Can't believe how quick the other thread filled up!!! A resident told me today I looked very podgy so that boosted my confidence.....🤣

Pinktruffle · 30/05/2020 13:26

@RunnerGirl123 Are you using Infolic? I'm PCOS too and have been using for the past 3 years, has really helped to control symptoms and regulate periods.

My midwife told me stop folic acid but don't think she has any knowledge of PCOS/Infolic so I've cut down to using it once a day. Are you still using it twice? Im nervous about cutting it down and didn't feel comfortable stopping.

chubbyhotchoc · 30/05/2020 13:55

@firstbabybell it's when you're on your period and you get what I can only describe as a yawning dragging sensation in your vagina. I've had it since my daughter. Not everyone gets it. You might be lucky!

Ayannah · 30/05/2020 14:48

Hey @lockdown84 I’m 2nd December so just a day before you Smile

My trust isn’t doing 16 week appointments, even by telephone. So I won’t have any contact now until my 20 week scan Confused

nearlyamummyof3 · 30/05/2020 15:31

Jumping on new thread!
Our scan to find out gender is £45 as well @ChampooPapi such a good deal I think!

Having it the same day as my NHS one! I hoping the regulations have changed and my partner and son can come to the private one.

Hope everyone's feeling good today!

Beautiful scan @Pe4nutsmum

I'm still taking folic acid didn't realise you were meant to stop! Oops!

RunnerGirl123 · 30/05/2020 16:25

@Pinktruffle yep it's Inofolic, although they've rebranded recently which threw me off a little but still does the same job. The website says it's perfectly safe for pregnancy and can reduce the risk of GD so I'm just gona keep taking it. I'll mention it during my consultant appointment on Wednesday and let you know what they say!

I don't think there are any cons to taking folic acid further but no additional benefits either - so if it's in a multivit for example it's fine.

ChampooPapi · 30/05/2020 17:26

@nearlyamummyof3 I was too, I only just remembered when I read it in one of those bounty magazines. I can't wait for your scan! Is it the end of next week?

I'm getting excited ladies! It's going to be a fantastic Christmas isn't it 🤱🎄⛪💝

Also I'm very pleased as sourced another snuzpod for 15 pounds, such a bargain! On eBay, starting bod was 15, ten minutes drive from ours for collecting. And I won because no one else bidded.

I am beyond happy! And we even have some of our pale pink special paint left from painting our other one so we can make them matchy matchy.

I like a neutral for girls a lot of the time but some things just look perfect in pink

I dread to think what the matress is going to cost, probably about 60 quid but it has to be done. Got to replace theirs even if it's spotless.

kkr168 · 30/05/2020 18:21

Need your opinion on something. I'm not a negative person and try to see the best in everything but today we held a social distance family gathering as my family and his have never really met and wanted them to becauseof the baby. So his sister arrives and is visibly pregnant and announced she is 18 weeks am I being unreasonable to be a little annoyed obviously I congratulated her etc and acted like normal

chubbyhotchoc · 30/05/2020 19:11

@roro87 were you planning on telling them then? It's a bit annoying having your thunder stolen but it's the kind of annoyance you can't really admit to other than on here lol

roro87 · 30/05/2020 19:16

No they knew but was more a heads up would have been nice like we rang them to tell them after our scan and they never said anything. like tbf I didn't mind people talking about it etc just made me feel stupid for telling her. like lovely from perspective cousins will be so close

RunnerGirl123 · 30/05/2020 19:34

@roro87 I would have expected a heads up beforehand too, especially as you'd told them your news and invited them round (when she's obviously pregnant) but it may be they had reasons you didn't know about (maybe previous miscarriage for example). But I wouldn't dwell on it, it'll definitely be nice to have them close together 😊

firstbabybell · 30/05/2020 19:59

@roro87 that's really weird! Presumably the BBQ was supposed to be about your news really as you were hosting. And it would be the first you'd seen everyone.

There's not much you can do about it but they've totally stolen your thunder there. Completely get why you're pissed off.

roro87 · 30/05/2020 20:04

Yes and all my family were there and didn't really know what to say bar congratulations because they'd never met was just a bit bizzare the more I think of it. I am going to just take it as mistimed and focus on the good that hopefully they will be very close and everything will go well. Also pregnant and sunburned aren't a great combo thought I was very careful

EithneBlue · 30/05/2020 21:13

I wouldn't worry @roro87 - sounds like she just hadn't really thought it through. It will be cool for them to grow up together :-)

All my friends are sharing pictures of cocktails on WhatsApp today. I think I was a child the last time I went this long without having a drink. I would like a cold glass of beer right now.

firstbabybell · 30/05/2020 22:06

@roro87 good way to look at it. 👍🏼

@eithneblu I had a non alcoholic shandy today - it was actually really good. (apart from not getting you drunk obviously!) Would recommend 😋

Dee96 · 31/05/2020 10:04

Just had my 12 week scan last week even though I'm technically 14 weeks now , can anyone explain to me the whole nub theory thing? I'm becoming abit impatient about wanting to know the gender and all private gender scans that I can see have been put on hold since they're only prioritising medical needs. I've been staring at my scan picture trying to work out what I'm meant to be looking at, is it even an accurate theory in the first place Hmm

Pe4nutsmum · 31/05/2020 10:36

@Dee96 the nub whispherer on Facebook can tell you. Post a pic and we can all have a little guess.

This is mine, and it suggest Im having a girl because they are paralle, if your nub points up its a boy xx

Yes I used the nub whisperer and the Harmony test confirmed she was right
