@CoalCraft thank you for your message that is reassuring. Sorry to hear you have been going through this for 5 weeks unlit so pleased your scans have been positive and your little bean is there. I was going to wait for my 12 week scan but now I am thinking should I have one in a couple of weeks but I think I will just keep an eye on it.

I am the same with you and the pill - I have a private scan at what I thought was 7 weeks but actually they said it looked more like a 5 week pregnancy so I got referred to EPU and I was rescanned a week later to show a little bean and a heart beat so holding on to that and trying to stay positive.

I am sorry to go into detail but it’s not every time and only a little bit of a brown tinge in my discharge but nothing staining my underwear. I am hoping I am just over acting as I can do that.

I was also worried my nausea had gone but this afternoon it’s come back slightly xx

I’m feeling like absolute crap. Lying on the couch trying not to be sick.

dixiedo · 10/06/2020 21:07

Hi everyone.
I've been quiet but reading.

Maybe TMI coming up ...
I feel terrible and I've now got thrush !!!! It's sore and thick discharge so dr said they'll give me the cream for now see if it clears up. I'm fuming. I'm so uncomfortable. Pretty sure I'm getting another UTI as well which will be my 5th round of antibiotics In 11 weeks. (No wonder I have thrush)
I haven't had bad thrush before as far as I can remember so any tips will be much appreciated!

Also we DTD Monday and I became sore Tuesday but he said he is too!! Can men catch thrush?!

Hope you're all well.
My sickness is finally settling too. Only in the morning when I walk into the kitchen and if I open the fridge. I can't go near the fridge or the mop bucket. Poor DP hasn't had a full home cooked meal for weeks.

I have another scan tomorrow should be 10+6 and then my 12 week one is the 22nd!

Hope you're all good ladies xxX

MilsCookie · 10/06/2020 21:23

Hi @dixiedo - I'm also one of the quiet ones but always reading! But had to reply to you because I really feel your pain. I had a mmc in Nov last year and had had antibiotics during that pregnancy for a UTI, then another dose of antibiotics after the surgery for my mmc to help prevent infection, so two lots of ABs within about a month. Then about 3 weeks after taking those last set of ABs I developed mild thrush symptoms that came and went. In Feb it was starting to get me down because it kept coming and going, and was particularly there around my fertile week which was obviously NOT ideal TTC! So I went to the GP and after describing my symptoms he actually diagnosed it as bacterial vaginosis, so prescribed me MORE antibiotics. With hindsight I wish I'd never taken those because they just made the whole situation worse so a month later I decided to take myself to the STI clinic for a swab, and they said it was thrush!!! So they gave me a pessary and the cream and I thought that would sort it. It then got to May (so it's now been over 4 months of on and off thrush and nothing working) and I had just had my BFP so called the GP and luckily he prescribed me 9 (yes nine!) pessaries to use, one a night every night for the next 9 nights. And I can say with SO much relief that it hasn't been back since then! (So about a month now since I finished the treatment). I think my repeat antibiotics had just totally stripped away the good bacteria in my foof and I had a particularly nasty/stubborn bout of thrush. So I would definitely recommend asking your doctor for more than 1/a course of pessaries because it was the only thing that worked for me!

Sorry for the long post!!

10+0

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 22:49

Hi all thought I'd write a bit of an update ..

I've had a tough day today firstly finding out I'll be here to Sunday. I've been in a lot of pain from about 12 today .. the worst pain on my left hand side where pregnancy is.. Dr said its to be expected once injection starts working I guess it's made worse knowing what's actually happening and bleeding more.
They gave me something stronger as I was in agony but I'm not great with strong pain relief and it completely wiped me out and made me feel horrible then I threw everything up :( it was a horrible few hours.
Still in pain but hoping to get something stronger soon to help me sleep. I slept ok last night woke up about 5 am today but think it will be different tonight as I had no pain last night

No visitors allowed up into the ward which is shit but I've been able to go downstairs to meet my husband and mummy and sister it was nice seeing them for the 1st.

I'm in a side ward so even more boring but think they'll be moving me to the main ward once my covid results come back clear.

Again thank you all for the thoughts x

Hopefulmummie · 10/06/2020 22:50

P.s I hope you are all doing ok x

dixiedo · 10/06/2020 23:16

@MilsCookie no thank you so much for that post! Sounds very similar. I definitely do think it's thrush after reading and googling images (weirdo that I am) I have no sores and typical symptoms although DP getting it did alarm me though the internet says it's okay.
I'll call up tomorrow and ask for repeat pessaries. Especially if I am going to need another round of AB..
I am worried about the baby. I feel like I've already took too much throughout these early weeks. I tried my best to not take the anti sickness and I'm running myself into the ground avoiding medicines.
I have a banging headache too. It sounds awful and probably not linked but my DS5 had aml leukaemia at around 7 months. He also has high functioning ASD (perhaps Aspergers, still testing) which is very debilitating and completely life consuming especially at the moment. I know I probably could never have prevented these things but I want to try to protect this one as much as I can. ☹️ sorry I'm having an emotional night. Xxxxx

BabyG123 · 10/06/2020 23:31

@dixiedo men can indeed catch thrush. Defo both need treating happened to us. Sorry you're having such a hard time of it.

@Hopefulmummie I'm hoping the bring you more meds soon to help the pain. Thinking about You often.

Can anyone help me estimate how many weeks I am? This little one wasn't planned, so I haven't been tracking my periods or ovulation or anything. I do know the only date we had sex was 23rd April - does that make me 6+6 or 8+6? I'm so confused reading online.
Got an early scan tomorrow so should have a better picture then anyway but just wanted to see if anyone can clarify.

@Hopefulmummie sorry you're in pain, and not able to have visitors. That's absolutely shit. Hope you manage to get some decent pain relief so you can sleep tonight Flowers

Pinkpaintlover · 11/06/2020 06:17

@imabusybee makes you 9 weeks today from lmp (add on 2 weeks prior for assumed first day of period).

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 07:20

@imabusybee you can actually fall
Pregnant when you aren't ovulating. I had the same thing before. The only way to tell is your scan.

Thanks!

CoalCraft · 11/06/2020 08:40

Think I must have slept awkwardly last night; every time I move the bottom of my back just above my bum twinges :/

Otherwise fine apart from tingly boobs. Didn't lose any blood yesterday or so far today, so longest stretch without seeing red for a while :)

9+5 by measurements

CoalCraft · 11/06/2020 08:43

I'm really feeling the tiredness in general at the moment. Could hardly keep my eyes open from like 3pm in work yesterday, power nap when I got home at six ish, then was nodding again by 10pm :/

Baba11 · 11/06/2020 09:37

@CoalCraft I had a similar sort of pain 2 mornings ago. Was my Lower back and it felt like i had slept awkward. The tiredness I hear ya. Iv been havin power naps at 4 everyday. Then come evening,I'm out as soon as my head hits the pillow. I really thought would start getting better.

9+4

TTC24 · 11/06/2020 11:33

@Hopefulmummie I hope you are okay, you are in my thoughts lovely xx

Is anybody else due the backend of Jan?

Bubbabee · 11/06/2020 12:13

@TTC24 yeah me I think 🤔
What is your date?

BabyG123 · 11/06/2020 12:46

Just ate a whole pizza! Seriously craved carbs. Starving today. But I know I'll feel sick later so stocking up.

@TTC24 I’m due 26th Jan.

I had my booking appointment yesterday and had my scan through for the 10th July. I’ve also booked private scan for the 22nd

Bubbabee · 11/06/2020 13:30

@Sophiamel987 I've calculated my date as 29th Jan.
my booking app is 23rd June and got a private scan next Tuesday.

lilypad88 · 11/06/2020 13:34

@Hopefulmummie hope you're okay sweetie... 💛 thinking of you

@BabyG123 I was just gonna ask... I just had a maccies... I was wondering if that could be hurtful for baby? Apart from the obvious that it's not good in general xD I feel so guilty now but I was craving so bad 🙈

Sunshinedahlia · 11/06/2020 13:47

I talked to my midwife yesterday, and she said something I think others might find interesting: feeling sick in the morning is absolutely normal and a sign everything is healthy. Feeling sick in the evening is a sign of being exhausted. That‘s me! She suggested seeing if I can vary work hours a bit, start a bit later, squeeze in a power nap somewhere.
