Aw that's really good, will be lovely to have your own room,I found it to be quite a nice experience at hospital this time, and they would even make you a cup of tea at 11 at night,I would relax as I haven't slept in 9 days😂my baby is up all night we are not sure if it is colic or cows milk allergy like my little girl,I just feel so helpless as he seems in pain, spoke to the midwife as she said we have just to keep an eye on thing so hopefully it will get better soon,I'm not afraid of needles but was a little nervous about the spinal they missed the first time and got it the second time once it was over it was fine it was more sore to get the drip things in the hands as they both failed too and had to get it in my wrist, but again once it's over it's over, main thing for me this time was pain relief I'm so glad I got extra medication this time and also first section I was sore for 10 weeks as never took nothing this time 9 days today and I feel great not that sore to get up or down ect,my feet and legs have went 3 times there size and don't seem like they are going down anytime soon, but swelling in my tummy and around scar has went down took about 9 days and still a bit to go,I don't think I would of managed this time with my little girl and a newborn that doesn't sleep without the medication x

Oh bless you. Hope you get it sorted with him.

My eldest had reflux and once we changed his milk to anti reflux milk he was okish with some gripe water here and there too.

Yeah I don't know what sleep is either right now. Baby doesn't stop moving. Midwife just came to check her and took ages to find her position and heart beat she's so awkward haha. I said to her next time she comes to check she'll be in a different position.

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one that is afraid of needles. Yeah like you say once its done its done. Did you have to inject yourself afterwards for a few days as heard you have to do that so nervous about that too.

Ukbentley · 27/12/2020 13:42

I'm on my last injection today and I've got to admit I'm glad it's over as they are quite painful and leave bruises I've been doing my thighs as I find these the best my arm were sore so only did that twice, got my husband to do one and I think he hit something😂the pain was terrible in my arm for 4 days

Oh no bless ya. I'm dreading it. Just had to have steroids and its the worst pain ever ... literally thought I was going to cry. Its still so painful now 5 mins later.

Ukbentley · 27/12/2020 20:38

I only had one injection of steroids 2 weeks ago and it is sore,I took an allergic reaction and had to be admitted overnight and it was that severe they wouldn't give me the second dose clearout

StaceImpactWfan · 28/12/2020 06:21

Hi stace how you getting on,I'm good just very busy and tired but it's all good

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 10/01/2021 10:26

Not too bad thank you, dreading the whole getting the bandage off today but thats about it. Tired too as all she wants is feeding lol but its worth it .

Ukbentley · 10/01/2021 14:31

Did they not make you take bandage off in hospital?that's what they made me do but i I suppose depends on what kind of stitches you get, how's the pain now

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 10/01/2021 19:29

Well it was alot easier than I thought. No i had to keep it on till day 5. I have dissolvable stitches. Still in alot of pain if I don't take regular pain killers but I don't want to rely on them either.

Ukbentley · 10/01/2021 22:07

That's good it's off I had dissolvable ones too but was made to take bandage off before leaving hospital just in the shower,I took regular painkillers for 2 weeks and have taken nothing for the past week and have been fine feel I'm healing really well,I had 2 infections though and had to go back to hospital and they put me on strong antibiotics but seems to have cleared now, how's baby?my baby is getting better has been put on prescription milk as he is suspected cows milk allergy

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 12/01/2021 14:41

Oh bless him. Yeah I'm only taking 4 ibuprofen a day now as I don't like taking pain killers unless necessary so I'm just handling it.

Baby is doing fine she lost 10% of her birth weight so I have now opted it express and give formula she was re weighed again today after 2 days and has now only lost 5% of her birth weight so gaining weight. She wouldn't latch properly and my nipples were really sore so I've stopped actually breast feeding I just try and express every 2-3 hrs.
