Yeah 100% I'm under consultant because of my last pregnancy not because anything is wrong this time, well not that they could see at the 12 week scan anyway. But they didn't see anything wrong at the 12 week scan last time either so it makes me worried.

Keep us updated with your scans. Hope all goes well.

Ukbentley · 23/08/2020 08:45

I'm under consultant care too and same as you all looked well at 12 week scan,I will do and be sure to let me know how you get on with your scan and if you find out what you are having, praying we both have an easy time of it this time and we get healthy babies I'm sure we will x

I will do, yeah here's hoping 🤞 I'm sure all will be well with them both.

Hey, is your rescan today? Hope all goes well. How you feeling?

Ukbentley · 31/08/2020 09:39

No it's tomorrow,I've had a tough week can't get to sleep with the pressure I'm feeling and I just have to sit on the toilet as i feel I need a pee every 2 minutes,I though I had a urine infection but have been checked and it's clear they said baby is laying on my bladder it's a terrible feeling constantly, how are you getting on

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 31/08/2020 10:27

Ah yeah, I know how you feel, I'm constantly needing to pee (not as bad as you though) I think baby is low down still as the kicks are still low. Hope all goes well tomorrow and you feel better soon.

Ukbentley · 31/08/2020 10:57

Will let you know how I get on,only a couple days till your scan too

Hi had my scan today and have to say I was pretty disappointed at how I was treated,I was left feeling so sore like I'm going to be bruised, the baby hadent changed position and insteads of getting me back at a later date she continued for about 25 mins and then said I'm not sure they pictures of the heart etc I got are good enough but they will have to do,then if that wasn't bad enough she said it could be something to do with my bmi my bmi is not a problem and when was weighed midwife said I was perfect, also never got a scan photo 10 days ago or today of what was suppose to be my 20 week scan, left me feeling really upset,I phoned my midwife when I left to get the scan photos checked by someone to reassure me that my baby is ok and she said that a consultant has looked over them and thinks everything is fine but things can be missed I've just been left feeling very uncertain

OP posts:
Ukbentley · 01/09/2020 15:39

Feel like I've really rambled on there just been a rubbish day and now I'm fat 😩sonographer 10 days ago said it was baby's position and that I've had section that was the problem but mostly the position head down facing my back

OP posts:
Ukbentley · 02/09/2020 10:33

Hope your scan goes well

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 02/09/2020 11:13

That's not good at all, they shouldn't leave you feeling like that. Can you not ask for a re scan for reassurance. I get that they are under stress etc, but if they haven't got the correct measurements then surely they need to make sure if that makes sense?
I'm sorry they treated you like that. Keep me updated if you get anywhere. If you don't feel 100% satisfied I think you can make a complaint. Also next time you see your midwife explain how you feel and hope they can get you a rescan. Mines at 1pm and I'm really nervous for some reason.

Ukbentley · 02/09/2020 12:26

I phoned my midwife and she has had a consultant look over the images and he is happy that there are ok but said there is always still things that could be missed,I'm so excited for you,it will be fine let me know how you get on x

StaceImpactWfan · 02/09/2020 14:59

Thats not so reassuring is it.

Its a girl, everything is fine but I need to be tested for diabetes urgently on Monday and my placenta is low lying so need to go back at 32 weeks.

Ukbentley · 02/09/2020 15:28

Aw congratulations a little girl, how funny we both had different symptoms this time round and we both got different genders, that's amazing so glad everything was good with baby, that's good that they have found out now and getting tested right away,is your placenta low lying at the front?

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 02/09/2020 16:04

Yeah it's so strange isn't it. Yeah I'm glad they are testing right away. It's low lying at the back.

Mrs173 · 02/09/2020 20:17

Hey guys hope it’s ok to jump on! I’m 21 weeks now and everything was looking perfect at my 20 week scan which was such a relief after a MMC in Feb. We didn’t find out the gender as we would like a surprise- I started feeling movements at 19 weeks and then last Thursday (6 days ago) I literally felt the movements go from somewhere around my belly button to under my knickerline and It has become a lot less noticeable (less frequent and not as strong). Has anyone had this before? Is it just baby moving position Maybe? If so I’d really appreciate them moving back up haha I still feel them a few times a day but mostly in the evening and not very strong like I was before. Also since the move my tummy around my belly button feels softer and looks smaller to me! As I’m only 21 weeks I know the MW won’t really offer any advice or help With concerns until 24 Weeks and am not due another appointment until 30th September. Pleased everyone has been getting on well! Xx

StaceImpactWfan · 02/09/2020 20:52

Hi @Mrs173 welcome and congrats. Where is your placenta situated? That may be another reason you aren't feeling as much movement. Glad all was well at your scan. X

Mrs173 · 02/09/2020 21:08

Thanks @StaceImpactWfan :) placenta is high and not at the front So Sonographer said that won’t affect movements - baby didn’t move Position until 2 days after scan so I’d love to see where they are now. Have been very active since I posted - must have sensed my concern 😂 just weird as all movements behind pubic bone where as used to be just under belly button! Xx

StaceImpactWfan · 02/09/2020 21:11

@Mrs173 all my babies movements are low down too, must just be the position they are in. If you're concerned in future, ring your midwife or epu they may check you. Glad baby is moving now. X

Ukbentley · 02/09/2020 21:38

Most of my movement is under my belly very bottom and baby is head down facing my back never had a lot of movements up any higher just his position and I'm 22 weeks today, congratulations

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 03/09/2020 08:17

Yeah same with me, she's always been low down I've not felt anything above my belly button yet and I'm 20+5. P. S it's odd saying she haha I'm used to saying he all the time x

Ukbentley · 03/09/2020 20:58

I know haha I'm like that now it's he for me,have you started thinking about buying stuff in yet

OP posts:
StaceImpactWfan · 04/09/2020 17:40

No not yet, I've bought a pack of 3 sleep suits to announce gender to my family but that's it. I've written a list though with literally the bare minimum on as not going overboard this time. I don't have the storage space as in a 2 bed at min so need to wait til I can move. Have you got anything yet?

TruffleMama · 04/09/2020 18:17

Hi all

Jumping on board!

I'm 36 and this is my first pregnancy. I'm currently 21+5. Baby is due on 10th January, although I am having to have a C section, so arrival date will be sooner.

Had my 20 week scan last week and everything thankfully appears normal and baby is developing well. The sonographer did point out that babies legs are on the longer side of the normal-range.. not sure where she gets that from, both DP and I are short!

We had a Harmony test at 10 weeks and found out that baby is a girl! This was confirmed at the 20 week scan. DP and I are over the moon!

Have felt her moving for the past couple of weeks now. Some days she's really active, other days not so much. Initially felt her right at the top of my tummy on my right hand side. Now I mainly feel her at the bottom of my tummy, on my left side, near my knicker-line.
