Hi ladies, how are we all? I’m in need of a bit of support today, if you can spare the time as I know we’re all in the same boat.
I’m having one of those days where I’m utterly convincing myself that I’m going to have another miscarraige 😢 I had a tiny bit of discharge this morning, I think, but I’m not even sure. I’m also having more pains and aches than usual, I think. But really I just feel so down and despondent. I don’t think I can go through another miscarraige. Please tell me we all have days like this? 😞

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 15:38

@Jean82 yeah you are not on your own. As hard as it is just try think positive or what I do is I think of something else or read and book and it relaxes my mind slightly. Or I even found the other day I had a little cry and then i was fine. I think as women we also think or expect the worst especially when pregnant as we become so protective. Going through a MMC in 2013 and thinking I could never fall pregnant again I'm so anxious each day I just think it's normal! I ask my partner every day if he thinks baby is ok! I just can't help it. What was your discharge like? Just try stay calm and breath xx

TerribleImagination · 21/06/2020 15:44

@Jean82 You’re not alone lovey ❤️ I had a MC in December and I definitely have days where I worry so much it’ll happen again. Pregnancy after loss is bloody scary and nerve wracking, but one thing I keep telling myself is that we’ve had our bad luck. The worst happened already and whilst some people do have multiple losses, that’s not as common at all so the odds really are on our side.

Try and move away from the negative thoughts when you have them, and remember that this is a new pregnancy and there’s a very good chance it’ll be a successful one.

Sending love, I know how tough it is ❤️

Baba11 · 21/06/2020 15:45

@Jean82 we all have days like these. It is an emotional time. After having a mc before it is only right you are anxious.
I felt the same this morning after I got some brown tinted discharge. However I have spent the day relaxing and am content with wat will b will b. Try and stay busy, this time will pass

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 15:47

@Bubbabee Thank you so, so much for your reassurance. Mine was also MMC so of course I worry all the time just like you but today it’s overwhelming. I’m not even sure what the discharge looked like, I used to check every time I went to the bathroom but I didn’t this time. And my cramps are more internally twingey than they have been recently. I did go for a run this morning for the first time in ages so that could be it.

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 15:48

@Baba11 Thank you, I’m trying to relax and eat all the chocolate I want ☺️

Skyla01 · 21/06/2020 16:07

@BabyG123 there must be loads of women who turn up to the 12wk scan a bit earlier than 12 wks. LMP isn't accurate for everyone. Would be surprised if they all have problems seeing things using abdominal scan so I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe make sure your bladder is fairly full to help?

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 16:24

@TerribleImagination Thank you, you know exactly how I feel. I try to be positive but some days are harder like today.

Lollipop93 · 21/06/2020 16:42

What is the difference between a MMC and a MC? Do you not get bleeding with MMC? What do they do if you have one?

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 16:49

@Lollipop93 Missed miscarraige just means that you get little or no symptoms. For me, I had a tiny bit of discharge at almost 12 weeks but it scared me enough to go get a private scan. It was there that they discovered my baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. Worst day ever.

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 16:51

@Lollipop93 Also, it meant that I had to go get a procedure done as the miscarraige never happened naturally. They gave me a week to see if it would and then scanned me again and I had a day procedure, like a D and C.
I’m so sorry guys, I feel like I’m bringing down the mood here!

Lollipop93 · 21/06/2020 17:11

Sorry too everyone, but I thought I would ask because never really sure exactly what is MMC. Just seems so cruel. :( we should bring a bit of positivity back to the thread I think! We are all doing our best and we can’t change anything and just need to try think positive and take each day as it comes xxx

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 17:36

@Jean82 your welcome 😍 it does sound like it was your run that's causing the twinges. Hope you've managed to relax a little x

Lexonby · 21/06/2020 17:39

@BabyG123 have a look on your report if it says retroverted uterus as that may be the reason they couldn’t see it properly via abdominal scan - that’s what Sonographer told me apparently makes it that more difficult to see the baby through the tummy scan xx

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 17:43

My MMC was the same. I had no symptoms what so ever.. although about 3 days before I found out my babies had stopped growing I felt some tugging at my belly button I had a swollen tummy all of a sudden then the next day nothing I felt normal like not pregnant then had my scan and babies had stopped growing at 14weeks + and I went at 15. They wouldn't tell me exact date as my birthday was around that time. Sorry for sad post. Just helps to talk about it x

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 18:17

@Bubbabee You poor thing, that is such a sad story. I remember at the time the doctor being so clinical and scientific about it, but it actually really helped me. They just explained that it was this one egg and this one sperm that just didn’t work out and it didn’t mean it would happen again. So I’m trying to remember that every day. And also trying to wish away the next 3 weeks till the 12 weeks scan.

Mumof4andahalf · 21/06/2020 18:57

@Jean82 this is naturally worrying time, we all seem to have our bad days, I had one friday!
I've had 2 miscarriages in 2 years, 1 was a blighted ovum and more recently a loss at 11 weeks, I had very little symptoms with either but the miscarriage was horrendous whereas the other was a little worse than a period.
Sorry to ramble on but I suppose what I'm trying to say is a lack of symptoms/cramping/spotting all seems to be perfectly normal xx

MayBug2020 · 21/06/2020 19:05

Having one of those moments where I just want to stop feeling sick and fancy food again! Just been sick after trying to have some dinner and now taken myself to bed to rest and watch a film! X

Lollipop93 · 21/06/2020 19:23

Aw I feel you @MayBug2020 I’m so impatient I just want to feel normal again. I was sick at lunch time after I had peanut butter on toast. Was horrendous. Just had a ready meal sausage and mash there and managed most of it but just hoping it stays down. This is no fun.

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 20:21

@Jean82 I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day for you. Don't be so hard on yourself (there's me who can give advice but not take my own)😂.. but no honestly I think if we didn't worry we wouldn't be normal just try not to let it take over your life. I'm sure everything will be perfectly fine and in some weeks time your worrying will be settled 👍

Jean82 · 21/06/2020 20:25

Thank you so much @Bubbabee @Mumof4andahalf and you all! You were just what I needed today. I ended up having a good cry and talking to my OH and sister and I feel much better. Thank you all for your support ❤️

Mumof4andahalf · 21/06/2020 20:37

@Jean82 anytime...that's what we're here for x

Bubbabee · 21/06/2020 20:44

@Jean82 anytime: 😘.. so happy I joined this group it made me feel not alone when your wanting to keep your pregnancy quiet xx

Wineandrun · 21/06/2020 21:02

Hi everyone, welcome to new ladies I’ve not said hello to yet! I’m now 8+3 I think with baby number 3 and feeling rotten, have been prescribed promethazine but still vomiting a few times a day. Any amount of exertion knocks me out. Also terrified about my first scan, haven’t got a date for it yet, got my booking with MW a week on Tuesday. I just want to feel well and then I just want to enjoy being pregnant! I can’t wait to start buying stuff 😂

BabyG123 · 21/06/2020 21:19

@Baba11 I had some when wiping just 2 or 3 times but apparently brown isn't always bad. That's what I was told. Hope you're ok.

Thanks ladies I'll check my report and just go to nhs see what happens xx
