@BabyG123 I know. I wake up every morning with phlegm at the back of my throat which is what is making me gag. It’s horrid but apparently it’s because of the excess mucus produced - how lovely lol

How is everyone’s sickness? The thought of food is still making me feel sick so I can’t cook but trying to eat what I can xx

Jean82 · 18/06/2020 09:29

My sickness isn’t bad at all during the day but then in the evenings I can’t look at food and get horrible waves of it and gagging. It’s so unpleasant. I’ve tried eating plain toast or ginger biscuits but last night neither helped. I have to keep reminding myself I haven’t got it bad, I haven’t actually vomited yet and it is a good sign that my baby is growing but it can be hard to remind yourself of that all the time! Anyone know why I get it in the evenings and not the mornings?

Bubbabee · 18/06/2020 09:41

@MayBug2020 it's nausea for me it's so so bad! I still have my tablets I can take. It's worse on a evening. I barely eat because I'm scared then when I don't I feel nauseous anyway 🙄. Can't win haha.. Hope everyone is ok today. Finally fell asleep around 2am and had restless sleep as per 👍

Lollipop93 · 18/06/2020 09:48

It’s terrible @BabyG123 I actually pulled a muscle in my back with the actual violent attacks of gagging and being sick :/

TerribleImagination · 18/06/2020 10:13

@Jean82 The nausea does tend to get worse the more tired you get, so maybe that’s why it’s worse in the evenings? I have it all day, but it’s definitely noticeably worse by the evening 🤢

MayBug2020 · 18/06/2020 10:23

Yes I have noticed that I feel sick in the evenings but unfortunately morning sickness can be at any time of the day - the joys!

Anyone who isn’t having their first provide insight into the second trimester - do you start to feel more like yourself again? X

blueskiesandapples · 18/06/2020 10:36

@maybug2020 i've been having the mucus in the back of my throat too, and it keeps making me gag and nearly throw up if I try and clear it, but feel sick if I don't! Delightful!

Seems like a lot of my symptoms have suddenly gone away which is concerning, but i've seen on the thread that several of you have had the same. i'm 7+4.

Hope you're all doing ok today! x

Wineandrun · 18/06/2020 10:58

@MayBug2020 with my first two I got sooo much better by about 11-12 weeks. We went on holiday when I was 13 weeks with number 2 and I felt absolutely fine. This time the sickness and nausea is a lot worse for me (now on medication which is helping the nausea but knocking me out, I took it yesterday and woke up on my bed, shoes on, my 7 year old tucking me in and closing my curtains, I was horrified, luckily my 4 year old was engrossed in the telly and hadn’t noticed anything!) but I hoping it passes in the next few weeks. I do a lot of exercise but with my others and this time I couldn’t do anything in the first trimester, by the third trimester I was teaching spinning and doing decent workouts again. I actually forgot I was pregnant a lot of the time with number 2! Hoping to reach that stage again soon 😂

Skyla01 · 18/06/2020 11:02

@Wineandrun that's reassuring to here. I can't wait to feel normal again. I also am normally very active but all I'm managing just now is one forced 20min jog on a Saturday. My diet is rubbish too and I have no energy or motivation for anything. Thank God for lock down in a way. It's like I'm a totally different person!!

Wineandrun · 18/06/2020 11:04

I dropped the kids off at school this morning and have been sat on the sofa like a potato ever since, looking at the mess around me and trying to work up some motivation!

TerribleImagination · 18/06/2020 11:07

@Skyla01 I’m SO grateful for lockdown in that sense! I also got furloughed last week, so that’s been even better 😂 I honestly don’t know how I’d have managed having to crack on totally as normal!

I’m 10+6 now and really hoping the 2nd trimester is as wonderful for feeling human again as I’ve been told 😆🤞🏻 Only a couple more weeks to go!

Skyla01 · 18/06/2020 11:17

I'm still going to work so Monday- Friday is a killer marathon and then only 2 days to recover at the weekend. Poor DP I can hardly be bothered chatting to him once I get home. Roll on 2nd trimester!

9+5

TerribleImagination · 18/06/2020 11:32

@Skyla01 You’re a trooper lovey! 💪🏻 Hopefully only a few more weeks and you’ll be feeling much better!

IshaPoet · 18/06/2020 12:03

Morning beautiful Ladies,

I'm feeling so blah blah blah today v.nauseous and woke up with a ball of phlegm at the back of my throat. Why can't men carry the babies like seahorses 😂
Like we seriously put ourselves through a lot while they sit their rubbing the bellies lol sorry for the rant my hubby is literally eating a chicken pate salad sandwich licking his lips and I wanna smack it out of his hand so he can't enjoy it but that would be too much right 😂 I'm missing my favourites foods a lot now 🥺

Bubbabee · 18/06/2020 12:16

@IshaPoet sorry but your post made me laugh.. last night I asked my partner to stir the meatballs which he kindly did and because he said the sauce would dry out I flipped and told him to get out and i would do it myself!!! Whoops psycho 🙈.. So with my new date 11weeks 3 that mean my symptoms start week 7 which I thought was quite late and are still carrying on.. has anybody found that an early private scan has been accurate with dates?

lilypad88 · 18/06/2020 12:38

Hello ladies, I see a lot of you still struggling with sickness... Mine is okay in the morning after I eat something, although my breakfast went from very healthy to miserable 🤣 I feel really nauseous in the evenings though and have to go to bed quite early.

@blueskiesandapples I am like that, most of my symptoms have faded away now, apart from nausea in the evenings, my boobs feel normal, don't have any pulling cramping anymore, tiredness has improved too, but the lady at my early scan said it's totally normal, it might comes and goes, nothing to worry about :)

7+3

MayBug2020 · 18/06/2020 13:11

The mucus at the back of the throat is so annoying. I have had it for about 2 weeks now and it’s not going. I am 9+1 nausea is manageable when I am wearing my sickness bands and eating often, tiredness is still strong and I too have to go to bed early. My boobs have been normal for a few weeks now although they hurt for the first few weeks. My husband is living off ready meals as I just can’t cook.

I am still working full time but luckily from home which is a lot better.

How is everyone getting on with sleeping on their left side? I have to turn onto my right and back and forth through the night! X

CoalCraft · 18/06/2020 13:17

Feeling better today; no blood so far and more comfortable in my tummy. Actually feeling pretty much normal at the moment, not even very tired! From experience though it will kick in later and I'll be in bed at 10pm. Can't wait for the weekend. 9-5 five days a week seems extra gruelling at the moment.

I'm definitely getting noticeably thicker around the middle now, not many of my jeans still comfy. I'm sure it's more bloating than a real bump. I don't think anyone would really notice when I'm fully dressed.

CoalCraft · 18/06/2020 14:17

I shouldn't have said I didn't feel tired, suddenly exhausted D:

Hopefulmummie · 18/06/2020 14:31

So I've ended up being admitted to hospital again :( I went for my scan this morning which showed the pregnancy has got slightly bigger than last week so they told me I would more than likely require surgery as methotrexate injection hadn't worked.

Then they were asking me did I want to try another dose of methotrexate or go for surgery which is a big decision to make.
In the end my blood results came back and showed that pregnancy levels have actually went down
Methotrexate affects the liver and tests have shown mine has got worse so they don't want to have to give me it unless it's necessary.
I'm being kept in overnight to have more tests done tomorrow and if levels go down again hopefully I will be allowed home and no more treatment

Bubbabee · 18/06/2020 15:05

@Hopefulmummie oh gosh sounds an awful time for you. Hope your home soon xx

MayBug2020 · 18/06/2020 15:45

Just collected my food shop and put it away and now I am so tired. 10pm is late for me at the moment - I have been getting into bed at like 8 and watching a bit of tele but don’t think I am making it past 9:30! And that is sometimes with a nap in the day!

@Hopefulmummie sorry to hear you are back in hospital - hopefully tomorrow’s tests show it is going in the right direction to avoid any further treatment for you. We are all thinking of you xx

blueskiesandapples · 18/06/2020 16:26

@lilypad88 that is reassuring, thank you!

@Hopefulmummie so sorry to hear that. Sending virtual hugs. x

How do private scans work? Are there reputable providers or just google in your area? Have any of you been allowed to take partners? i'm not due a scan for several weeks yet but the waiting is killing me haha!

Bubbabee · 18/06/2020 16:32

@blueskiesandapples I just googled nearest in my area. Unfortunately I had to go alone which was very scary but was nice to see baby xx
