Celibacydidntwork · 19/06/2020 21:28

Hi all, I’m 7 + 5 due 31/1. Have 3 older children and this is a surprise baby at 45 😬. Nice to meet you all x

nmw93 · 19/06/2020 21:53

@Celibacydidntwork Welcome and congrats!

@maybug2020 Oh I'm so nervous for my 12 week scan! So much so I paid for 2 private scans already. One at 7 weeks and one at 9+2. I've put the pictures below for comparison in baby growth, isn't it amazing guys? I just keep reminding myself that whatever will be, will be. I'm doing all I can to ensure baby is growing well and slowly but surely I'm starting to feel more and more excitement. There is always that little voice in my head, the worrier but, I try and remain positive.

@nmw93 aww fab photos. I'm just like you I'm so worried, I saw my baby Tuesday at a private scan and I just want to see it again to make sure all is ok xx

BabyG123 · 19/06/2020 23:31

This is what I was like with my son which is why I've painfully made myself wait this time. It didn't help my worry having a early scan or 2, Just meant I wanted more and more scans. 🤪

I've got an early scan booked tomorrow. Theoretically I should be 8+1 but have this sinking feeling I've had a MMC. No actual reason to think so. No bleeding or cramps, but still feeling doom.
Did anyone else feel like this Pre scan

Skyla01 · 20/06/2020 09:14

@MayBug2020 my nhs scan is on same day as yours. I'm also a bit nervous. I'm thinking everything my feel much more real after actually seeing the baby (well, if all goes well). I haven't felt very excited yet, despite this being a much wanted pregnancy. Firstly I'm a bit worried about mmc, but mainly I've been feeling rubbish for weeks and don't have the energy to feel excited about anything...!

IshaPoet · 20/06/2020 09:32

@sk283 I know what you mean. This feeling of dread when you haven't had any symptoms to show you've had a MMC but your heart won't be reassured until you see lil bub's heart beating away. You will be okay🙏🏽❤️💙💜

BabyG123 · 20/06/2020 09:56

@sk283 yup. Scan today and feeling dreadful. Should be excited.

Fingers crossed for us all!

@Skyla01 you have hit the nail on the head! I am exactly the same. I keep telling myself feeling rubbish is a good sign but worried about MMC and I am just so tired I can’t get excited about anything other than going to sleep on a night or having a nap! I also feel like it isn’t real - I keep questioning am I actually pregnant - a bit like you this baby was very wanted but I have told myself due to endometriosis I probably couldn’t have children xx

MissHoney85 · 20/06/2020 10:12

I have convinced my OH to get onboard with an early scan after weeks of trying - I got my midwife on the phone to answer his questions and she really helped to put his mind at ease about it. So were booked in for Tuesday when I should be about 10.5 weeks. 'Only' two weeks before my NHS scan but two weeks seems like a long time at the moment. I'm terrified of MMC, like most other people I guess! I haven't had nausea and most of my symptoms seem to come and go a lot. Boobs are fuller and slightly tender so hopefully that's a good sign. You never know until you see that heartbeat though. Lovely to see successful scan stories here, good luck to those with scans coming up.

Lexonby · 20/06/2020 10:37

Hi Ladies

I’m new to the thread! I’m due late January, currently just over 8 weeks. I’ve had 2 missed miscarriages since September last year and absolutely terrified it may happen again. I had a scan last week Friday when I was 7 weeks exactly and baby measured 9.5mm with a heart beat of 141 which Sonographer said was perfectly fine. Since then I’ve been having these weird pains which are definitely not cramps more like throbbing sensations in exact same place (right side) so pain doesn’t tend to move it just stays there. It comes and goes and normally only lasts a couple of seconds and I wouldn’t describe it as severe but quite sharp. Have any of you had these?

I really don’t want to get too paranoid about this and was hoping to wait until my 12 week scan but really itching to have another one done before then. I have my booking appointment next Friday.

Bubbabee · 20/06/2020 12:07

@BabyG123 good luck for your scan today xx

Baba11 · 20/06/2020 13:24

@Lexonby welcome. You are definitely on the right group as we are all very nervous.

@BabyG123 good luck for your scan today. Let us know how u get on x

Bubbabee · 20/06/2020 13:36

@Lexonby yeah I'm definitely an anxious wreck 😂

CoalCraft · 20/06/2020 15:27

@MilsCookie @nmw93 Aww you both have such lovely pictures! Wish I'd been able to get pics from my early scans but the epu don't give them out.

So excited for my routine scan on Wednesday, four days! And also very nervous. Have everything crossed that it'll all be okay.

11 weeks today going off previous scans, time is crawling lol

WoolyMammoth55 · 20/06/2020 15:52

Hello lovelies, just wanted to give you all a bit of reassurance. As far as we know we are pregnant and that's a wonderful thing!

dixiedo · 20/06/2020 15:56

@BabyG123 good luck today. !

There are some lovely scan pics and I'm excited to see the twins !! So exciting.
I feel huge today so uncomfortable! It was miserable before so popped out for a bit with a jumper and now I'm sweating.

I ordered some maternity jeans as I was walking around with my jeans unbuttoned and they were so saggy on my bum !
I went for the over the bump ones. I never had maternity clothes with my other two (can't think what I wore ??? It was summer so maybe dresses)
I ordered topshop JONI and they are amazing. I've been missing out. So comfortable and they're fitted everywhere else. I'm well happy with them tbh.

I have my 12 week scan on Monday in the hospital I tried calling about the partner policy but no answer at all yesterday so I'll be going alone. I should be 12 + 4
Exciting ! Xxxxx

Bubbabee · 20/06/2020 16:06

Hi does anybody know.. are we safe to go shopping in supermarkets now being pregnant?

MilsCookie · 20/06/2020 17:24

Hey @dixiedo hope you're well and the itching has stopped? So excited for your scan, not long to go now! I hope it's different at your hospital but unfortunately my partner wasn't allowed 😞 I find it a bit mad that they're allowing people to go to shopping centres but partners cant't go to scans. Hopefully it will change at some point in our pregnancies! Was going to ask about the maternity jeans cos I'm getting to the stage where I need some too, did you just go for the same size as you usually are?

BabyG123 · 20/06/2020 17:46

Thank you ladies. All fine! I've been so worried!!!

Amazing little dancer!

As I predicted 10+2 which is exactly my ovulation date.

Lmp 11+4
