@MilsCookie no I haven't had any scans yet. I have my nhs scan in 3 weeks. So holding out till then.

@lilypad88 thanks. I have regular 28 day cycles and know I ovulated in 14th day.

@BabyG123 you are right, cycle length can make a big difference.

Bubbabee · 15/06/2020 22:40

I've no idea what to count from.. women's periods and ovulation are what confuse me the most haha.. hoping all is ok with my scan in the morning 🤞

Baba11 · 16/06/2020 07:20

@Bubbabee hope your scan goes well chick

CoalCraft · 16/06/2020 09:51

@Bubbabee Good luck with your scan!

8 days to go till my dating scan, literally counting down the days lol

Had a bit of bleeding again over the last few days. Trying not to read anything into it as it's been happening since virtually the very beginning, but it still worries me every time. Also having some vague, variable aches and pains in my abdomen, but I think it's a mix of stretching and intestinal discomfort.

Otherwise feel fine, still tired with sore boobs but very little nausea or any other symptom really.

10+3 going off previous scans.

Bubbabee · 16/06/2020 10:08

@CoalCraft @Baba11 thank you. I'm parked outside crying a nervous wreck. I've just been to the toilet and wiped and got brown discharge. I'm so worried 😔

CoalCraft · 16/06/2020 10:36

@Bubbabee Ah it's so scary isn't it :( Try not to panic very shortly you will know xx

T2020 · 16/06/2020 10:41

@bubbabee hope it all goes well for you.

I had some spotting last week and had an early scan at the EPU yesterday baby was fine with a strong heartbeat and measured at 8 weeks, feeling much better apart from the nausea!

Newbee123 · 16/06/2020 10:49

@Bubbabee ah hun you will be fine try not to worry I had some spotting too let us know how it goes !

Bubbabee · 16/06/2020 11:44

Hi all... so I have been and was so so scared as the discharge is still there.. But my Bubbabee was waving and kicking around with a very strong heartbeat 💓 measuring 11weeks +1 so not the 7+4 I thought... Eeeek still worried about the discharge but all looked ok 👌

Thank you all for your kind reassurance 😘

CoalCraft · 16/06/2020 11:46

@Bubbabee Delighted to hear everything looked good. Try not to panic about a little bit of blood, I believe it's quite common around that stage of pregnancy. I'd mention to midwife though xx

MayBug2020 · 16/06/2020 12:16

Great scan photos @Bubbabee :)

@Pol96 I am struggling with the working while tired but I don’t know how others are coping with toddlers and morning sickness and tiredness - hero’s! My alarm is getting later and later each day haha. How are you today? Out of bed? :)

X

lilypad88 · 16/06/2020 12:24

@Bubbabee oh wouahh!! Amazing scan! 😍 so how come you're measuring so much more then?? Were you not sure about your dates?

lilypad88 · 16/06/2020 12:28

I'm feeling so exhausted today, literally can't do anything.... I felt a little depressed last night weirdly, I don't know if the lockdown is finally taking its toll on me or if it's the hormones but although I'm buzzing since I saw my little bean, I can't help but feeling really down at the same time, I'm bored and obviously not being able to do much doesn't help... do you guys ever feel like that?...

BabyG123 · 16/06/2020 12:28

@Bubbabee wow! That's almost a month ahead! Did you fall pregnant the month before without knowing?

Lovely pic! So Nervous about mine Saturday.

Like it's all I can worry and think about

Haven't had a good read through to catch up yet as I've been so exhausted but had another scan yesterday and saw little bean fluttering away! Saw the little arm and leg buds twitching and a strong heart beat which was so lovely!

9+4 today :)

Lollipop93 · 16/06/2020 12:42

Congrats bubbabee! AmaZing scan pic!! So exciting you are in fact 11 weeks.

Lilypad88 yes I’ve been feeling like that, I’m putting it down to the hormones and being in lockdown, not being able to tell anyone the news and also the sickness and tiredness. Sometimes it’s so hard to feel positive and you almost forget who you are. It does get better though in my last pregnancy the hormones levelled out and I enjoyed the second trimester and the only thing from then was in the third trimester having a big bump meant not great sleeps etc but that is sooo much more manageable compared to the first trimester hormones etc!
Just over three weeks till my nhs scan I cannot wait...

I’m having a couple of dilemmas...
My work is restructuring and just found out the other day I will be getting a new manager which isn’t ideal because it will be like hi nice to meet you and oh btw I’m pregnant and will be leaving for mat leave in January.

The other thing is my friend is planning on having a social distance gathering for her hen doo as her original one was cancelled due to covid. I don’t plan on telling people about pregnancy until after 12 week scan but this get together is next week but can I really hide it? And also I’m feeling like crap and can’t really face it. I don’t want her thinking I don’t care :(

Sorry for the massive paragraph girls but it’s just so good having somewhere to offload 😂

9 weeks

Pol96 · 16/06/2020 12:58

Congratulations on the scans ladies!

@MayBug2020 I'm up.. Just! But feel awful.. Yes I don't know how these amazing ladies are doing it with toddlers! Looking forward to getting some energy back.

@lilypad88 I feel like that too. I also think it's a combination of lockdown and hormones.

@Lollipop93 I'm also getting a new manager and will have to tell them I'll be going for maternity leave in January. I only found out my current manager was leaving after I was already about 6 weeks pregnant. I'll first meet my new manager when I'm 20 weeks (term time setting) as for the hen do, could you take your own drink and just sit far enough away and only be there for a short time?

CoalCraft · 16/06/2020 13:00

So tiiired. Want to go home for a nap but the end of the work day is a long way away!

@Lollipop93 That is unfortunate timing re restructuring but I wouldn't worry about it. You are well within your rights and any manager who takes it badly would be completely out of line

As for the hen doo, unless you're sure you don't want to go (reasonable) why not indicate you're going and see how you feel closer to the time? Unless you are maid of honour or otherwise involved in organising, it wouldn't be too bad for you to pull out citing illness, and you can always explain to the bride once you've made the pregnancy public. You may find you feel much better by then and the thought of hanging out with mates for a bit may seem appealing xx

Lollipop93 · 16/06/2020 13:17

@Pol96 it’s nice to hear we are in similar situations! I’m such a stress head, we have no dates for when the restructure will happen and just feel it will probably be bang in the time I would have announced I was pregnant but suppose can’t change anything and your right @CoalCraft they can’t really have an issue with it I just need to grin and bare the awkwardness lol.

Both your suggestions about the hen are so helpful thank you! I think I will just go along as normal and see how I feel on the day! Won’t be long till everyone knows the news anyway.

MayBug2020 · 16/06/2020 13:17

@Pol96 sorry to hear you are not feeling great. I am literally laying on my sofa as I am in my lunch break thinking I may need to shut my eyes for 20mins to get through the afternoon.

@lilypad88 I am the same. I think everything we go through in the first trimester plays with us and we don’t know how to feel or feel like ourselves do to tiredness and sickness.

Does anyone else on here suffer from anxiety and if so are you in medication for it? X

Bubbabee · 16/06/2020 13:36

@lilypad88
@BabyG123
I didn't have a period feb or March then my one in April was heavy so just calculated from there but seems I conceived a month earlier so throughout this pregnancy I've had a full period and a little bleed and today it was dark brown discharge. Baby was waving and so active. I can't quite believe I'm that much more forward. At first she said 10+6 then baby stretched out
Hope everyone is ok today. I'm feeling the same nauseous and sore boobs. 🙈

Bubbabee · 16/06/2020 13:37

@BabyG123 fingers crossed all is ok with your scan Saturday xx

Bubbabee · 16/06/2020 13:38

@Lollipop93 thank you 😊
I hope your ok, I know the feeling of having somewhere to offload I could write a book on here haha

Carabu1 · 16/06/2020 13:51

@lollipop93 - yes, its hard! I'm struggling a lot with lockdown. I also start a new job, at a new employer, in Sept, and am worried about telling them as it will literally be: hello, I'm off on mat leave in 3 months, then goodbye. I was hired in Feb though, so the long lead in means not much can be done. Just have to hope they take it well - but not having any pre-existing relationship with them I don't really know if they will....! Just thankful I'll still get full mat pay - I do think the continuous employment at same employer rules are quite harsh in sectors where people move about a lot.
