... has anyone else had any ridiculous mood swings? I just had the kind of rage where throwing something was the only cure Blush and am now hiding in bed with some ice cream.

peachypetite · 31/05/2020 18:31

I felt quite ragey yesterday.
This afternoon I’ve burst into tears for pretty much no reason, just something my husband said that made me feel really (irrationally) sad so I started crying Confused. Feel like my hormones are definitely out of control.

nearlyamummyof3 · 31/05/2020 21:18

I have terrible rage @EithneBlue my poor boyfriend.
I've just ordered that gel pack @ChampooPapi hope it works for these headaches.

I've had the worse nausea and sickness of my whole pregnancy today felt awful all day never felt anything like it.
I'm hoping it's just the heat might discuss with midwife on wed
❤️

roro87 · 31/05/2020 22:00

Did anyone lose their appetite recently the only way to stop my nausea was constant grazing but last few days I'm eating like a sparrow apart from the morning I'm not really hungry.

nearlyamummyof3 · 31/05/2020 22:06

I am the same @roro87 and any time I do eat it's like it's sitting on my stomach and I don't feel well till I'm sick 😫
I didn't have anything like this with my first pregnancy that was a breeze 😊

roro87 · 31/05/2020 22:31

As the Nub whisperer couldn't see a nub I sent it to the gender experts to see what they thought and they came back with this. only 4 weeks to my private scan and I can find out if it is true

Snowwhite2020 · 31/05/2020 23:22

@nearlyamummyof3 and @roro87 🙋🏻‍♀️ Im still being sick- have been sick every day this week- and still have strong food aversions, nausea much reduced though compared to earlier in pregnancy (only really for half an hour or so before vomiting whereas before was all day and night) my sickness has maybe been on the more extreme end of the range though so I don’t want to bang on about it to much lol. I’m still on medication for it and that helps a lot. The heat of the last few days has definitely made sickness worse- hopefully that’s all it has been for you @nearlyamummyof3 hopefully @ChampooPapi’s helps pads will help- quite fancy them myself!

Snowwhite2020 · 31/05/2020 23:23

*gel pads

peachypetite · 01/06/2020 07:33

@Snowwhite2020 sorry to hear you are still being sick. I’ve also got very strong food aversions and not eating much.

This morning I have tried on all my pretty summer dresses and I literally have two that still fit! For most of them the biggest problem is how big my boobs are now and I’m busting out! I’ve always had a small back and large cup size and struggle with finding flattering dresses at the best of times. It’s a bit depressing to be honest at how little of my wardrobe I can wear at just 14 weeks and it’s far too hot for leggings. Does anyone else feel like this? Luckily I got a few loose dresses without any buttons etc from Sainsburys to tide me over for now but I think I’m going to have to look at some proper maternity dresses to accommodate my bust and eventual bump.

RestorationInsanity · 01/06/2020 08:00

Morning ladies. Sorry some of you are still feeling so rough. My main food aversion now is to meat. Everything else I can pretty much manage.

Apart from bras I haven't had to buy anything to accommodate yet, but am about to buy a couple of summer dresses that will hopefully keep me going through the hot weather. I've got a slight roundedness low down but I don't think anyone would notice. Am really hoping for a proper little bump soon, otherwise it's just me trying to hold in my bloat!

EithneBlue · 01/06/2020 08:03

@Peachypetite - this happened to me. I am already wearing some maternity stuff. I don't know your style but those hippie-style silk harem pants are also great in hot weather - and literally designed to fit multiple sizes.

Teaandbiscuits123 · 01/06/2020 08:14

@peachypetite I know exactly what you mean about clothing and chest size! I was a 30HH before pregnancy and I’m struggling to find bras and fit into my clothes!! I have some floaty Zara dresses (non maternity) that still fit and have space but other things are already straining across the chest. I haven’t had much luck with the maternity stuff that I’ve ordered so far so if you find anything nice let me know! ☺️

roro87 · 01/06/2020 08:25

I'm all bump but that is where I always gain weight first. like I can still hide it if I have to but I've kind of given up on hiding it now that people know.

I've purchased some maternity bits but so far they've all been returned

@RestorationInsanity snap with the meat I'm the same I can tolerate chicken but no other meat and I was a complete carnivore

RunnerGirl123 · 01/06/2020 08:41

My tummy has rounded off at the bottom now too (but not sure how much of that us bump starting or lockdown snacking) and then pretty much after breakfast the bloating starts lol. I haven't had to buy anything new yet, trying to hold off until I can go see things in shops / try them on first because I'm so fussy and know what a pain it is having to return stuff! I might change my mind though if I'm going to be back in the office sooner rather than later!

RunnerGirl123 · 01/06/2020 08:43

So who's got scans this week?

I've got a consultant appointment on Wednesday originally booked for medication advice, so not sure what to expect from it. I don't think I was meant to have consultant lead care, but not sure if that will change now with baby's cyst but we'll see what happens on Wednesday!

MummyShark97 · 01/06/2020 08:45

I'm at that awkward stage of normal clothes too tight and maternity clothes too big ... good job the weather is so nice as all the stretchy summer dresses are out!

peachypetite · 01/06/2020 09:04

I ordered some stuff from asos and the quality is honestly appalling, the entire order is going back!!
I’ve seen these on H&M and think this is the kind of design to look for - no zips, buttons etc and not nasty polyester which I seriously cannot cope with!

EithneBlue · 01/06/2020 09:25

I have heard that about ASOS and Boohoo being low quality but I'm not really into that sort of cheap fast fashion so I haven't even looked. I seem to have managed to fill my maternity wardrobe alarmingly fast using mostly Ebay. I just grabbed a bundle of 5 black and white vests from for £5 - no idea of brand, but they're vests so whatever. I also just bought a JoJo nursing/maternity summer dress brand new with tags for £16 - figure that those style dresses will be designed to fit a whole range of shapes so be more versatile :-)
Have heard good things about H&M though :-) And the sale stuff I nabbed from Dorothy Perkins was all pretty good, too.

PipTed · 01/06/2020 09:32

I’m still fitting into some of my summer clothes but some of them I am literally shoehorning myself into. I found a denim mini skirt I was obsessed with a few summers back (when I was at my slimmest) and was able to wear that the other day (don’t know how?!), but I did feel and look a bit silly in it - it was all I could find as I don’t have any shorts (they are all high waist denim) that are not appropriate anymore. Have ordered some paper bag waist shorts in a few sizes up so hopefully will be able to live in those.

New look is great for smock dresses and loose shirts at a reasonable price, and the quality is good too! I’ve just put an order in so will let you all know.

Feeling for you busty girls! I’m not a busty person, but they have grown considerably over the past few months, and the struggle with a tight top half and underboob sweat is real!

Anyone else getting dizzy in this heat? I was mowing the lawn yesterday and had to sit down for lots of breaks due to the dizziness.

firstbabybell · 01/06/2020 09:33

I can confirm Boohoo is terrible quality - so synthetic. I did keep a couple of maxi dresses from the order though. Just easy for this hot weather. I don't know how they make it look so nice on their website. It's gross in reality.

I got some jeans from Tu who sell mamalicious which are nice.

Also heard good things about h&m.

firstbabybell · 01/06/2020 09:36

@pipted mowing the lawn?! Respect for that! 👊🏼

I did some yoga this morning & got very dizzy when standing from the floor. I had this at the start then it went away for a bit but it's clearly back.

kkr168 · 01/06/2020 09:36

Those of you that have ordered bras, how have you decided upon which size to get?
My bras are now on the last loop & still feel tight, so need to order new but I've no idea what size to get.

I've been mainly wearing beach dresses at the moment, the ones you'd throw on over swimwear, plenty of room in those & fine for lounging around the house/garden.

peachypetite · 01/06/2020 09:40

I like natural fibres and don’t find new look great for cotton/linen in the summer. I associate boohoo with the kind of fashion and quality you can get away with as a teenager! I might check out mango too. I’ve had a look on eBay but nothing has jumped out yet, some Séraphine dresses but they look wrinkled and faded... god this is a nightmare.

EithneBlue · 01/06/2020 10:42

@kkr168 I ordered one of the stretchy ugly ones from JoJo: they're very forgiving in cup size and I used a tape measure to figure out the recommended back size based on their size guide (basically one up from normal) bra is hideous, but incredibly comfy. You can also get a back extender cheap from Amazon if the cups are still right for you :-) If you have not got a tape measure you can use a piece of string and a ruler.

@PipTed - I mowed the (tiny) front lawn this weekend and had to take a couple of breaks - I regret the push mower now, LOL!

Teaandbiscuits123 · 01/06/2020 10:43

@kkr168 I ordered a bra from a company called Hotmilk (I have real trouble finding bras to fit at the best of times) and they recommended going up 2 back sizes and keeping the cup the same - they have a little quiz you do about how far along you are and how your normal bra is fitting at the minute:
