I have struggled with clothes too and just wanted some loose dresses as it feels uncomfortable to have anything on my tummy. I got 4 dresses from next and all were fab so may be worth a look. Two of them were maternity dresses and two were from their normal range but I got a size up and plenty of growing space so hopefully they last through the summer!

peachypetite · 01/06/2020 11:30

@Beccarans89 do you mind linking to the dresses?

ChampooPapi · 01/06/2020 11:32

I just brought two dresses from from free people on asos which are absolutely gorgeous! Just went size large as plenty of room for bump

@EithneBlue @firstbabybell it is only a small lawn, thankfully. But needed doing and I wanted to lay out in the sun, but by the time I had finished didn’t feel like it. 😂

Have a feeling that will be the last time I will be mowing the lawn!

ChampooPapi · 01/06/2020 12:21

Also is anyone finding the bloat is going so the 'bump' is decreasing? I look less pregnant now then I did at 10 weeks!

And so sorry all the women who are suffering, it is really hard. Your told it'll be over by 12/14/16... Weeks and then when it's not it feels even more relentless. It will get better, it just takes longer for some of us, litrally like a few months longer which really sucks. But the placentas are taking over now and there will be better days, each day is a day closer to getting these babies out and having our bodies back again.

Teaandbiscuits123 · 01/06/2020 12:59

@ChampooPapi that green tshirt dress is gorgeous - I might have to try it!
I noticed that my bump reduced a few weeks ago - it was a bit of a shock but I think that was just the bloat reducing and then the ‘real bump’ started to appear! X

ChampooPapi · 01/06/2020 13:58

@Teaandbiscuits123 I know right! I want it too but my budget for maternity dresses has been fully blown. I really think that certain styles are actually better in non maternity wear and you'll get to wear them afterwards next summer when some of us will be breast feeding and beyond.

Glad I'm not the only one who has little to no bump, just ballooning weight wise currently 🙄

Pinktruffle · 01/06/2020 14:07

My bloat and need to wee has decreased a lot in the past couple of days. I'm sure it's all normal and its baby moving in to position but has made me worry! I'm glad I have a scan in 2 weeks

ChampooPapi · 01/06/2020 14:29

@Pinktruffle it does make you worry doesn't it, even though it's all normal it feels really weird after expanding so much and looking very pregnant. Then you wake up like I did this morning and your stomach is basically flat laying down and you just don't 'feel' very pregnant, especially of your symptoms have decreased. It's un-nerving!

OP posts:
Pinktruffle · 01/06/2020 14:36

It is! I keep reminding myself that the chances of something going wrong now are quite low and I shouldn't let myself go in to a panic, this all normal! My maternity wear is DH's t-shirts and I'm still wearing those so havent even been in my own clothes for a while (I'm unable to go to work), I'm sure if I was wearing those, I'd be noticing it more

MummyShark97 · 01/06/2020 14:43

@pinktruffle @ChampooPapi this is so true and I can imagine even when I do 'feel' pregnant I'll be worrying when the baby has a quieter day with movements etc!

chubbyhotchoc · 01/06/2020 14:47

@ChampooPapi my bloating is horrendous. After breakfast it starts and increases throughout the day but I have had this issue since the tt. It's just worse now. Literally like a football under my boobs.
Clothes are a challenge. I find so munch maternity stuff looks so dowdy. Boohoo there's a lot of dodgy stuff but I got a few maxi dresses and I'm very comfy in them. I've ordered another couple from next and Shein. This one I'm not sure if I should have bought a plainer pattern.

The shein stuff I have my doubts about but we will see

nearlyamummyof3 · 01/06/2020 16:41

I have my two scans on Wed @RunnerGirl123 🥳🥳

Trying to buy clothes as well to take my mind of this sickness
Thanks for recommendations @ChampooPapi
I agree boohoo is terrible so is shein I sent a whole order back last week!
I got some maternity trousers from Tu they are still to big but look like they will be super comfy 😍

Might order a nice fan this week as well. Just trying to wait till we finally find a house before I order anything big it's so because until we have an address I can't even register with a new doctors or refer myself to the new hospital

Hope everyone is well
Did we have any scans today?

nearlyamummyof3 · 01/06/2020 16:43

I have just seen your message about Shein @chubbyhotchoc my stuff was truly awful I hope yours is better 😊
It felt Like the deal was a little bit too good lol x

nearlyamummyof3 · 01/06/2020 16:44

It's so stressful my message below was meant to say in the bit about house buying
Sorry didn't make much sense 🤪

peachypetite · 01/06/2020 16:50

Is anyone else finding most maternity stuff is covered in flowers? Grin

Icantthinkofanickname123456 · 01/06/2020 17:09

Great advice here, thanks ladies, with all the shops closed it is so hard where to look for decent maternity stuff. I have managed not to need to buy any maternity stuff yet and just live in skirts and more forgiving trousers I already have (other than a few new unwired bras I've bought from M&S) but I think im going to have to start ordering soon as I am going to be going back into work and so need some more practical clothing I can wear in a lab (no comfy summer skirts and flip flops in there).

Does anyone have any recommendations for some nice stretchy jeggings/lightweight skinny jeans? I need something that will protect me but not be too hot. Its hard to tell how much give things will have when looking online.

Also, does anyone find their bump is almost non-existent in the mornings but really shows by the evenings then when you wake up its gone again? I know mine is mostly bloating now and not yet baby but the daily cycle of here one hour and not the next is quite interesting! I am currently 14+4

danielasummer · 01/06/2020 17:24

Hi ladies, I know this might be a stupid question (please forgive me!) - I'm about to make some Linda McCartney Vegetarian Mozzarella 1/4lb burgers but it doesn't specify on their website whether the mozzarella is pasteurised or not - would you eat these? Thanks in advance from a paranoid first time mum! x

Pinktruffle · 01/06/2020 17:27

It'll be fine if it's cooked @danielasummer. It would kill any bacteria if there were any present
