@Bubbabee aw fab we are close by due dates. How are you feeling?

Grumpy19 · 11/06/2020 14:57

Hi all.
I had my booking appointment this morning which has made it all feel more real! It took ages as we had to talk through each of my previous pregnancies and labours.

I am just feeling so sick! I empathise with you all. Even scrolling down posts on my phone makes me feel queasy!

@Hopefulmummie I hope you have some good, strong painkillers. I am thinking of you. X

@Sophiamel987 @Bubbabee meee, I'm due 28th Jan 😃 still haven't heard back about booking in appt yet but going to book a private scan for 9 weeks I think

T2020 · 11/06/2020 15:17

Sorry @TTC24 meant to tag you in the last post too!

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 15:58

@lilypad88 nah maccers will be fine. Only thing they suggest to avoid is MC flurries as we aren't supposed to have whipped ice cream.

@Sunshinedahlia I can't be exhausted. Surely. I sleep 11-6 and nap 1-2 hours in the day. Maybe it's because my son is only just 1 so I know what real exhausted is like from not so long ago 🤣

Do they ask lots of questions about partners family / health at the booking in? Got mine tomorrow and wondering if I should know any answers! We've only been together for a couple of years so quite possible there's things I don't know about him 😄 should he be on hand for questions, but maybe not on the call?

Tallulahs09 · 11/06/2020 16:27

Hey all,

I'm due 27th January going by my last period but had an early scan yesterday and that has me due 25th January.

Been trying 3 years since a miscarriage so I'm a nervous wreck but trying to keep calm x

Wineandrun · 11/06/2020 17:18

@MarvEll I took my husband with me to my booking with my first pregnancy, they do need to know quite a lot. And it really helped to make him feel involved!

StephS1984 · 11/06/2020 17:47

@MarvEll I had my booking appointment over WhatsApp video call today and there are lots of questions about yours and your partners family’s health. One of the questions about my family I didn’t know the actual diagnosis, so I just have to send my midwife a message once my family send over the details. It was a really good appointment and they explain what will happen at all the appointments coming up.

In addition to the booking appointment, my local maternity hospital normally had a “newly pregnant” open evening every couple of months. Instead they have loads of videos on Facebook to watch, which I have been finding really interesting, so check with your midwife if your hospital does similar. They also have all the antenatal courses as Facebook videos too.

@Wineandrun @StephS1984 that's great thank you! He's working from home tomorrow so I'll bring him in when I have questions for him!
I'm kinda looking forward to it & feeling a bit more clued in!

Jean82 · 11/06/2020 17:55

Hi gals, had my early scan yesterday. Booked a private one as I had an MMC at 122 weeks last October and couldn’t face waiting till 12 weeks for a scan this time. It was incredible to see a tiny heartbeat, a head and even arm buds! It made it all so real. Baby is measuring a week behind my dates but I ovulated late so I think that’s normal? Also, I had an internal scan and then yesterday evening I had a small bit of pink when I wiped, I presume this is normal too? Any feedback is appreciated ☺️

Was 8+3, now 7+3

CoronaBaby · 11/06/2020 18:10

Hey girls! How are you all? I commented on the last thread but had been having a fair bit of spotting and was quite anxious so have just kept up with you all but not been commenting!
Currently 7+6 and feeling good, a bit tired but like you @BabyG123 my DD is only 11 months so I feel I’ve been dealing with the tiredness quiet well! Today was the first day I had to go for a nap!
I had an early scan at 7+3 in the EPU due to the spotting which showed a heart beat and everything as it should be although she said I was more 7+1 but as it was an abdominal scan I’m not going getting too hung up on it!
I hope you are all well! @Hopefulmummie sorry to hear what you are going through xx

MoltenLasagne · 11/06/2020 18:17

@MayBug2020 Thanks- it is reassuring the midwife says its normal definitely! We'd been trying 2 years and were about to start private IVF until covid happened so I'm feeling pretty paranoid at times. I think if all goes well at the scan on Saturday I should be reassured. How are you doing today?

MayBug2020 · 11/06/2020 18:28

@MoltenLasagne fingers crossed you get to see your little bean on Saturday. I am feeling pretty rubbish today - nausea is constant and I am exhausted. How are you? Xx

Sophiamel987 · 11/06/2020 19:15

@Jean82 Hi, When I had a scan in a previous pregnancy the midwife advised I might get some light bleeding after the internal scan so I think it’s quite normal :-)

@MarvEll They did ask quite a few in debt questions but luckily mine and my husbands close family don’t have any conditions or anything that they needed to be aware so was quite straight forward for me , might be worth having him to hand if your unsure 😊

Bubbabee · 11/06/2020 19:23

@Sophiamel987 passed few weeks I was so nauseous and exhausted but seems to have settled slightly. Can't eat fatty meals tho :( I seem to have got insomnia due to restless legs but feel more normal this week. Extremely sore boobs tho. What about you?

Carabu1 · 11/06/2020 19:46

@MarvEll I did mine on speakerphone so my husband could chip in. I wouldn’t have been confident knowing all his family’s history (not that there is much).

Feel like time is really dragging this week. Think once I get to to Monday and it’s days rather than weeks til the scan I’ll feel better though. Can anyone who has had pregnancies before advise on whether the worry gets better? I can’t imagine being this stressed out until January - I feel like I’m going mental...!
11 (exactly!)

Sophiamel987 · 11/06/2020 19:49

@Bubbabee I’m the same just nauseous and tired and I was struggling to sleep but been a bit better this week 😊

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 19:57

@Jean82 according to my lmp I'm 10+2 but I know I have long cycles so it won't be the case.

Wineandrun · 11/06/2020 20:09

@Carabu1 the worry never stops, once the baby arrives there’s even more to worry about!!!

imabusybee · 11/06/2020 20:44

Had my early scan and little bean is 5.5mm so measuring at 6 weeks! Blown my mind because there's only one date we had sex so I thought I was minimum 7 weeks but more likely 9? So confused. EDD is now 4th Feb but I'm just gonna speak to my midwife at my booking appt next week & wait for my 12 week NHS dating scan Confused

lilypad88 · 11/06/2020 21:37

@imabusybee but all is okay? What did they say? I've seen here on this thread (can't remember who sorry guys) that at this early it can sometimes grow a little slow and then catch up later?

What did you see then? I've got my early scan on Monday, wondering if I'll see anything...

mitchellpj · 11/06/2020 21:48

Hi all, can really relate to the anxiety, I’m 6+6 wks not really having any symptoms which is adding to my anxiety as I’ve had 4 recurrent miscarriages. Due to current restrictions I can’t have an early scan through NHS but am too scared to book a private scan as I’m worried about the outcome, rock and a hard place! Time is definitely standing still...

imabusybee · 11/06/2020 21:49

@lilypad88 yep all okay otherwise, tiny heart beating away! I've attached a pic of my teeny one Grin

January 2021 due date- bus 3!
lilypad88 · 11/06/2020 21:58

@imabusybee oh little sweet pea 😍 that's great news! As long as everything looks good, you shouldn't worry too much, it will probably catch up in size in the next few weeks :)
