@BabyG123 congrats mama ❤️💙💜

dixiedo · 20/06/2020 18:36

Aww lovely scan !!

@MilsCookie yes I just went for my usual size! I was worried with them not having a fly etc but it's fine super comfy !!! Happy I went for over the bump I think the support is quite nice.
I've been well thank you for asking! Sick once a day at the moment which is a huge improvement. Still off food though xx

MilsCookie · 20/06/2020 18:56

Ahhhhh gorgeous scan @babyg123!! You must be feeling so relieved! Love that you were bang on with your ovulation dates too.

@dixiedo glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm gonna have a look now at those exact jeans on your recommendation haha!

Bubbabee · 20/06/2020 19:04

@BabyG123 awww so lovely. So happy for you xxx

Carabu1 · 20/06/2020 19:29

Ahhh congrats @babyg123! Impressive estimate on your part too! You must feel so much better!

@dixido I’m also going for nhs scan on Monday - I thought I would be 12+4 as well, but was ahead at my private scan so I’ll have to see if that was accurate - I wouldn’t mind an Xmas rather than a ny baby, although it would be even more rubbish for them with birthdays....!

I’m jealous so many of you are in mat clothes already!! I have the tiniest bump, and have put on 1.5kg of flab from less exercise, but it’s no way enough to hold up mat jeans. I wish it was, because atm it feels like that awkward a stage where everything is just a bit too tight but not enough to justify new stuff!!

BabyG123 · 20/06/2020 19:59

So relieved.

The only thing is with my nhs scan Thursday the private scan sonographer said they won't see anything at 11 weeks on my tummy and they'll want me back.

Not sure whether to just call and explain rather than waste their and my time seeing nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️

@BabyG123 as the scan went well. You must be so relieved x

MilsCookie · 20/06/2020 21:09

@BabyG123 I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure they'd be able to see what's going on if they do an abdominal scan at 11 weeks. Mine measured 11+4 and could see everything so clearly! My friend is also 9 weeks pregnant and she said she had a private scan and they did it over her stomach rather than internally and could everything fine. Also, if they really can't see at 11 weeks they will just use an internal probe, I doubt they'd send you away and tell you to come back! (And if they do...you might get to see them twice 🥰)

BabyG123 · 20/06/2020 21:10

This is true. They looked today abdominally but couldn't see anything today.

Might just go anyway as have childcare in place

I completely forgot to mention the brown discharge showed up as a patch on the scan that I'll have more coming so wanted to reassure Ladies if it happens this could be the same for you!

@BabyG123 congrats! 😍 looks amazing!! Glad to hear all is well 👏🏻

MarvEll · 21/06/2020 09:09

Do I need to drink lots before my scan? I'm 9+6... Feel like I don't have any info!

Skyla01 · 21/06/2020 09:32

@BabyG123 would the nhs scan not also be able to do it internally if required?

@WoolyMammoth55 thank you :)

BabyG123 · 21/06/2020 09:55

Thanks girls

@Skyla01 I haven't got a clue. I'm just going to go anyway I think

@MarvEll drink 2 pints of water a hour before to enable it to be in your bladder if by tummy then if they need internal scan they just send you for a wee to empty

Hi all,

I'm currently 8+2 and have booked an early scan for weds so my partner can come. I'll be 8+5 and it's the day after his bday so fingers crossed for a nice birthday treat!

I'm being optimistic but also have the realistic part of me keeping myself in check in case all is not well. Obvs gonna be heartbroken if nothing can be found but trying to keep myself balanced.

Hope everyone is doing well and happy father day to all those dads and dads to be be!

Baba11 · 21/06/2020 10:30

@BabyG123 what was your experience with brown discharge? Iv had some this morning. Trying to avoid googling it

11wks

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 10:38

@BabyG123 with my daughter I had an nhs scan at 10weeks 3day and they could get all measurements they needed. That was 11years ago too 🙈..

@Baba11 I was experiencing brown discharge on Tuesday the day of my private scan. It was only bits throughout the day. I googled and apparently it is normal around the this stage of pregnancy. Keep an eye on the colour of it: hope your ok x

IshaPoet · 21/06/2020 10:57

@Baba11 yeah I've been having the same brownish discharge and I had a little achy feeling but I've booked a reassurance scan for tomorrow. Will feel relieved when I see everything is ok.

I know I had a little blood patch behind baby so the mw told me at my 7wk scan that I shouldn't be too worried but the panic always sets in as it happened with my last mc and my pregnancy with the twins so I'm just hoping I don't give the negative feelings too much thought.
Been praying and hoping all will be well so I can keep that positive thought going.

Baba11 · 21/06/2020 11:03

Thanks @IshaPoet @Bubbabee yeh I'm not going to over think it. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks last year but really believe if it is going to happen there is nothing I can do about it.
Maybe it just happens at 11 wks?
@Bubbabee how far were you wen you got it

Lollipop93 · 21/06/2020 11:53

Congrats everyone on your lovely scans and we are all getting through this first trimester one way or another hope you are all ok.

I had my booking in appointment yesterday. It was actually really good for something to happen and broke up the massive wait. 18 days to go till 12 weeks scan omg that feels too long hahaha.

She did half an hour over the phone talking about previous pregnancy and birth and family medical history etc then I had to go into the hospital for blood tests, urine sample and blood pressure etc. I find it so mad that up until this point all I have to prove I’m pregnant is a test from like week 5 lol. Really hope everything goes ok with the scan.

I’ve been sick everyday and the nausea and tiredness is there pretty much there all day I’m just willing on it to go away.

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 11:58

@Baba11 aww so sorry to hear that :(
I was 11weeks 1 day. I went for early scan Tuesday and thought I was 7weeks. Maybe it's something that happens at 11weeks the brown discharge x

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 12:01

I need to think positive. I mean since my scan and finding out I'm a month further I've had a full period and separate slight bleed and was none the wiser I was pregnant. It's strange that once you know there's a baby you panic x

MarvEll · 21/06/2020 14:06

Thanks @BabyG123! I had a reasonably full bladder and it was all fine :) wiggling away and everything!
