Good luck for your scans everyone! I've got mine on Sunday 💛 can't wait to see the photos!

All my symptoms have disappeared, apart from being a bit tired. I'm 9 weeks today, they went over the weekend. I think this is when things can settle, so maybe normal. But obviously I'm overthinking @lilypad88 @dixiedo 😄

IshaPoet · 15/06/2020 09:11

Morning Ladies,

Good luck for all the scans today. I've been feeling so unwell the nausea and sensitive to smells is 🥺 strained myself slightly yesterday by lifting my oldest twin on to my back and my youngest twin twirling around my legs.

So I called the antenatal this morning to find out my appointment for booking in as I still haven't had it so they given me the 24th June for booking in and 22nd July for my first scan. It doesn't feel like it's too far away but still have to wait patiently 😊

Sunshinedahlia · 15/06/2020 09:18

Good luck with your scan @lilypad88 ! Are they doing it internally? I‘m having mine this afternoon, they said will be internal. I guess I don‘t need to drink lots of water in that case? Have no idea and they didn‘t give any special instructions 🤷🏻‍♀️
They‘re also doing blood tests today which I‘m absolutely dreading! I‘m 7w+5.

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 09:37

@IshaPoet ahhh take it easy! Hopefully all should be good !

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 09:39

@Sunshinedahlia sorry I don't mean to sound silly but what's an internal scan ? I haven't had my first scan yet I have an appointment today through the phone I'm supposed to be taking bloods today but they said I will have to just do everything in July when my first scan is

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 09:40

@IshaPoet oh god I can't even take any smells atm even my coffee table smells weird to me I feel awful 😭 hoping it gets better and also seeing as you have already had kids any advice ? I'm so nervous about labour and I'm only 8 weeks I'm not sure if it's because of the shows I've been watching on bbc iPlayer to do with birth haha ! 😟

Sunshinedahlia · 15/06/2020 11:01

@Newbee123 they put a probe inside your vagina! 👍 I think they do it early on as they can‘t always see or hear something with the normal external ultrasound at this stage. It’s otherwise known as a transvaginal ultrasound. Will be able to tell you much more later on if you‘re interested!

Lollipop93 · 15/06/2020 11:21

Good luck everyone with your scans!! Can’t wait to see photos :)

IshaPoet · 15/06/2020 11:56

@Newbee123 the twins Labour was not too bad honestly.

Isabella my oldest twin her head came on it's own but my Ayva was laying sideways so the mw had to put her arm up inside to grab her by her ankle and bring her down booty first- all natural no caesarean no episiotomy. I had a epidural which was a big mistake 1- it only took on one side of my body so I could still feel everything, 2- the back ache afterwards has been miserable even now after 3 years I'm still feeling it.

BUT without the epidural I would've kicked the mw in the face for being elbow deep in my lady garden. The bit that has scarred me and has me worried about delivery is they left one of the placentas inside and I had major bleeding and I nearly died. Obviously the girls were early 37 weeks and had some issues after birth but thankfully and luckily my girls are ok now. Ayva has autism and hyper mobility and Asperger, Isabella has autism and an form of giantism she's the size of a 6yr old and she 3 half my height (5ft1)

Pain medicine is marvellous lol the gas and air is the only thing I'll be taking. They had me dosed up on pethidine codeine gas and air epidural- I was in lulu land by the time I was done and even after.

Newbee123 · 15/06/2020 12:00

lilypad88 · 15/06/2020 13:18

Hello ladies!

Back from the scan and happy to say everything looks well and healthy!! 🥰😍

Measuring 7weeks (so I was right counting from my ovulation date), nearly 1cm long! And we saw a heartbeat! I'm over the moon, I couldn't hold crying, it makes things so much more real now 🤩

@Sunshinedahlia They didn't have to do it internally in my case, we could see it straight away. I was convinced I'd have to do it internally as I had to pee 15 min before the app, I was dying honestly... I'm really bad at holding my pee 🤣

Hello ladies, welcome to the newbies and congratulations to those that have had or having their scans today.

I am 8+5 and I am so tired. I can sleep for 10-12 hrs at night and then still tired during the day...anyone else feeling this way? X

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 16:31

@MayBug2020 me! I'm tired all the time, no matter how much I sleep. I'm 8+4 today. Finally had my booking appointment so feeling a bit more real.

Glad the scan went well @lilypad88!

MayBug2020 · 15/06/2020 16:45

@Pol96 is it making you miserable because you can’t do anything and just want to sleep all the time? I have just finished work and going to try have a little nap xx
