Hi ladies, hope u don't mind me joining. I'm 22+2 and have an anterior placenta.
Been feeling kicks really low down today feels like bubbles and pressure at times... Very strange feeling as normal have just tickles on the sides.
I did get monitored at hospital yesterday due to pulling near belly button and all was well x
Can't wait for January to meet my baby x

Ukbentley · 22/09/2020 22:25

Congratulations Angela, glad all was well at the hospital,is this your first baby

@Ukbentley yeah first baby after 13 years of trying, 1 miscarriage after ivf 8 years ago and 1 miscarriage naturally 4 years ago. Super excited, nervous and all thd other feelings tgat ho with pregnancy xx

Mrs173 · 23/09/2020 08:46

@angelascott wow! What an incredibly special baby! I mean every single baby is insanely special when you think of the process but this rainbow baby even more so. I had a missed miscarriage in Feb and found out at 12 week scan and then conceived just 2 months later and feel so incredibly lucky. The short gap has definitely Not helped my anxiety around this pregnancy though and I’m not usually an anxious person! 20 weeks was a big milestone and now I’ve reached 24 weeks that felt great too. Here’s to the babies kicking us all heaps and reminding us they are safe in there! I too can’t wait until Jan - are you having a surprise?

angelascott · 23/09/2020 09:26

Thank you, yeah it's definitely scary and my anxiety is through the roof some days due to worrying about baby but each week is a milestone
No we found out we are having a boy 💙💙💙

Ukbentley · 23/09/2020 10:24

I tried for 4 and half years with my first and I thought that was hard but 13 years that's massive, how exciting, just enjoy every minute as it will be over before you know it,I missed all the kicks and my bump after I had my first even though I then had a baby,I'm having a boy too this time, also the good news is I conceived first month with this baby my mum always says when you have one it's easier to fall pregnant again it didn't believe her but it was true

OP posts:
Ukbentley · 23/09/2020 10:32

Also Angela when we wait so long for something so special we just naturally worry that it's too good to be true and something is going to go wrong,do what makes you comfortable in your pregnancy,if you need extra reassurance make sure you get it so you can really enjoy it you've waited long enough to be pregnant and if you feel really anxious just phone your midwife even if just to get reassurance as many times as you want,I didn't the first time round and I really regretted just not phoning I caused myself a lot of upset days and worry x

angelascott · 23/09/2020 10:48

Thank you, it sure does make you worry more. We have two Foster boys who are long term aswell but baby is long awaited and like you say because of the long wait it's more worrying but only 17 weeks and a few days to wait if he comes on his due date... Probably unlikley tho. Xxx congrats on ur pregnancy too... Team blue xx

Ukbentley · 23/09/2020 12:08

Aw thanks,I'm 25 weeks today and definitely feeling pregnant now!im getting an elective section at 39 weeks if he lasts that long as my little girl was born at 37 weeks so feeling like it's going very quickly, also my little girl was very excited about this baby at the start and now she is unsure so going to have to buy some big sister books and try ease her back into it and get her prepared,I've tried involving her but seems to be making it worse

angelascott · 23/09/2020 13:21

Aww it must be hard for only children to get used to not being the baby or only one any more. I'm sure she will get there and enjoy baby once he arrives 🤞🤞🤞 my boys are quite happy at getting a brother (they are long term foster children so class baby as brother) although the youngest wanted a sister initially 😂

Ukbentley · 27/09/2020 16:42

How's everyone been doing this week?im good had lots of movement last couple of days which has been really nice, sickness has gone now too, just a bit of heartburn and sore back and boobs so can't complain too much

OP posts:
Mrs173 · 27/09/2020 19:37

Hey! I’m really good thanks - 25 weeks today - still can forget I’m even pregnant I feel so normal 😂 get the odd sore back or ribs but not too bad. Boobs normal still so not much change other than a few groans when I bend over to grab something haha! I still can’t say I notice a pattern with any movements and annoyingly it’s still so so low down so I can’t feel as much as I would like too but enough I know they are wriggling away- have my 25 week appointment on Wednesday this week so will be nice to know everything is looking ok. Glad you are ok UkBentley and looking forward to hearing how everyone else is!

StaceImpactWfan · 29/09/2020 19:49

Hey, I'm doing good too, was poorly with a cold so had to isolate for 2 weeks as the school wouldn't take the children due to coughing and we couldn't get tested.

Baby girl is moving loads now, had midwife appointment today everything seemed fine. Got another scan at 34 weeks to see if placenta has moved or not. Apart from the tiredness and backache everything is good.

Hope everyone is well.

Ukbentley · 29/09/2020 22:37

We must only be a week apart mrs173,I'm not getting regular movement either apart from about 12 at night, last 2 days he's hardly moved all day but moved at night so I'm not going to worry,I still have the cold yet it will not budge,I'm 26 weeks Tommorrow, finally vacuum packed all my normal clothes as within the last week they do not fit anymore, feeling more organised now that I can open my wardrobe and everything that is in there fits and I don't have to keep trying things on,my growth scan start in 2 weeks and also have a glucose test too anyone else getting one of those?

StaceImpactWfan · 30/09/2020 07:21

I had the blood test for diabetes 3/4 weeks ago, but heard nothing back. My urine sample was fine yesterday.

Ukbentley · 30/09/2020 10:41

So it's for diabetes that slipped my mind I got the leaflet weeks ago but never looked at it I think I got that last time too but was ok,if you don't hear is that good news?

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 30/09/2020 12:05

I'm assuming so, my midwife didn't say anything and when my sister had it done they told her same day or next day that she had it.

StaceImpactWfan · 06/10/2020 20:26

Has anyone else experienced braxton hicks yet?

I think I'm getting them every so often like 3-5 times a day. Not painful or anything, I just don't remember them this early with my second lol.

Ukbentley · 06/10/2020 21:38

Nope never had anything like that yet,how many weeks are you now?one thing I am getting are plenty stretch marks on my boobs they have gotten so big,got me down a bit tonight to be honest also feel very big don't know how much more growing I can do haha

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 06/10/2020 22:48

I'm 25+3 now been getting them for a few days... Yeah I feel like I can't get much bigger but obviously will and I'm struggling to walk with my back pain. Ah don't get too upset, it's all natural. I've got stretch marks everywhere too.

PopsicleHustler · 07/10/2020 01:29

@StaceImpactWfan

I am expecting number 5. And literally having Braxton hicks all the time, it drives me insane. 25 weeks pregnant and I cant remember them being this early as with my other ones they were all much later on into the third trimester. These are constant and not so much painful but can make my stomach tight and uncomfortable

PopsicleHustler · 07/10/2020 01:30

@StaceImpactWfan your due date must be roughly same as mine..... waheyyyyy

I am due 18th Jan

StaceImpactWfan · 07/10/2020 07:24

@PopsicleHustler yeah I don't remember them this early either. I'm not concerned as its normal. My stomach goes tight that's it, there's no pain etc.

Yeah we're very close I'm due 16th Jan.

Ukbentley · 07/10/2020 09:09

I'm 27 weeks today, growth scans start in a week so will let yous know how I get on I'm hoping all is well,I know I'm going to get a lot bigger too just didn't get big first time so a bit unexpected 😂also only old stretch marks came out first time and went away these are all new just take a few days to get emotions around it it can be a shock to the system,aw my back is killing me too I tried a warm bath but that has made it worse I'm hanging over the side trying to get comfy, apart from that I am feeling quite good just the usual stuff restless sleep ect

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 08/10/2020 09:59

You're exactly like me @Ukbentley. Apart from the back and not sleeping and feeling tired all the time I feel great too. Yeah let us know how your scans go. I have one at 34 weeks to see if my placenta has moved but that's it this time... My first I had growth scans due to my bmi and second altogether I had 22 scans with him due to his heart condition, so it's odd not having them this time haha.
