft · 08/06/2020 13:16

Hi all I believe I was on the previous thread.

So sorry for disappearing. Basically I continued to have bleeding and became quite pessimistic and negative in my thinking about it all, so tried to put baby stuff from my mind for a while.

Due to the continued bleeding my midwife associates me to get in touch with epu again, and they scanned new today at what would be 10+2 according to last period.

Everything was fine! Baby looks five and healthy. Appears to actuality be 9+2, but it measured a week smaller at my last scan too, so appears to be growing normally. Guess I just ovulated a bit late!

I'm still bleeding, and none the wiser as to why, but as far as anyone can tell my baby is healthy regardless ❤️

I feel weirdly healthy. No sickness, breasts tender but nothing too bad, quite tired but manageable... Even the constipation isn't so bad now. I agree with @Carabu1, it's a bit odd feeling so fine! I just wish I hadn't gone off my staple foods. Poor DH orange sure what to make of our suddenly different menu at home (and he does three cooking!)
