I was wondering if someone would set up another thread as it was getting dangerously close to the 999 😅 thank you!

JMill13 · 26/05/2020 08:02

@cannotmakemymindup thanks for making a new one ☺️

Bubblesbebe · 26/05/2020 08:09

Stupid question, but what happens at 999 posts?

cannotmakemymindup · 26/05/2020 08:46

@Bubblesbebe once a thread gets to 999 no one else can post anything. Then we would just loose all the support especially if unable to direct people to the new thread.

So glad you made a new post x

squashie34 · 26/05/2020 09:32

@Beau2020 definitely agree! ☺️

Had a bit of a panic last night- when I went to the loo (this might be tmi sorry!) I noticed that there was a small bit of yellowish stringy discharge, about the size of 5p piece. Could this be my mucus plug?! It wasn't tinged with blood and I don't think if it was, it was the whole plug because that's meant to be quite a lot isn't it? I've been reading it can start coming away slowly and could replenish itself but all last night I was petrified I was going to go into labour any minute 😅🤦‍♀️ I had a bit of a dull backache which didn't help, although it wasn't contraction like, just more achy from my walk. Any advice?!

cannotmakemymindup · 26/05/2020 09:57

@squashie34 I don't know I haven't had that before. Link below may help?

@cannotmakemymindup that's what I had a little read of last night and it definitely wasn't milky and runny like normal it was a small bit of stringy yellowish discharge which makes the bottom bit of that website about the mucus plug seem relevant- but it's far too early! 😫 as it was only a small bit I know that can't be my whole plug so I'm going to keep a watchful eye on it today. Really hope it doesn't mean early labour is impending!

2020Aug · 26/05/2020 10:15

Thanks for setting up @cannotmakemymindup.

@squashie34 maybe speak to your midwife? I've heard you can lose it early on and it can grow back (according to my NCT class). I had a lot of discharge a couple of weeks ago and they asked me in to check it wasn't my waters.

My baby was so low down last night, I just kept feeling wiggles and punches on my pelvic floor 😩, fortunately they've seemed to move up a bit now!

Can't wait for it to be June, then I can say I am finishing work next month and it seems much closer to August. I feel like I'm wishing my life away, but I cannot wait for August to be here!

Feelthefear01 · 26/05/2020 10:58

@squashie34 I've had that a couple of times now. Really worried me but MW said it was fine. 5 more weeks left of work and can't come soon enough. I'm so tired, I just want to sleep all the time.

cannotmakemymindup · 26/05/2020 11:02

@Feelthefear01 the tiredness is real! Soon you'll be able to nap as much as you want!

@squashie34 make sure you talk to your midwife team if you're really worried.

Thanks ladies! Typically I was in for my weekly monitoring at the fetal well-being yesterday afternoon and it didn't happen until last night 🙄 I I'm back there again next Monday and also my 31 week midwife appointment next week so I'm just going to keep an eye on it and if there is more I'll call the triage but otherwise hold out until next week to ask.

@2020Aug tell me about it! I feel like I'm counting down the weeks l, but then equally it's scary to think we will never be on our own again and only have ourselves to look after very soon! 😅

Bert2020 · 26/05/2020 11:29

@squashie34 sorry I was late to the thread and missed why you have weekly check ups? I hope all is ok as can be for you. Hope you’ve no more discharge.
I am also getting so tired, not sure if it’s heat, monotony or lockdown or simply heading fast towards the 3rd trimester. I’m actually starting to worry about the last weeks now as with dd once I started May leave I napped most days and still went to bed early. I’ve no chance of a nap this time Confused

mable88 · 26/05/2020 11:36

Thanks for setting up @cannotmakemymindup Smile

No advice I’m afraid @squashie34 - hope it all calms down and you don’t end up having to call triage.

I’ve got my glucose test tomorrow morning - very upset at the prospect of no breakfast!!

JMill13 · 26/05/2020 11:43

The tiredness is real, isn't it? I haven't slept properly in 2 nights and had to call in sick to work today 'cause I'm so tired. How can you be this tired but not sleep? Tried for a lie in this morning but nope body wasn't having it. So just having a day on the sofa watching Greys Anatomy.

squashie34 · 26/05/2020 11:46

@Bert2020 I've got obstetric cholestatis (aka itching that never ends 😅) so I'm in weekly for bloods, ctg and a very quick ultrasound. I quite like getting to have my 20 minutes sitting and relaxing listening to her galloping heartbeat! Lucky
my liver levels have halved this week which is great news, just hope they don't go back up again!

@mable88 relaxing on the sofa sounds like just what you need right now!

squashie34 · 26/05/2020 11:47

Sorry I mean @JMill13 !!

@mable88 I was meant to tag you in the good luck for tomorrow- hope it all goes well!

Newmama29 · 26/05/2020 11:47

I assumed having more discharge & fluid was normal but now getting worried it could be my waters?? I’m finding I have more clear fluid, not enough to notice at the time but just if I go to the loo I notice it in my pants (sorry for the TMI), should I be worried about this??

cannotmakemymindup · 26/05/2020 12:02

@Newmama29 A larger amount is normal but check out the NHS link above if you are unsure. It tells you what to expect.

OP posts:
Bert2020 · 26/05/2020 12:14

@squashie34 great news on the liver results. Hope they continue to lower and stay down as long as possible.

cannotmakemymindup · 26/05/2020 12:14

@mable88 is your trust still doing the glucose tolerance test where you need to fast? Mine has switched to just blood test only. I think a Hbc1 or something?

OP posts:
mable88 · 26/05/2020 12:23

@cannotmakemymindup I think so, they haven’t told me it isn’t happening so I’m just going to turn up tomorrow as instructed! I asked my midwife at my 25 week appointment and she said everything was going ahead as normal. I think I’ve got lucky with my trust, they seem to be carrying everything on as before.

Newmama29 · 26/05/2020 12:38

@cannotmakemymindup thank you! Having a look at the NHS link I’m not so concerned about discharge as such, it’s more just clear fluid. Could likely be just getting a bit more sweaty with the warmer weather.

Hope everyone is feeling better than they had been in the last few days with lockdown. I always find my mood improves with some sun ☀️
