Ukbentley · 28/11/2020 17:38

Hi stace sorry to hear that, how long until you are 36weeks?ive had quite a lot of pains since yesterday not sure what it is,my baby was estimated 4lb,8 days ago so they seem pretty similar size,I'm back in on Monday for a scan for blood flow as it's been high and then back in on Thursday for growth and the consultant said if on Thursday he's still on 5th centile and blood flow is still high she will be delivering at 36 weeks but if it improve slightly she will give me a date for c section at 37 plus 3 so looking forward to getting an idea what will be happening

Ukbentley · 28/11/2020 17:40

Forgot to say she said we will have a baby for definite before Christmas

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 28/11/2020 17:47

I'm so glad you're finally getting answers. Hope all goes well for you. Yeah it'll be nice to know for definite when he will be here so you can be prepared etc. Have you got everything you need now?

I'll be 36 weeks in 3 weeks I'm 33 weeks today.

Ukbentley · 28/11/2020 19:34

Yes got everything in,what about you?im 34 +3 today so looking forward to a date as it's so close now from when I go in,feel like I'm nesting now I want it all done but I'm not feeling very able so husband is going to have to start taking all the odd jobs as there is so much to do with so little time,I'm trying to get organised for Christmas and my little girls birthday too as it's 4 days after Christmas as I don't want to leave it any long just really want to relax when I get home from hospital and enjoy the family not trying to sort loads out

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 28/11/2020 19:45

I've got most things, I feel like I dont have enough tiny baby clothes though. My 2nd was 7lb 2oz and was in tiny baby for ages and they said they think she will be smaller.

I'm the same, I want everything tidy and ready but don't have the energy really. And I'm.not even ready for Christmas yet either. I've ordered most presents but its the wrapping I hate. Hope you get everything sorted before baby gets here.

Ukbentley · 28/11/2020 20:34

I've been told to maybe get some small clothes so I ordered some off Asda online and they were really cheap and if I don't use them I can take them back,I got up to 5lb as even though my little girl was 5lb 13 even the tiny baby stuff was massive on her and they have said this baby has small legs head and tummy so at least I will have something to put on him worst case scenario but I had packed his bag for the hospital a few weeks ago first outfit ect but it was all newborn but them growth scans get be wrong too so still going to take the original stuff

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 28/11/2020 23:42

Yeah I would. My first they said that he was measuring around 4lb when he was born he was 8lb 11oz but my second they were around the same he was measuring 6lb something and was born 7lb 2oz so wasn't as off. I'm taking tiny baby and first size/ newborn not taking any 0-3 as even my first didn't fit in that for a couple weeks. I'm repacking my bag after I've washed everything. Been told to pack it early incase I have a bleed. So need to finish getting my bits like maternity pads etc.

PopsicleHustler · 29/11/2020 07:55

I just had a 32+4 scan got growth, and my baby is measuring 4lb 11. Does that seem big to you Ladies for what I am?

PopsicleHustler · 29/11/2020 07:59

Midwifes words on Fridays 32 week appointments were wow 4lb11 already!
Anxious I will have a huge baby. My last one was 8lb3. Born at 40 weeks plus 4.

Hope all you Ladies are doing well.

Anyone also having non stop braxton hicks.

I also feel sick and groggy in the night and school runs and simple housework makes me so exhausted. I have my eldest children help me with the big jobs quickly before they leave for school, lol. I can't even bend down to load the washer as I have an umbilical hernia. Trust me. Its horrid.

StaceImpactWfan · 29/11/2020 08:15

Hi @PopsicleHustler I'm not sure as mine was estimated 4lb 2oz and they said she was on the smaller side, I think i read that the average for 33 weeks is 4lb 7oz so yours maybe a little big but I wouldn't worry as its only an estimate and they do get them wrong.

As for braxton hicks, omg yes I get 5 or 6 a day now, some are slightly painful too.

Do you have low iron? I found that i was out of breath, tired couldn't do alot then once I was prescribed iron its become less. I'm still tired but not as bad.

PopsicleHustler · 29/11/2020 17:52

Hello @StaceImpactWfan

I have no idea if I have low iron or not. How would I find that out?
And in regards to having Braxton hicks, I have them all day long, along with back pain, period like cramps and pressure in between my legs. I also struggle with stairs. Just cannot wait to have her now. This is my number 5.
Hope your pregnancy is going ok

StaceImpactWfan · 30/11/2020 02:55

@PopsicleHustler I found out with my 28 week bloods.

Yeah I have chronic bag pain too. Oh bless you hope it gets bearable for you until baby arrives.

I have a low lying placenta so need to keep getting it checked and low iron other than that and the odd pains its going ok thank you.

Ukbentley · 07/12/2020 14:21

Hi stace got growth scan on Thursday and he had dropped to 4th centile but his stomach had grown to the 50th centile so they are happy for me to go further to 38+5 and got my date for my c section today when I was in the hospital 29th of December (my little girls birthday) 😂can't believe my 2 children will be born on the same day exactly 4 years apart and they couldn't change it as they were fully booked either side of the 29th so must be meant to be,how are you feeling?my week has been ok have had quite a few urine infections last couple of weeks so been on antibiotics for the 3rd week running but has kicked in so feeling a bit better

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 07/12/2020 15:03

Oh wow how ironic is that. So happy you've got a date though. And that baby is OK for them to let you get a little further. So glad you're feeling better.

I've just received a letter saying I've been referred to a womens hospital and I'm not sure what for. So I'm kind of nervous about that. So I'm going to ask the midwife if she knows why tomorrow before I make an appointment. I wish they'd put in letters what its for so people don't panic.

Ukbentley · 07/12/2020 20:13

Thanks, definitely ask midwife Tommorrow and if she can't tell you just phone up where the appointments for and ask as I've been there where you are just left wondering and it's terrible let me know how you get on x

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 07/12/2020 20:33

So I caved and rang them, they said they don't understand why I've been referred to them as I'm not under there care and to ring the surgery that referred me as there's nothing they can do. So I rang the surgery and even they don't know why I've been referred and the dr they did it is on annual leave!! So they left a note in my file for the midwife to find out tomorrow. Its ridiculous none of them could tell me what it was for either, they were as confused as I was.

Ukbentley · 07/12/2020 21:45

I think there seems to be a lot of mix ups happening,I lost it on Thursday when I went in and they were looking at me as if I was mad,I never see the same person twice and everyone I do see tells me different things to a point who do you believe it gives no reassure what so ever, someone said to me there is no growth problems the other day when baby fell to 4th centile and then another came in the room and said there was,so confusing also when I said I wanted to see the consultant I saw 2 weeks previously they said they hadn't heard of her think a lot of them has lost the plot,2 urine samples one after the other in the same day and 2 separate phone calls to say I have an infection when I had already started antibiotics, also 8 different times they tried to take blood and collapsed one of my veins in my hand and had to be sent up to theatre to get someone in there to do it(first time) needless to say they told me do not ever let midwife do that to you again let them try once then call them, hopefully it's nothing or something really simple, have you checked your notes on the app

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 08/12/2020 09:27

Yeah it's getting ridiculous. I have the midwife at 10 so I'll update you then, but I'm not holding my breath.

Its silly what they tell you. They all contradict themselves. One tell you not to worry then the other tells you to worry. Its like which one is it, do I worry or not. Then you Google it and wish you hadn't lol.

We don't have an app with our notes on, its silly.

StaceImpactWfan · 08/12/2020 10:56

I was in there 45mins. 🤦‍♀️.

At first they couldn't get her heartbeat. I knew it was ok cause I could feel her moving. After 10 mins they found it. Then I asked them about all my appointments, apparently they didn't know I was already consultant led and referred me to be for blood tests. They tried to do it there but my veins were rubbish so couldn't so now I have to ask if they can do it at my 36 weeks scan instead. If not then I need to tell the midwife and she will sort something.

So yeah wires were crossed.

Ukbentley · 08/12/2020 11:10

Well that's good at least there is no more added stress,my veins are rubbish too even when I'm not pregnant hopefully plain sailing for us both until the birth now

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 08/12/2020 11:43

Yeah hopefully. I just want my section date now if my placenta hasn't moved, so I can be prepared and know when she's actually going to be here. I'm so impatient haha.

Ukbentley · 09/12/2020 10:05

Aw that's the way I've been for weeks and then them keeping changing the timings nearly put me mad,36 weeks today so just under 3 to go I'm looking forward to it coming to an end,I feel too organised aswell because there has been nothing else to do I don't want to see the stuff that I've bought one more time I'm sick looking at it haha,it's hard not knowing as you can't get prepared and if your like me I like to be very prepared with everything even just getting my mind prepared, feeling nervous about a section too now and wondering is this the right decision as I'm not looking forward to the recovery of it but maybe it's just nerves, also trying to prepare myself having 2 children I really don't know what it will be like is it going to be really hard I don't know but I'm going to find out soon enough, would you prefer a natural birth this time or not fussed sometimes it's the not knowing especially as your not long to go

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 09/12/2020 16:57

I'd 100% prefer and natural birth, my first 2 were. I'm so scared of having a c section always have been. I've packed and repacked the hospital bag a million times cause I don't know if I've over or under packed. I've only got the bare essentials clothes wise until I know what size she's in then ill go shopping to get more. I hate the unknown haha.

Also received another referral letter today, but finally been told its for my anaemia after ringing up again to ask what its for. I'm so fed up of them not telling me things.

StaceImpactWfan · 10/12/2020 09:19

Feeling really odd today. I struggled to sleep (which is normal but last night was different) I kept having bad dreams too (can't remember what they were about but just knew they were bad if that makes sense). Now this morning I feel sick, struggled getting the kids ready and lunch ready, struggled taking rhem to school. Now I'm home and all I want to do is sleep, but I also want to clean. I don't have the energy though and it's really getting to me. I'm having more painful braxton hicks the past few days too and tmi more discharge to the point I'm having to wear liners.

Ukbentley · 11/12/2020 00:51

Funny you say that I have had to start wearing liners as well also I asked midwife and she said she thought I was having the show but it stopped after a few days and she said that can happen and is now just loads of discharge,I have felt very uncomfortable today and I've just had a feeling like things seem close and wondering will I make it to the 29th,the tiredness has went to a new level I'm shattered, also are you struggling to sleep?I couldn't get to sleep until 3am then was back up at 6.20 I'm having repetitive dreams but that's about the height of it,Im also getting braxton hicks and can be painful, also if I go for shopping ect I'm having to stop and it's like I can't move with pressure then it eases and I'm ok again as you can probably tell I'm fed up today I've had enough I've lost all patience with everything but surf I will be back to being fine Tommorrow my emotions are all over the place tonight, poor husband can't take no more haha
